Author has written 9 stories for Avatar: Last Airbender. September 23, 2007- Yes, I live. Yes, I saw the season premire. No, until I get actual ideas instead of stupid plot bunnies, I'm not writing actual bloody fic. Gotta stick with oneshots to get back into the groove. Name: Fae Sign: Aquarius. Water! Even though, given the cycle, it's an air sign, but that makes no sense. Intelligence: Higher than you'd expect.. Sibs: One annoying sister, who any OC sisters will be based off of, unless otherwise stated. Fave song: Varied. It goes from "No Good Deed" (Wicked) to "I Can Go the Distance" (Hercules) to "The Red Strokes" (Garth Brooks), and everything in between, in the space of a month. Hobby: Computer, books, TV, working on personal fiction, digging through websites for news on fave TV shows or books. Talents: Singing, memorization, improv, acting, storing useless bit of trivia (if you call that a talent), and vocabulary. Oh, and being annoying. (evil grin.) Too many peope have smoked marijuana. In my Cine-Manga, it says that all Air Nomads are Airbenders, unlike the other Nations. On , it says Suki means Beloved. Hmmm...wonder if that will play into the show? It also says that Jun is a guy's name, which means Handsome. Hehehehehehe. Corrections: Zuko's great-grandfather's name isn't Sozen. It's Solzen. Go figure. Thank you, close captioning. Good grief. Okay, you know the musical, Grease? Well, guess what Danny (the head guy) has for a last name? Zuko, as in Prince Zuko. Hmmm..."bad" guyfalls in love with "good" girl...does this sound like a Zutara to me or what? Okay, who here hasn't read "Rhythm of the Rain" by DamageCtrl? I think every Zutara with a pulse has read it. The theme of this fic has gotta be "My Heart Will Go On." (And for you new readers who read the reveiws first, have this in mind when you read this awesome fic.) Too bad it's over. (cry) Random Quotes: Sokka: Yeah, that makes sense. Let's save the guy who's constantly trying to kill us! (Siege of the North, Part Two) Katara: He's just upset because a bunch of girls kicked his butt. Sokka: They snuck up on me! Katara: Right. And they kicked your butt. (Warriors of Kyoshi) Iroh: Don't get overly excited over nothing. Why don't you sit down and have a cup of calming jasmine tea? Zuko (angry): I don't need any calming tea! (If anyone needed it, it's him. Episode: The Boy in the Iceberg.) Zuko (after Iroh told him about the rashes): We're not taking any more chances with these plants. We need to get help. Iroh: But where are we going to go? We're enemies of the Earth Kingdom and fugitives from the Fire Nation. Zuko: If the Earth Kingdom discovers us, they'll have us killed. Iroh: But if the Fire Nation discovers us, we'll be turned over to Azula. Zuko: Earth Kingdom it is. (I would seriously go with death, too. Episode: The Cave of Two Lovers) Sokka: Boomerang! You do always come back! (Guy has problems. Avatar Day) Zuko: Read the inscription. Lee: "Made in the Earth Kingdom". Zuko: The other one. Lee: "Never give up without a fight". (Zuko Alone. That has to be one of the best episodes in the series so far.) Aang: This isn't an exit...it's a tomb. (Cave of Two Lovers. And...) Boromir: This isn't a mine...it's a tomb. (Is there an echo? The Lord of Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.) Merry: I don't know why he's so upset! It's just a couple of carrots! Pippin: And some cabbages. And...and those three bags of potatoes we lifted last week. And..and those mushrooms the week before! Merry: Yes, Pippin. My point is, he's clearly overeactin'! Run! (LOTR:FOTR) Riley: Who wants to go down the creepy tunnel inside the tomb first? (National Treasure) Riley: You know, it took you almost two seconds to decide to steal The Declaration of Independence. Ben: Yeah, but I didn't think I was going to have to personally tell my dad about it! (Poor guy. National Treasure) Sadusky: Door number one, you go to prison for a very long time. Door number two, we are going to get back the Declaration of Independence, you help us find it, and you still go to prison for a very long time, but you feel better inside. Ben: Is there a door that doesn't lead to prison? Sadusky: Someone's gotta go to prison, Ben. (National Treasure, again) Captain Jack Sparrow: No! Not good! Stop! Not good! You're burnin' the food, the shade, the rum! Elizabeth: Yes, the rum is gone. Jack: Why is the rum gone? Elizabeth: One, it is a foul drink that turns even the most respectable men into complete scoundrels. Two, that signal is over 1,000 feet high. The entire Royal Navy is out looking for me; do you think there is the slightest chance they won't see it? Jack: Yes, but why is the rum gone? (Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.) Emperor: The flower that blooms in adversity is the most and rare of all. Shang: Sir? Emperor: You don't meet a girl like that every dynasty!(Mulan) Mulan: What is it with men and asking directions? Shang: What is with women and maps? (Mulan II) Galinda & Elphaba: Yes, there's been some confusion, for, you see, my roomate is... Galinda: Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe. Elphaba:(pause) Blonde. (WICKED!) Sophie: What do you write to a total stranger? "Come to my wedding-you might be my dad?"! (Mamma Mia!) FANFIC QUOTES Mayor Tong: (singing) I've a girl back home who's unlike any other. About Me: Let's get this over and done with; I'm weird, okay? Hate chocolate, I hate punk/rap/hip hop/rock/techno/pop. More Things I Hate: Stupid and incompentent people. Ugh. They really tick me, and my dad, off. The music genres I listed above. They take NO TALENT to do, in my opinion, except for perhaps Green Day and Hilary Duff, but I wouldn't listen to either if my sister didn't. Rude people. Who like rude people, honestly? Jet, Zhao, Ozai, Azula, all from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I hate them. Grant ya, Jet's episode is pretty darn cool, but I don't like him. Basically any baddie from TV, books, etc. Monty Python. That's not so much a "hate" as a "dislike-this-guy's-stuff-with-every-bone-in-my-body". He does provide for funny conversations with my friends, though. Commercials. Even the internet-only radio has them. Cheaters and shallow people. So immature, aren't they? Stomach problems. They stink, both metaphorically and literally. Things I DO Like: Most characters from Avatar. I have a book of quotes bigger than you'd think. Quoting things at the oddest times. I've even quoted Iroh without realizing it! White chocolate. Yum. Older country songs, like "Red Strokes", and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". Old rock. LOTR. I know the end credit songs to the first two movies. Fanfics, duh. Disney! If you'll notice, my songfic is Disney, as are most of the songs mentioned in Out of this World. Neopets. (Yes, I said Neopets. I met a lot of cool people on that site and I don't care if I'm weird cuz of it.) Books. Some parts of the Blue Collar Comedy, though it gets annoying with all the hick talk. (cringe) Gretchen Wilson. Her "Politically Uncorrect" is awesome! "Who Says You Can't Go Home?" by Bon Jovi. Country. Rocks. End of story. Though, now, it kinda makes me think of Zuko, who can't go home right now. Kelly Clarkson is pretty cool, as is Carrie Underwood. BROADWAY! CATS is one of my faves. "Memory" is sooo beautiful. Wicked: A New Musical. Takes all we know about Oz and turns it upside down and inside out. Five songs memorized! Mamma Mia! I have, like, five or six songs memorized! Ireland. It's all so green and beautiful. The music's not bad either. Final Fantasy VII. My friend and I are having trouble beating Sephiroth at the end, when he has that ray that, like, totally wacks the livin' daylights outta ya. If anyone has any tips, LET ME KNOW! (And mean other than using Knights of the Round or Omnislash.) Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Freakin' awesome! Okay, unless you know the game backwards and forwards, you really won't understand some of movie or why Vincent is so depressed-looking, but it's still awesome. Final Fantasy X. Got the strategy guide, too. Kingdom Hearts. FF and Disney, how much better could you get? Okay, throw in Avatar and I will have died and gone to heaven. Kingdom Heart II. Took my friend and I two and a half hours to get through the freakin' prologue! Geez. Oh, well, Roxas is cool, and so is Axel. Axel's evil, but cool. The Sims 2: Nightlife. CARS! Fave Fanfic styles/books/movies: I'll read probably any Avatar ship, but I prefer Zutara (duh). I'll read Aang/Toph, Sokka/Suki, Sokka/Yue, but as long as they aren't the main ship. And that's ALL. I might add on as the season progresses, but not right now. I love the Redwall series, but haven't, and probably never will, read any fanfics. Obviously, LOTR. The books/movies, not the fics. Artemis Fowl. The books, not the fanfics. Shrek 1&2. Those are hilarious. The Fifth Element. Great movie, stellar graphics given the fact it was made in the ninties/eighties. Pirates of the Caribbean. It is soooo funny and just plain awesome. But Capt. Jack Sparrow needs to lay off of the rum. Seriously. No wonder he always looks tipsy. Various other movies. Chinese Cinderella and the Secret Dragon Society. Awesome book. H.J. Ralles. Local author for me, and her books are so cool. Down the Rabbit Hole by Peter Abrahams. REALLY good mystery. Tamora Pierce's The Immortal Quartet. Awesome! Montmorency by Eleanor Updale. It rocks. The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. Awesome book. The Bloody Jack series by L.A. Meyer. A pirate series, but the main character is a girl around 15-16. Have you ever noticed that a lot of good authors live/lived in either Britian, Ireland, Scotland, or some other European country that colonized U.S.A? J.K. Rowling, Brian Jacques, O.R. Melling (The Hunter's Moon),C.S. Lewis, Anna Sewell, Cornelia Funke; all of them live/lived in Europe! What is wrong with our country? Why can't we produce good fantasy? (Grant ya, there are some good American authors, but the majority are Europeans.) You know what's really bad about that show, "Whose Line is it, Anyway?" When they do the Irish Drinking song act, they're actually good! Question: Is a Bender's zodiac sign's element the same as their Bending power? I.e., Katara's sign is a water sign, Zuko's a fire, Aang's an air (Aquarius!) Would it matter for non-benders, like Sokka? Omg, I just realized something. The dance scene in ATOF is VERY similar to the dance scene in Beauty and the Beast. Totally accidental, but cool. Tidbit/Warning: A lot of my fics are gonna mention Disney songs, namely because I love Disney. Get over it. SONGS THAT REMIND ME OF ATLA CHARACTERS (and would make good songfics): I Wanna Be Like Other Girls from Mulan 2. I think Yue would agree with this song, don't you? Can You Feel the Love Tonight? from The Lion King, not the end creds. Sokka and Aang would be thinking what Timon and Pumbaa are if Katara and Zuko fall in love. Cruella De Vil, from 101 Dalmations. Azula is, like, Cruella's clone. A Whole New World, from Aladdin. Sokka and Yue are like Aladdin and Jasmine, especially if you throw in Sokka lying about being a prince. God Bless the Broken Road, by Rascall Flatts. This one is, again, obvious. Something There, from Beauty and the Beast. I mentioned this one in OOTW, so...yeah. Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful? from Rodgers and Hammerstien's Cinderella. Almost any couple and this one comes to mind. Somewhere Out There, from An American Tale. Again, any couple, but certainly Zuko/Katara and maybe Sokka/Yue. Someday, from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, end credits. This song just kinda sums up the whole damn series. What I've Been Looking For, from High School Musical. The reprise could do well in a Zutara. When There Was Me and You, again, from High School Musical. Katara and Jet, or any other ship, as long Katara feels betrayed by the guy. Breaking Free, from High School Musical. (I hate my sister, she got me hooked.) Do I really have to say it? Zutara. Beauty and the Beast. I'm not even gonna go there. But, for those who don't get it, it screams "ZUTARA!" He Lives in You, from The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. It kinda fits the whole "Avatar-is-reborn" thing, since, in Aang's case, Roku does live in him. Dancing Through Life, from Wicked! If it didn't mention the Ozdust Ballroom, it kinda fits Aang's sense of fun when the duties of being the Avatar aren't weighing on him. I'll Try, from Peter Pan: Return to Neverland. (I don't like the movie, just the song.) It could fit how Katara might have felt about her mother being gone and losing hope about the Avatar. I'm Not That Girl, from Wicked. Meng would more than likely agree with the lyrics. And Ty Lee if Sokka turns her down. What I Did For Love, from A Chorus Line. Beautiful song, perfect for a Zutara or any couple. I Started a Joke, by the Bee Gees. Fits the Fire Nation pretty well in my opinion. All I Ask of You, from Phantom of the Opera (never seen it, just heard this song and fell in love). Perfect for Zutara...or Taang, even. That's all for now! TTFN, and all that jazz. Don't ask, just check these videos out. (Not fanfic related, but they're...weird to say the least.)WARNING! They loop. AHHHH!!!! Found the FFVII Tech Demo! Here's a link: |
