Author has written 8 stories for Star Wars, Nightmare Before Christmas, Mario, Danny Phantom, Misc. Plays/Musicals, and Spider-Man. My name is Stephen James, or the LemonyShepard. I started this account way back in 2005, when I was an impressionable 15-year-old novice, and unfortunately I’ve been neglecting it for years. Now it’s 2013, I’m 23, and I’m determined to finish every single story that I’ve started. A lot has happened to me since I last updated. My life has been shaken more than once, the innocence of high school has been replaced with the harsh reality of college, and my creativity has been tested beyond its breaking point. I’m not the writer I was back in 2005, or even the writer I was when I last updated in 2009. However, whatever doesn’t kill you simply makes you stronger, and I hope that my writing can reflect my newfound maturity. Anyways, you don’t wanna hear all of this silly babble. You want to read my stories! Here’s a breakdown: COMPLETED: Fear Lock (Nightmare Before Christmas) travels to the long-dead Oogie Boogie's mansion to confront the one thing he never thought he had: fear. I wanted to write something spooky for Halloween one year. This is the result. Spoilers alert: In retrospect, it's not very spooky at all. Octavius vs. Grievous Grievous, rebuilt by the Empire, is now a Sith Lord on a mission to destroy the remaining light in the galaxy. Otto Octavius, resurrected by the AI in his "smart arms", is now trying to join Spider-Man and regain trust to those in NYC. Who will win? Who will die trying? Takes place between Episodes 3 and 4 of Star Wars and episodes 2 and 3 of Spider-Man. 16-year-old Steve wrote this story. Go easy on him; he's learned so much since then. King of the Koopas Bowser, Kammy Koopa, Toadsworth, Chain Chomp, The Koopalings...how did they come to be? Their origins and more are all explained in this prequel to Super Mario 64. Bowser begins his journey as a small and impressionable Koopa, but after the Kingdom threatens his siblings, he learns that he is destined for so much more. But just how far will young Bowser go for power? My most popular fanfic to date, for whatever reason. King of the Koopas: Because I knew You Sequel to King of the Koopas. Kamilia has left, Brank is gone, and Toadstool has vanished. Left only with his brother's eggs and hope for a new empire, Bowser must fight off a strange assassin from another world and stop him from collecting the all-powerful Stars and saving the heir to the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach. Meanwhile, Peach herself slowly uncovers the secrets of her dark past. Just who was her mother? What did her father do to Bowser to make him so ruthless? Bowser and Peach must put aside their differences to save everything they hold dear. Will they simply become allies, or something more? Takes place during Super Mario 64. That Rainy Night She's a confused girl who is only out for revenge. He's a misunderstood hero who only wants to help. Basically, a song-fic one-shot concerning Danny's thoughts of Valerie on a rainy night. ("If I Told You" from The Wedding Singer musical) IN PROGRESS: King of the Koopas: Something Wicked Making like George Lucas and writing the first story last, this is the third and final story in my King of the Koopas trilogy. This story tells the tale of young, naive Kamilia and her best friend, Shoshina, as they enter their first year of Bycaster University to learn sorcery. However, when a series of mysterious events unfolds before their eyes (including a dark murder mystery, a pirate ambush, and a full-scale war), Kamilia must choose between her own desires and her destiny. Prequel to King of the Koopas. Simmer Down, Conan This fic has been cancelled because of terrible terribleness. Chronicles of a Stormtrooper Stormtroopers have always been the anonymous henchmen with incredibly weak armor in the Star Wars series. But who are they deep down inside? You'll find the answer in Cody, Butch, Mack, and Jordo, four average Stormtroopers simply trying to make a living as Vader's henchmen. While the Empire struggles to stop the Rebel Alliance from destroying their battle station, these Stormtroopers just want to watch TV and find their bathrobes. This story was a lot funnier to me back when I was sixteen... Lemony Shepard's Picture Show A bizarre and twisted story loosely based off of a variety of dark Broadway musicals (Little Shop of Horrors, Bat Boy, Rocky Horror, Sweeney Todd, etc.) It chronicles the misadventures of a timid Broadway producer, Leo, and his strange adopted son, Edgar, as they become part of the most bizarre Halloween party anyone has ever seen! After accidentally crashing his car into a ditch, the two weary travelers to seek shelter in a dark, mysterious mansion. As the bodies pile up, Leo must decide who he can trust before the hungry plant, crossdressing alien, zombified barber, and chainsaw-wielding manmad close his curtain once and for all! Alright, people, this stuff is kinda important, so check it out. First and foremost, you guys need to be aware of the fact that I started all of these stories back when I was either 15 or 16. To put that into perspective, I'm currently 23. My two most popular stories, King of the Koopas and Because I Knew You, are real rubbish in comparison to the later chapters of Something Wicked, so I ask that you to read those stories with the patience and understanding of someone babysitting a five-year-old. The concepts still hold up pretty well, it's just my style that struggled. Fortunately, I've gotten a lot of constructive criticism from both of those stories, and I like to think that my writing style has matured since then. And who knows? Maybe I'll go back and rewrite them? Only time will tell. My long-completed projects are Octavius vs Grievous, which was a ton of fun to write due to all of the fight scenes; King of the Koopas, which has kind of become my magnum opus, and is my favorite piece due to the amount of thought and research I put into the story; King of the Koopas: Because I Knew You, the sequel to KotK, which has surprisingly become one of my most popular stories; and two one-shots, which are stupidly-difficult to write. My Case Closed project, Simmer Down, Conan, has been cancelled. It wasn't living up to my expectations, everyone was starting to drift way out of character, and I wasn't familiar with the entire Case Closed storyline when I started writing it. It's a huge mess right now and instead of trying to edit the whole thing, I'm just putting a stop to the madness right now. Sorry for everyone who was enjoying it (I know the Case Closed tag has a lot of fans), but it's done now. However, I do really need to focus on King of the Koopas: Something Wicked. I need to complete my KotK trilogy this year or, so help me, I’ll go crazy. This entire story is literally six years in the making. Six is a nice, round, horribly huge number, and I really don’t want to be still writing it in 2013. Thus, that is my main goal before anything else.Chronicles of a Stormtrooper is funny, and has definite potential to grow, but it’s not at all on the top of my “Fan Fic Priority List” right now. However, I know I don’t have many chapters left in Lemony Shepard’s Picture Show!, so expect me to revisit that as it gets coser to Halloween. To all of you out there who are still following my drawn-out craziness, and take the time to read, follow, comment, and love my stories, I thank you. You keep me going in more ways than one. You have no idea how amazing it is to have people out there who care about your work and your stories. I love you and thank you all! Baa! |
