I used to write stories for Stargate: SG1. I hadn't done any writing for a long while. Then Atlantis came along and I got hooked all over again. Then I wrote for Bones, and in the process managed one or two nearly full length novels, before I got stuck on a novel I set in a place I visited for a week then ran out of energy on.

Currently I'm revisiting the fanfiction writing scene with Forever, a brilliant series that I'm sad has been cancelled before I even found it.

I love getting reviews - the ones I really like best are those that give me an idea what bits of my writing work and what bits don't, and how my writing can be improved.

I have many favourite authors, and read in many genres.

I tend to get rather caught up in my writing. I like it best when I'm trying to persuade the characters to do something and they won't cooperate, because that tells me I'm writing true to their characters. There are also times when they insist on doing things their way and not mine. When I learn to listen to them and write what I'm told to write instead of what I fancy writing, that's when the words flow much more easily.

I keep a daily journal, and try to write a little creatively whenever I can. I'm currently working on one fantasy novel, and have other novels in various stages of completion from gathering ideas to finished drafts. I'm also blogging about the process, as well as other topics that take my fancy, on my blog Voices in my head.
