Leon was a liar for a living. He told stories, he made things up. The easiest and most popular lie of his to tell was love. He never felt guilty because the word fiction in the upper right hand corner absolved him of all responsibility to the truth. Leon had been doing this for years and years. Then he met Cloud.

Her first real visions always of a man. Tall and proud with purple hair and violet eyes clashing swords with a pink haired warrior and he says her name and she feels love. She doesn't tell this one to the elders, instead she folds it into her heart and keeps it for herself. But the next day he is there, kneeling before her.

For the first few days after it happened he would have to constantly remind himself he was alone. His first thought upon waking was 'She's gone,' and then again when his bare feet touched the ground. How often he had to remind himself varied by the day, but always 'She's gone…She's gone…She's gone…' so he would not expect something where nothing was left.

She knows that Etro is not unkind. She understands her sacrifice, but she, and she can not speak for any of the ones before her, but *this* her sits across from him at dinner and prays 'not today'.

Sora Himura had long since decided that he was going to live for love...only it turns out he kind of sucks at that. Or maybe he's just been approaching it from the wrong direction? When his life as he knows it crumbles before him he learns that you have to be totally destroyed before you can be born brand new. Life is a work in progress after all.
