This Linstead story picks up after 301. Erin is struggling to come to terms with the events of the last few months. Can she move forward and build a life without Nadia? A new detective temporarily joins Intelligence to help identify, locate and capture a serial killer who has plagued the Chicago streets for weeks. However, when he sets his sights upon a happily married Erin, her marriage isn't the only thing she's at risk of losing.

Erin has been pulling away from Jay, and he doesn't understand why. Will they be able to find their way back to each other? This story is set a month or so after the death of Yates.

After the events of Jay's kidnapping and rescue, Erin goes looking for Jay. She needs to see that he is really okay.

A one-shot to follow 3x08. I imagined a little more conversation might have occurred about that phone number.

Linstead. Oneshot. Based on Jay's comment in 3x04 that Erin can do some serious damage in a bathroom. "I don't know who that would punish more – me or you? But, at least, you'll stop doing serious damage to my bathroom."

After months apart, Jay and Erin finally reunite. Things feel different though. Could this be a problem? Written in anticipation of 3x05.

Her voice is sweet and soft and innocent, and I fall in love with her even more in that moment if it is even possible.

"Are you seriously comparing me to being tortured by four men?" Erin questioned, pulling her face from his chest to look into his light eyes. "Not comparing, there's no competition. Your kind of torture is far worse, trust me." Jay laughed as he began to draw patterns on her arm with his fingers.

"Chicago is in her – its streets raised her, broke her, challenged her, and fixed her – but one look at the bend in the river, at the pink hues of the morning sky, at the bald eagle swooping down to snatch breakfast out of the rumbling water and Erin thinks she could love this place, too."

He came with a charming smile and smoldering eyes that always made her heart drum along a few beats faster than normal. He was funny and sarcastic and had noble intentions. He came with a heavy past and secrets of his own, but so did she and neither of them have ever judged the other for the demons that haunted them.

It has only been three days since he last touched her, but it is three days too long and he needs to feel her skin.

She runs a finger over his cheek. "I could get used to this every morning." His cheeks turn pink at her words and he kisses her forehead. "Pretty sure I already have."

When a simple bust goes wrong, Erin and Jay find themselves held hostage in an old warehouse. Will the detectives use their undeniable teamwork to break out of the situation, or will things prove too difficult for them to overcome?
