Bio (because I'm always curious about the person behind the stories so you might be too): Married. Mother of 2. Carpool champ. Still trying to find a career. I took a break for a few years while raising my kids but now that they're a little more self-sufficient, I've been getting back into posting fanfic. Working on a variety of stories right now for RK. 4/20/20 I forgot to add in Chapter 6's AN that information about the Gatotsu (however briefly I mentioned it) was derived from a very excellent tumblr page. The author has a lot of detailed analyses of Rurouni Kenshin characters, attack moves, and other related aspects of the fandom, including the live action movies. If you're interested in checking it out, they can be found under the username aworldwithroses at tumblr. I think the RK stuff is under older posts so you might have to search for it, but it's there.

3/24/20 Felt an updated profile was needed. Also, I'm stuck inside the house with my kids so why not? Next chapter of Defender will be posted very soon. Only God knows when PML will ever be finished. *headdesk*

2/7/20 Happy belated New Year! A lot has been going and 2020 is not off to a great start for me and my family. But I'm still persevering and trying to get writing in when I can. Hoping you guys are having a better start to the year. Updated schedule below; I know much of it hasn't changed, but now that the horrendous month of January is over, I'm hoping to get more writing time in.

-Balance (Action/Drama/Romance): AU Meiji Japan. By day, Misao strives to be the perfect and obedient wife to Aoshi, an esteemed businessman. But at night, she leads the Oniwabanshu in keeping Kyoto safe. As an enemy threatens the fragile peace in the city with the Westerners, she finds herself trying to keep her two worlds from colliding into each other. 100% complete

-Land Dispute (holding title - Romance/Drama): Modern Day AU. Four years after taking over the dojo when her father passed away, Kaoru's relatively peaceful life is disrupted by a number of unexpected changes: her childhood friend is leaving to confront an enemy of his past, her surrogate mentor has announced his departure which means losing a quarter of paying students, and a scheming CEO seems determined to get the dojo land at all costs by invading every aspect of her life. With circumstances working against her, Kaoru will find out if she'll buckle under the pressure or rise above it all. 85% complete

-Convenience (tentative title - Romance/Drama): AU Fantasy Japan. As a reward for meritorious services rendered, a war-weary Kenshin is granted an easy job in a quiet district. There, the town seems determined to marry off an orphaned young woman whom they consider a burden. He agrees to a marriage of convenience but finds his bride to be fiery, passionate, and determined to carry on her father's legacy. Kenshin finds himself re-evaluating his life and goals as their relationship deepens. 15% complete

-Freed (Romance/Action): AU Fantasy Japan. Sequel to Jailed. Actual plot this time! With his occupation, Kenshin is used to his fair share of enemies attacking him for revenge. But when a past nemesis eyes Kaoru to extract retribution, he'll show them why it's never wise to antagonize a Free Sword. 1% complete
