Hello, my name is David, I am a full-time professional writer and publisher. As of now, I have written 3 published novels (re-releases are coming later this year and next year) close to 200 scripts for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and movie reviews combined, as well as numerous fanfictions here. I am the winner of the 2018 Writer of the Year Award and the 2011 Best Practicing Writer Awards for both the Canadian and American side of the border. I have been writing for 25 years (since I was 6 years old) and I have absolute high respect for the art form. I pride myself in providing the best writing I can within each chapter of my stories, in doing so, I feel like I am honoring my stepdad's memory after he sadly passed away in 2003. In doing so, I have found that writing has given me my deepest set of values. It has become my most cherished form of art, and also contains my most cherished beliefs which are as follows, "Express Yourself,"

However, with that, I have extensive training in the field of creative writing and a doctorate in the English Language and therefore I am able to tell almost immediately if a story is going to be good. Which brings me to my next point, criticism, if I review your story, take everything I say as constructive, I am here to help, I am here to better writers and their abilities, just as I would at my job. Only here, I don't have to tell you to give up on your dream because this manuscript can not and will not be published this way. That is an everyday thing in my life, I get over 200 manuscripts in a single day, and reject 98% of them, if I tell you a story is good, then I genuinely believe it is GOOD, if I say that you need some improvement, then you need to consider why a professional would say such a thing. I don't intend to attack you and will list both positive and negative things in my reviews. That IS what a review is, criticizing the work for positive and negative in a way to better the writer's abilities. It is not giving 100% praise and 100% negative. It is not, get off the site you can't write, or you're a god in the writing world. That is not what a review is.

With that being said, I deeply thank you for checking out my profile and thank you for supporting me in my career as a writer, I write to entertain and to tell a story. The elements of my stories will always have their ups and downs, as I love to think of my storytelling abilities as a roller coaster, complete with its ups and downs, deaths, dangers, but by the end of you'll have a great time and get what you came for.

Currently, I am remastering my RIO: THE DARK ROBES Saga, which is a series I wrote back in Mid 2011 after seeing RIO in theaters, for many reasons I consider it the definitive version of what I consider to be my "FANNON" timeline leading from RIO to RIO 2 and even beyond that. Here are the reasons why I consider the remaster to be the "OFFICIAL" and "INTENDED" story that I always wanted to tell to the fanfiction world.

-The whole saga from arc 1 to arc 13 is ONE story, and are meant to be seen like star wars episodes 1 - 6, it is meant to be seen as one continuous story line.

-The remaster tells my original vision for the story, which when separated in 2011 - 2013 had to have scenes toned down and scenes completely omitted and cut due to confusion on reader's parts who have not read previous installments. The remaster restores all cut content and restores the original tone and mood, even darkening the motivations of some characters who had to be lightened up to keep within the "T" rating.

-The remaster takes place in 1 universe, the same universe as the movie, and the entire otherworldly arc (Journey to the Crystal Empire, Descent into Darkness, and Dark Katta, are no longer part of the official timeline.

-The remaster tells the story of Blu and Jewel in full detail, leading from RIO to RIO 2 to their happy ending. All characters have been re-included with their official roles their correct timings which had to be cut when separated back in 2011-2013

For those of you who enjoyed the altered timeline, here is the order in which you should read them.

Chronological order for my Rio Fanfics

Arc 1: Falling in Love

Genres: Romance, Adventure, Fantasy

Status: complete

Plot: Blu has just done it, he has risked his life to save the bird he cared for. Jumping from the plane, he has to do only one thing, catch up to her. When he succeeds and they share a passionate kiss, his life begins to get turned upside down. What is the next step to take? Where will the next step lead them? Was the kiss just a fluke? Or does she really care about him? He is after all only a domesticated pet who has received everything he wanted while living life among humans, while she, a warrior bird and wild animal has lost everything because of humans. However, Blu can see more to it than just that. Jewel contains sadness within her heart, which manifests as a ghostly creature. Who is she? What is her goals? And why is she claiming to be from Jewel's past?

Arc 2: The Revenge Game

Genres: Romance, Adventure, and Fantasy

Status: Complete

Plot: It has been 3 years since Blu and Jewel have been released into the wild, protected under the Blue Bird Sanctuary and the Brazilian Bird Protection Act, making it illegal for any harm to come to a bird within the Amazon Rain Forest. Blu and Jewel have settled nicely into their roles in life. However, an old enemy is about to make his return. Naked, injured, flightless, and out for revenge, he sets his sights on Blu and seeing him as little more than a pawn in a vicious game of chess, the game is afoot as Blu goes missing after a vicious attack leaving behind a corpse and a lot of blood. Believed to be dead by everyone except Jewel, the question remains is she right? Or is her feelings only stopping her from accepting the truth?

Arc 3 The Shadow of Doubt

Genres: Romance, Adventure, and Fantasy

Status: Complete

Plot: Three weeks have past and Blu's wing is still seriously injured. He can feel the sharp stabbing pain of his joint as it became more and more dislodged from his torso. Even Tulio can not fix the damage. Then comes his daughter, the two share such an immense bond and she misses the day of flying with him. Blu begins to worry about if he'll ever be able to fly again... would he disappoint her daughter? Would he disappoint Jewel? Would everyone stop loving him? Blu becomes lost in the shadow of doubt, that is of course until a mysterious macaw tells him of a wonderful orchid hidden somewhere in the Amazon Rainforest... an orchid which can cure anything... the catch, it'll only work as a flower, and it'll only be bloomed for a short time. Blu and his daughter set out on a father and daughter road trip in a desperate race against time in order to save him from being a flightless bird once more. Will they succeed in their quest?

Arc # 4 Fall of a Hero

Genres: Romance, Adventure, Fantasy

Status: Completed

Plot: Blu seriously strains his relationship with his friends and family when he is forced to face his destiny. When a prediction foretelling immediate danger to the spix macaw is about to be proven true, Blu must find a way to survive against the terrible threat that resides within the Dark Robed Society and even worse, he must survive again the terrible evil that resides deep within himself? What is this darkness that he is feeling? Can he be freed from its clutches? Can he defeat the most dangerous member of the Dark Robed Society he has faced yet?

Arc # 5 Path of a Thief

Genres: Romance, Adventure, Fantasy

Status: Completed

Plot: In order to convince Blu that he is a worthy boyfriend to his daughter, Rose. Rico reveals his tragic tale of love and his first encounter with the Dark Robed

Society, and how their evil has destroyed his life.

Arc # 6 RIO 2

Genres:
Status: Completed

A retelling of RIO 2 with fixed plot holes, new characters, and a much bigger plot than the movie could show.

Arc 7: Sweet Sweet Revenge

Status in the remaster: Completed

Plot: Things could not be worse for Blu as a dark and powerful new villain reveals herself to him, this one far more sinister than anything he has ever faced before. With the final shadow mark, "The Mark of Immortality" glowing on her wing, and the ability to not suffer any serious harm, Blu must find a way to save himself, his family and the entire jungle before her master plan destroys everyone and everything he cares about.

Arc 8: To Save the Future.

Status in the remaster: Completed

Plot: Blu is rescued from captivity thanks to Jewel who has set her talons out to save him any way possible. However her feelings may not be as strong as she has believed as she is reunited with a blast from the past, a whole tribe of Spix macaws, led by her father Eduardo, and her best friend Roberto, romantic feelings start to fly between the two as does Blu's jealousy towards the pair. Does he have the right to worry? Will Jewel leave him? Or is it all in his mind.

Arc 9: Kidnapped

Status: COMING SOON, MAY 30TH 2020

Plot: It has been 10 years since the battle with the Dark Robed Society, and peace has been restored to Rio. Blu and Jewel's battle with the Divine Master has become one of legend. On the Eve of the battle, Rio celebrates with the Festival of the Hero. The food is heavenly, and everyone has taken to the streets with joy... all except for one... Rico... he is deeply troubled by the behavior of his son, Bricket. The young Macaw is a troublemaker. Starting fights, insulting his family, and worst of all, putting shame upon everything his family stands for. However, Rio remains unaware of an approaching threat. A creature from the past is about to emerge. He wants one thing... Revenge against Rico, and the remaining Spix Macaws. With a conniving plan in mind, he intends to do one thing. Kidnap the newest generation of Spix's Macaws and steal them away in the night. When the plan succeeds, can Rico get them back?

Arc 10: Return of the Hero

Status: COMING SOON, SUMMER 2020

Plot: When Bricket finds a mysterious book within Linda's library, it brings a freak lightning storm and the mysterious reappearance of the hero of heroes, Blu. But how? Was it magic? Was he alive the whole time? Even Blu isn't sure. His memory regarding the last 10 years is little more than a fuzzy haze. As he searches for answers. he comes across one clue, he must speak to a creature who may be able to help him. A creature he holds no memory of. His father.

Arc 11: The Rio Castaway

Status: COMING SUMMER 2020

Plot: After a deadly storm, a young macaw washes ashore on the beach of Copacabana, injured, half-drowned, but alive. As she struggles to remember how she got there, where she came from, and the fine line between friend and foe, there is only one group of birds who can help her. Bricket, and the next generation of Spix macaws, thus begins a new adventure of betrayal, love, and the stormy seas.

Question: As a publisher what advice can you give me to improve my writing or even publish something

Answer: These are 2 very different questions!
When writing, paint a picture with words. Do not say the ball bounced across the road, show me how it feels in your hands
show me how it sounds as it hits the ground, show me how high it goes,
show me how many times did it strike the ground?
Show me, don't tell me!

When publishing
1) Get a lawyer so you know your rights to our contract
2) Never ever one-shot a story, publishers want sequels, lots and lots of sequels
3) You need to show you can handle rejection and criticism, those are your badges of honor, treat them as such
4) Join a writing group, we'll take you more seriously if you have credentials
5) Always keep writing, no matter how many times you get rejected. It only takes one story to get through to make a career.

Question: Besides writing what do you do?

Answer: I am a practicing ventriloquist, magician, and internet comedian.

I am also a publisher, gamer, and Brony

Question: why are your stories so dark

Answer: my stories show the power of true love, which I believe is the most powerful force on Earth.

My stories take a very Don Bluth style, showcasing the worst things you can go through,

tragedies, overcoming the past, revenge plots, deaths, and so many more challenges.

But all of it strengthens the power of true love, and working towards a happy ending, should Blu and Jewel survive.

Question: What is your opinion on Ricardo the Black Hawk

Answer: I have known him since 2012, he is what I would consider being a best friend

Question: Are you a member of the critic's united group attacking writers?

Answer: Ummmm WTF is that??? I am in no alliance other than the Brotherhood of the Pen and that was years ago

back when I started fanfiction. I have no idea who these alliance guys are?

Answer: They're listed in the favorite author's portion of the profile

My last name is Kraft so obviously it would be Chinese food XD

Question: Do you plan to write anything after the Dark Robe Remaster?
Answer: YES, I have a second master story planned to focus on the children of Blu x Jewel and their adventures

through love, villains, and raising their own children

Update: These stories are in the planning stages, I will get to them in time, just not sure when.

Question: Why is your remaster so dark and filled with violent bloody scenes?

Answer: I always pictured my stories in a particular way. Due to complaints from readers I had to seriously tone the
story back in order to avoid backlash. The Remaster is restoring all the original scenes that I wanted to put into the story for dramatic purposes

Example: Blu's transformation into Dark Blu was seriously toned back due to Blu having to die during it to get the dark personality to take over fully.

Question: Does anything inspire you to write your stories?

Answer: I write to various pieces of music when a piece of music appears in the stories I am listening to it while I write. I also use fast-paced music during action scenes, romantic music during the scenes of Blu x Jewel's relationship blossoming, the entire Rio soundtrack to keep my focus upon Rio in general.
I also take inspiration from the people in my life. Rico (remastered version) is based off my good friend Ricardo the Black Hawk.
Sabrina is based around my Ex-Wife, cruel, evil, and completely self-serving.
The Dark Robed Society is based loosely around The Band of seven / The Shichinintai from Inuyasha as well as the Dark Signers from Yugioh 5D's

Question: What is your favorite part about writing?

Answer: I love being able to entertain people, it is something I have always done in one form or another,
whether through ventriloquism, magic, writing, singing, or doing online reviews. Writing is the hardest form of all of these,
as your technique will either make you or break you. I love being able to create more complicated stories which make you (the reader)
question your morals and whether you're supporting the right side of the conflict or not.
That way we can discuss it and we can learn more about each other through discussing the story and the morals.
Even if you don't agree with my stance on a subject and I don't agree with yours, at least by discussing it I can understand why you have come to your conclusion.
That to me is what writing is about and the answer I continually strive for
telling a story detailed enough to bring people together to talk about their sides of the argument and to learn more about each other.

Question: When I type you name under story it comes up with stories that are not well written
and have your name in bold. How could you be a professional writer

Answer: There have been a lot of stories lately that says "Beta read by Kraft58" I don't understand where they're coming from.
due to my extremely busy schedule, there is a very good chance I have had nothing to do with these, and they're
just throwing my name on it.

Since this affects my career, if you find a story that says Beta read by Kraft58, please let me know.

Question: What are the shadow marks, how do they work?

Answer: The shadow marks are the mark the marks carried by the villains of my first arc "The Dark Robed Society"
They are marks created by a powerful voodoo curse which matches the mark which closely resembles the barer's soul.
They appear when a creature is seriously injured and needs a mark to survive, should the creator of the marks choose you worthy enough to bare one.
Wearing a mark is risky because if you are not worthy they'll destroy you.
There are eight marks.

Question: Why was Nigel's mark changed from the Mark of Strength to the Mark of Pain?

Answer: To tone things down I changed the meaning of the marks.

Question: why isn't saga 2, journey to the crystal Empire, Descent into Darkness, The Dark Katta a part of your timeline?

Answer: I used to do MLP reviews on YouTube and got C&D'd stating not to make anymore MLP related stuff. That means I couldn't remake journey to the crystal and with the anniversary collection of my trilogy of books
