![]() Author has written 48 stories for Harry Potter, Inuyasha, Final Fantasy VII, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, King Arthur, Merlin, Twilight, Criminal Minds, Pacific Rim, Lord of the Rings, and Wicked Lovely. Hello and welcome to my little corner of Fanfiction.net! I started this back in university (don’t ask, you can do the math yourself) and then gave up afterwards because I was trying to start a career and such after graduating. As one sometimes tends to do. Then sometime back in 2016 or 2017, I came across an unfinished fanfic in my files (Saving Iris) and decided for kicks and giggles to finish it, whether or not I ended up posting it. Well, one thing led to another and I ended up re-writing it and posting it. And the bug most definitely had bitten. I launched into creating my own little universe within the one created by J.K. Rowling (the Wood Series). And then some. And well, you get the idea. Though I will say that at this point, my favorite character to create is Daisy Wood. God, I love that girl. It's why I keep revisiting the Wood universe here and there. Though at this point, I think I can say that I'm done. Already written so much there... I write as I get ideas and sometimes they come from random places. I don’t really limit myself to certain shows/movies/movies/etc, though yes, I know most of my stories are within Harry Potter. (And involve Oliver Wood – sorry, not sorry about that… I was around 16 when the movies first came out which led to me reading the books, meaning that I definitely developed a high school crush on the character, so blame that.) But I do promise that if I start posting a story here, I will finish it. I always get sad when I start reading a story that I enjoy and it’s not completed, so on the off chance someone feels that way about something I’ve written, well, I’ll finish it. Eventually. And… that’s about it. I’m a freelance writer/copy-editor/ghost writer/journalist (basically anything I can do where I write/edit and people pay me money) in real life. I have self-published one original novel so far ("A Walk Among Goddesses" on Amazon, if you're interested) but I'm working on others and hope to publish another by the end of 2020. Hope you guys enjoy the things I come up with! STORIES Random Stories Pure and simple crack involving characters from Inuyasha, Ruroni Kenshin, Wolf's Rain, Fruits Basket, Prince of Tennis, Full Metal Alchemist and more. Yea, this is what I work on when I need to relieve stress... CRIMINAL MINDS - Small Towns (Complete) A string of murders of young women from the same graduating class takes the team to a small town in Oklahoma. But when they get there, they discover there is much more to the story than expected. And it may involve a determined investigative reporter who has come back home set on solving the crimes herself. I've always been a massive fan of the show Criminal Minds and one day, this popped into my head. I've always wanted to try my hand at writing a thriller, so this was mostly an experiment in that. It's short and sweet, and likely my only foray into Criminal Minds fanfiction. Unless I someday get an idea for a sequel, because I kinda like the idea of the couple that I sorta started in this one... PACIFIC RIM - Finding Peace (Complete) Roxie swore she'd never step foot in a jaeger again and she hasn't. But every day she still battles demons from her past. Now the Marshal wants her to go along with a foolish plot to end the battle with the Kaiju once and for all. But at what price? I actually wrote this a long time ago, but held off on posting it for reasons that I have since forgotten. It's a fairly serious story - I wrote it when I was going through a rough spell and needed to find a (healthier) outlet for dealing with my own heavy thoughts at the time. But I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out. And I have a thing for focusing on not-main characters. LORD OF THE RINGS - Bright Light in the Darkness (In Progress) For 100 years, Legolas has been separated from his once closest friend - an incident that he blames himself for. And for 100 years, Elanor has blamed herself for what happened the day she left Mirkwood. But Fate has brought them together again. Will it break Elanor for good, or will the impeding darkness covering Middle Earth get in the way of a true reunion? I started work on this a LONG time ago, but never really thought about posting it. It was just something I would come back to here and there until I got a good chunk of it finished, then realize that where I wanted to go with it wouldn't work within the confines of the lore that Tolkien created. So I started over and this iteration was born. I kept the general story the same (and the characters) though made some significant changes here and there so that it would fit in with Tolkien's universe. It's a cross between the books and the movies, since I haven't actually read the books in a really long time. But I've always wanted to try my hand at a Lord of the Rings fanfic, so here we are. WICKED LOVELY - Embracing the Dark (Complete) Maeve Byrne has always known she wasn't completely human. But it's a secret she's held her entire life - not even telling her cousin Aislinn. Now, years after leaving and thinking she had put it behind her, she's returned to Huntsdale to face her past and possibly find out once and for all who her father is. So this one is complete - I've had it up on AO3 for a while - but I'm just now getting around to posting it here. I had to edit some parts so that it fits with the ratings over here, but I like how it turned out. As per usual, I started this, thought I didn't like it so started a second version, but then unlike me, I went back to the original, liking it much better than where I was going with the other one. Final Fantasy: Advent Children Stories So, this was probably the fastest I've ever written a story and the first story I've completed in a really long time. It's short, but sweet and I hope you enjoy it! The Dead Waltz (Complete) Set a few years after Advent Children. A terrible accident nine months ago left Elena walking through life as a shell. One person longs to break her free from the dead waltz she had stumbled into, but is there any way to truly bring her out of her self-induced numbness? This one is a little darker than my previous Elena-fic, but I think if you enjoyed that one, you'll enjoy this one as well. I wanted to play with a different aspect of Elena's character and try to bring out some more of her vulnerability. The Feud- (Permanent Hiatus - lost the story line) What started as an innocent night out to the club turns ugly as two Turks enter a feud that turns the whole office upside down. The prize? Elena, of course. Whatever possessed me to write another Elena fic? I don't know, but where the muses lead, I must follow. This one was my attempt at making a humorous Elena story. After the last two, I felt the poor girl deserved some fun. So, this one is a comedy with some slight romance, but who she will end up with, well, even I don't know that one... and probably never will... The Wood Series (Harry Potter) - In Chronological Order Definitely veers off canon, but in my defense, I started it before the sixth book had come out. After a super long hiatus, I went back and finally decided to finish it, but by that time the series – both the books and movies - had been finished. I couldn't see a way around it so some of it sticks to the books, while some of it goes off in other directions. Either way, it was definitely a ride. Book 2: A Life Worth Living (Complete) The war is over and the good have won. But in its wake, there is a trail of destruction. Even Iris isn't sure what to do with her newfound freedom. She had hoped to pick up where she and Oliver had left off, but in their year apart he faced darkness, despair and guilt. Iris hopes she can help pick up the pieces, but learns it’s hard to save someone who doesn’t want to be saved. I'll admit, I mostly wrote this for my own enjoyment. I wanted to know what happened next. There's a bit of angst and darkness – as to be expected when dealing with surviving a war - but also some fluff and a cheesy, happy ending. And there is more George and Percy, which I was incredibly happy to write. I’m totally a Weasley fan girl. Deleted Chapter: Opening Day (Complete) It's the first day of the re-opening of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and Iris and George hope that everything is perfect. A deleted chapter from "A Life Worth Living." A random chapter that I ended up taking out of "A Life Worth Living" that I posted because I thought it was too good to stay hidden in my random files. There was originally meant to be more to it - I was going to complete the whole party scene - but at that point thought there were too many party scenes and that would get boring. Oneshot: We're Pregnant (Complete) Iris Evans-Wood finds out unexpectedly that she's pregnant and must now tell her husband, Oliver Wood. They both end up with a bit more of a surprise than expected... Total and complete fluff that randomly came to me while working on The Mysterious Mr. Nilsson and demanded to be written. So I decided to post it. Oneshot: Oct. 31 (Complete) Iris Evans-Wood and her nephew Harry Potter take a moment to share their grief. Even though decades have passed since they lost Lily and James, some wounds never fully heal. Another one of those that randomly came to me and insisted on being written. I blame it on the fact that November is a hard month for me personally - I lost three pretty amazing people in November, just a few years apart from each other - so this was kind of a way to show that grief is, unfortunately, an unending process. Book 3: Surviving Hogwarts (Complete) All of Oliver Wood’s children are quidditch-obsessed. That is a fact. In their final year at Hogwarts, Jamie, Alan and Remus know it’s time to focus, win the Quidditch Cup, and impress the scouts so they can get signed by summer. However, younger sister Daisy is out to make a name for herself and prove once and for all to her overprotective father and brothers that she is capable of living her own life. So, this is obviously a next generation fic that continues the story of everyone’s favorite quidditch fanatic – Oliver Wood – through his children. While not a direct sequel to Saving Iris and A Life Worth Living, it does pick up several years later from where those storylines left off and includes quite a bit of those characters. There are shenanigans and pranks, a touch of romance, and a whole lot of the Weasley-Potter clan. Oneshot: The Seventh Year Crush (Complete) Daisy Wood has a lot to focus on. It's the summer before seventh year and she's got training every day in preparation for the quidditch season at Hogwarts and the scouts. The absolute last thing she needs is a crush... Pure fluff that came to me one night, so I wrote it. A bit more of a peek into that crush that Daisy had on Wills when she was 17. There is a chance that this will become a collection of oneshots from Daisy's seventh year as I've somehow gotten the hankering to write Hogwarts stuff, for some reason... nostalgia, maybe? Book 4: Life & Times of a Flaming Pixie (Complete) Fresh out of Hogwarts and signed to the Arrows reserve team, Daisy Wood is finally on her own and ready to conquer the world. Well... sort of. She still lives with her meddling older brothers, who are all rising quidditch stars. Her dad is backseat coaching, much to the annoyance of the new Arrows coach - a young man with a mysterious past from Sweden. And don't even get her started on dating... I enjoyed writing this one, even though it required a lot of research and planning. And is really pushed my limits in terms of writing quidditch scenes (God Almighty, they kill me... why did I choose to make the main characters all quidditch players??). I've got an entire Google Drive folder full of reference photos, team rosters, family trees, quidditch schedules and so on just for this one... But I loved writing it and fleshing out Daisy more. Side Story 1: The Mysterious Mr. Nilsson (Complete) Lucas Nilsson had thought his life was over when he lost his sister and then his professional quidditch career all within a few months. But then a fateful trip to Hogwarts in 2019 changed everything. Now that he's fulfilled his goal of getting his own team and coaching Daisy Wood, he realizes he wasn't prepared for how getting close to the famous Pixie would change him further. This is basically my answer to all the Nilsson fans who wanted more. Also, I'm half in love with him as well and thought he could use his own story to explain more of his background and what's going on in his head during Life & Times. It goes in and out of flashbacks that aren't in chronological order. But it sheds a bit of light on everyone's favorite new quidditch coach. Book 5: Playing with Fire - (Complete) Jamie Wood has never been good with women, not like his identical brothers Alan and Remus. So when he finds himself starting to fall for Lila Devereux - Marcus Flint's daughter and the woman who tried to ruin his sister's quidditch career - something tells him to throw caution to wind and give her a chance. This is Book Five in my series based on next generation characters from the Harry Potter world - namely the four I created. This one picks up a few months after where Life & Times leaves off and is full of romance, drama and Wood sibling shenanigans. Because seriously, when will the Wood children ever be truly serious? Side Story 2: Where There's a Wills, There's a Way (Complete) Bryan Wills has always been a ladies' man. It's a title he always wore with pride. But despite his jokes and confident exterior, the Puddlemere captain has always had a soft spot for his coach's daughter, Daisy Wood. So, this started out initially as just a funny, fluff piece. And then it morphed into being pretty darn critical to the overall storyline of the entire series. At least, it gave me the inspiration for the rest of the series which resulted in me completely abandoning the original plan I had and starting from scratch with the stories to follow. Anywho, there is still fluff and laughs - it is Wills, after all - but it ended up a bit more serious than I had intended it to be. Book 6: Through the Veil of Secrets - (Complete) What Dominique Weasley originally thought was overblown family drama, has turned into a serious risk. Now she is set with the task of looking into her aunt Iris Evan-Woods' murky past in order to find out why her cousins Daisy and Jamie are now developing more of her abilities. The greatest fear is knowing that something is coming, but not what or when. Set shortly after Playing with Fire ends, this one takes place concurrently with Where There's a Will, There's a Way. It mostly revolves around Dominique, though Iris, Daisy and Jamie also play a large role. Dominique is determined to save her family from another war; Daisy and Jamie are struggling to control their new gifts while fearing what could happen if they don't; and Iris must not only face her past but now share things with her family that she had kept hidden and tried to forget for years. All while fearing for her children. Oneshot: The Turmoil of Remus Wood - (Complete) Remus Wood has always felt overlooked thanks to his brother and sister's gifts. And now it's all hit a head with the two of them developing even more. Bad enough that Jamie is the next Oliver Wood and Daisy is the next Viktor Krum. When will anyone care about the other two Woods? This takes place during Through the Veil of Secrets, when Remus was being a butthead. I had reasons for it, but felt that I never really got down into it enough. So after a comment on it recently, I got the inspiration to write this to better explain his actions. And it gave me a chance to do a Wood siblings' flashback - which I really, really want to write about more... Book 7: The Calm Before the Storm - (Complete) The Woods are learning more about their new gifts, but fear over the future is never far away. Even though Daisy finally has a connection, it's not with who she expected and she's not sure how she feels about it. This one was tricky as I had to really dive into fleshing out the lore behind the Prostatis as well as the big bad. So many nights agonizing over all that. But I'm happy with the result. Oneshot: The Talk - (Complete) It's no secret that Oliver Wood is unhappy that his star chaser Bryan Wills is now dating his only daughter, Daisy. At least the rest of the family is on board with the relationship, meaning her mother and three older brothers Remus, Alan and Jamie. Or are they? What happens when the Wood triplets decide to have 'the talk' with their sister's new boyfriend... Takes place during The Calm Before the Storm. This was a suggestion from a reader, but honestly, probably was the best suggestion I've gotten because I had sooooo much fun writing it. And I seriously want to include so many more fun pranks on poor Wills. Oneshot: Decompressing - (Complete) How does one deal with dying and coming back? In the aftermath of Alan's death and Daisy stepping though the veil after him, the Woods take time to decompress and come to terms with what happened. After a suggestion from a reader, I decided to expound a bit more about what happened with the Woods after everyone found out Daisy's gift. Obviously a lot going on there to unpack. Too much for one oneshot, but at least it kind of shows how they went from that to joking around and such in the last chapter. Book 8: After the Veil - (Complete) The wizarding world now knows of the Network, the Prostatis and the Woods' gifts. Add in Lucy's upcoming wedding, the arrival of aurors from MACUSA, plus the fact that Daisy is having nightmares about the veil and her gifts, and life for the Woods, Weasleys and Potters is, in short, chaos. How do you prevent a war and continue on with regular life? Here we are, the final book. I had all sorts of feelings about this one, since it's the last. But definitely a lot going on. Daisy needs to figure out her gift but she's afraid to go back to the veil. However, being Daisy, she doesn't want anyone to know she's afraid. Not to mention, Teddy and the team are up to their eyeballs in drama with the MACUSA team assigned to help with the investigation. And no one knows where Magnus is nor what he and the Network could be planning next. So, it's a ride... Side Story 3: Father of the Bride (Complete) Oliver Wood's worst nightmare has come true. His only daughter Daisy is getting married. To his star chaser. He knew this day was coming, but had hoped it'd be farther out. Now he must deal with wedding planners, dress hunting, irate pixies and worst of all - Bryan Wills as a son-in-law. I started this a long before I had even finished The Calm Before the Storm and was soo happy when I could start posting it. It's been a hoot, to be sure. And yes, it is heavily based on the movie "Father of the Bride." Serious, Oliver Wood IS George Banks... At least my interpretation of Oliver Wood is... Side Story 4: Father of the Bride - Part 2 (Complete) Life is never quiet for the Woods. So of course when the Wood children start having their own, it would end up being pure chaos… with more than one surprise for everyone. Ya'll didn't actually think I was done with the Woods, did you? I had been toying around with this idea for awhile after a long-time reader suggested it. Finally I started getting an idea for the story and started writing. Though went through a couple versions before settling on this one. And helped that I started re-reading the previous stories and it got me in the mood to revisit everyone's (or at least mine) favorite Woods. But pretty sure this is the last story I'll write in this universe. Gotta stop at some point, you know? Constellation Series (Harry Potter) In my defense, I started this before Saving Iris. Granted, I later tossed the original version because it was during my "haven't found a good style or how to write properly" days. Then didn't touch it for a very long time. But kept coming back to it. Had it finished and then didn't like that version so tossed it as well and started over a third time. Then after I got that mostly finished, I changed a major plot point and had to re-write most of it. You'd think at that point I would just give up and put it in the "not meant to be" file, but just couldn't give it up. Aries (Complete) It's been nearly two years since the attack at the Quidditch World Cup and life has miraculously settled into normalcy for Sam Abbott and her boyfriend Oliver Wood. But with the wizarding world on the brink of war, dark times have arrived that will make them question themselves and the strength of their relationship. I swear I have a problem with sequels... But got the idea for this as I was finishing up Gemini and decided to go with it. Plus, I've always been interested in stories that show what was going on for everyone else outside of Harry Potter during the war. This one starts almost two years after the end of the Gemini and will take us all the way through to the end of the war at the Battle of Hogwarts. So, it's pretty much the longest story I've ever written for this site just because it covers SO much time. The MacKenzie Series (Harry Potter) So... Came across a lot of the original drafts that I had for the Sam/Oliver stories, and realized that they were pretty good and wanted to find a way to post them without just putting up random, unfinished work. Came up with the idea for this story, which includes a lot of the situations and some of the original plot from those drafts, but with a (very) different protagonist. And, I have to admit, even though I created both, I actually really like Emmie a lot better than the Sam I ended up posting (original Sam was very different from even that and I wish I had stuck with her...). The Education of Oliver Wood (Complete) Being in a war changes you. It changes everyone. Everything. And sometimes, two people have to fall apart before they realize how they can fall back together. Wasn't going to write this, even though some readers wanted a sequel. Then I got an idea and I wrote this. It's darker and angstier. Even I don't like who some of the characters have become in the beginning. But stick with it. They'll get there. The Sirius Black Series (Harry Potter) Got the idea for this while taking a nap one day and wrote down the two scenes that came to me, then started fleshing it out. I've wanted to write something about a Marauder but never got the inspiration. Rather happy with it, to be honest. Becoming Ellie Black (Complete) Ellie Selwyn has always seen her mother as her personal hero (more than Harry Potter). But when she returns home after her third year, she finds that while they are finally free of the domineering Evan Selwyn, it has come with a price. Part of which is coming to terms with the fact that she is the daughter of Sirius Black. I knew before finishing Of Thistle & Black that I was going to write a sequel from Ellie's perspective. And then quickly realized that I would need a third part to resolve everything. And here we are. Survival (Complete) Dark times have come to the wizarding world. Dumbledore is dead. Harry has run off. Ellie Black worries for her mother and her involvement in the Order of the Phoenix, especially when there is a mass breakout at Azkaban, but finds she should be more worried about her own survival at Hogwarts. The final part to this series. Goes back and forth between Ellie and Aurora. Gets a bit dark. Random Harry Potter This has absolutely nothing to do with the Wood Series and doesn't even take place in the same world/timeline. I started it on a whim several months ago, thinking I'd never post it. And then I got a bit tipsy one night and thought to myself, "Hey, this is a decent story. I like reading it. Maybe other folks would too! Let's post!" I don't know why I do these things... But yea, it's just pure and complete fluff. But there are some cameos from everyone's faves. It's kind of like, if there was a Harry Potter rom-com for adults... The Spin (Complete) The war is over, but even finally playing first string on Puddlemere United can’t seem to completely break Oliver Wood out of his funk. Enter a new coach and PR team from the US dead set on revitalizing the team’s image. And then some... Wrote this forever ago and then decided to just post it all in one big go (or two) after a few drinks one night. Just so I could get the Oliver Wood thing out of my system once and for all. Once I'm done with The Education of Oliver Wood no more. (Famous last words...??) Love By Another Name (Complete) All Finn Marsh wanted was a decent roommate who wouldn't steal her shit and paid rent on time. And to finally move on from her former fiance. Katie Bell wanted to get away from the prying of the wizarding media and get over her high profile break-up. And then something beautiful happened. Soulmates don't always have to be romantic. Did this on a whim. Really just wanted a good, strong women-centered, friendship story. And to be honest, this was originally meant to be a Marcus Flint/OC or Oliver Wood/OC competition story called "This Means War", but completely changed when I started writing it. So glad that I did. This Means War (Complete) All their lives, Oliver Wood and Marcus Flint have been rivals. From quidditch to making top marks in class, to being considered the most eligible bachelor in the Quidditch League. But now that they are both playing for Puddlemere United, they’ve finally managed to let bygones be bygones. That is… until Katie Bell’s cousin enters the picture… Yep... I said I wouldn't do anymore Oliver Wood stories and this gem came to me. In my defense, this was originally supposed to be the plot for Love By Another Name. It was begging to be written, in my opinion... And hell, I wrote it and even I had a hard time choosing a side... Like Fire to Kindle (Complete) Ophelia Wood is grateful for her business trip to the Romanian Dragon Sanctuary. Not only is it a month away from her annoying brothers, but it's a chance to finally fulfill her dream of working with dragons. Enter Charlie Weasley. What happens when you combine a Wood and a Weasley? They take like fire to kindle. Really wanted to write a Charlie Weasley fic for such a long time, but it took forever for a story to come to mind. And then this one did and it came to me fast. Technically not an Oliver Wood story, but it does feature him a lot since he's Ophelia's twin brother. It's a fluffy rom-com for all you romantics out there. King Arthur So, started this on a whim. It starts up just after Vortigern's defeat and goes just passed the coronation. I left the ending a bit open in case I wanted to revisit the idea of sequel. I've actually started on one, but only got two chapters written before losing interest. We'll see where that goes... The Grand Escape (Complete) Lessa is determined to leave Hadrian's Wall with her knight. So much so that she'll do whatever possible. She always thought herself a clever woman and now she must be very, very clever. I had actually been wanting to write a fic based off the 2004 movie for a long time - been a fan since it came out (seriously, do not ask how many times my best friend and I watched this movie back then...). Especially about Galahad. Seriously, there needs to be more Galahad fics. Love Arthur and Tristan, but really? Galahad. Do it people, so I can read them and fawn over Galahad. The Merlin Series (Based off the BBC Series) So this is from the TV show Merlin. Always been a fan and started this up after binging it for the 20th time. It starts out during season 2 and then jumps to just after Arthur banishes Gwen. Had a couple different versions of the story before settling on this one. And yes, I realize in hindsight that I might have gotten the timeline off in some places, but in my defense, the TV jumps through time without abandon and doesn't always clearly mention it. The Return of Arthur (Complete) Over a thousand years have passed since the dragon foretold of the return of Arthur. And for all that time, Merlin has been waiting. But what happens when the Once and Future King returns... in the 21st century? I need to stop with the sequels already... seriously... But... I couldn't get the idea of Arthur in the 21st century out of my head. So this basically demanded to be written. Course, I knew about halfway through The Secret Kingdom I was going to do a sequel... Eh... blame in on my inability to not write sequels/series... Twilight Reporter Series So after watching Twilight one day just for kicks, I got an idea. Being who I am, I started writing, not thinking it would really go anywhere. I just needed to get it out of my head. And then it turned into a monster and before I knew it, I had a good chunk of story written. Decided to post it, because why not? Thought it would be cool to explore what happened after the events of Breaking Dawn. And maybe introduce a character that's a bit more rough around the edges. This takes place about five years after the end of Breaking Dawn What Happened in the Forest (Complete) When Mara Winslow is sent by The Seattle Times to cover a spat of mysterious deaths in Forks, she finds a lot more than just a newspaper story as her life is completely turned upside down in a matter of days. A kinda-sorta sequel to "The Turning of Cecily Stewart". It is set around different characters, but happens in the same universe, so Cecily makes an appearance. It mostly focused on the wolves and takes place about eight years after the end of Breaking Dawn - three years after The Turning of Cecily Stewart. And I've realized that I now have a thing with making my protagonists journalists... I'm not sorry... write what you know, yea? Plus, I used to dream about being an investigative journalist, though found out that I'm just not cut out for it. It's cool - I'm much happier writing entertainment stories. Destined (Complete) Mara and Embry are trying to settle into living together when their new neighbors bring about all sorts of unexpected changes. Changes that bring some of the wolves and Cullens back to their doorstep. What’s more, it seems that their life is about to collide with Cecily and Demetri’s. I never thought I would really go back to this series, but here we are. This story came to me on a whim and next thing I know, I had the entire thing plotted out and wrote the first two chapters. This converges the two couples - Mara and Embry as well as Cecily and Demetri. I never say never, but at the moment, I'm thinking this will be the final story in the series. Or maybe not. I mean... definitely left the door open, but we'll see... |
