![]() Author has written 3 stories for Saddle Club, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I like to read, but writing isn't my forte. Obviously. And my name isn't Kelly. And I'm not a horse. Sands of Time drabbles about ending (this is not edited to be easily readable, apologies, but I wrote it a year ago and don't remember the story well enough to be able to edit it): Chaos: "the very first of all, the origin of everything, the empty, unfathomable space at the beginning of time. But, it was more than just a gaping void – as its name is usually translated from Ancient Greek" "The word means chasm, emptiness, and vast void in Greek." (my version) Chaos- where the essence of the faded gods go, once they're forgotten. How other deities like Gaia woke up, after being forgotten/ignored for so long. Where Pan's 'being' is. Beyond Tartarus, even. Cassie's first task. Find Chaos, and fin out how to get Prometheus out of there. We know from Kronos that with more 'worship'/followers, the stronger he got, and presumably something similar could be the case with Prometheus. To keep it canon, since Prometheus was chained up somewhere in SoM (Hermes mentioned him when he and Percy were talking on the beach), he would have to be captured by Zeus relatively quickly. Cassie might be able to be his little lackey for a bit, but ultimately, Prometheus *di* join the side of the titans (maybe because after all these millennium, Zeus was *still* torturing him?). This is clearly something Cassie forgot, or she wouldn't have freed him. That's about where my original plans ended too, I believe, and I believe I actually just ha her un-heroically being killed by a monster or something. She is a half-blood, after all. They do that sort of thing. If not, she would have gone to Luke, since she still wanted to get him to change sides, and 'see the light'. She would have been unsuccessful (canon), but her persistence and influence would have been the reason Luke was able to, at the last second in BoO, o the right thing. The reason for her being there would be unknown (why this took so long to be posted, actually. I was talking to my beta about this for a while and we were trying to come up with a different deity than prometheus, so that her coming to the PJO world would make sense. I think Chronos (time titan) and Helios (the former Apollo, who was the sun/life/creation god/titan) were thrown out there, but last night I decided 'screw it' and just posted to get this over with). Maybe it was Chaos itself. Maybe Chronos. Maybe Apollo, who was slated to be her father (a few easter eggs in the story, I believe), since he has some magic powers about prophecy and knowledge. If she made it through all of the battles, she wouldn't go back to camp. She didn't belong there; she didn't belong in that universe. She would be an outsider, and know things about the other campers that would just make her feel... wrong. How could she talk to Percy knowing all of the choices he struggled with had to make? Or how his mom was treated by Gabe? She would be too afraid she would let something slip, and people wouldn't have trusted her as much anyways, after being on 'the bad guys' team. It would have been years since she first arrived in the PJO world, and she would have matured. No more 'oh my gosh! this is it!', every time something from the books came up. She would be responsible, and know what she needed to do. And what she wanted to do was to get back home to her world- to her mom, in her city, where she didn't have to worry about monster attacks at every corner. And that version of the story would end there, with her starting the search for a way back. |
