With enemies like these, who needs friends?

My first oneshot, focussing around a chance encouter of Harry and Daphne, who both feel quite separated from their "friends", and are surprised to find a better friend in someone they had thought was their enemy. They form a friendship to start anew across house boundaries.

My thoughts

This really didn't turn out the way I planned it. Both characters end up flirting way too much to be in character, and are much too accepting of each other. My original plot sketch had the two agreeing to go back to their old friends, but continue to meet in the alcove. It seemed to me, however, that it was unreasonable of Daphne to go anywhere near Malfoy, even as a spy, so that plan was dropped in favour of how the fic turned out now. Also, I explicitly wrote this as a oneshot, seeing little point in continuing it after such rushed plot development. Also, I hate writing Ron, the berk.

This is the fic I'm currently working on. The surprise visitor is a favorite OC of mine, and deserves lots of screentime, so this might take a while.
