Author has written 18 stories for Fairy Tail, Star Wars, Mass Effect, Walking Dead, Harry Potter, and Power Rangers. I like to call my style of writing 'Literary Masochism'. Mostly because it hurts my brain to write in this way and it takes me so long nowadays to post anything. Welcome to the profile page of Viperhat. I am the self described asshole of FT and CIS White Male Scum of the Earth, oppressing the masses with my existence and triggering them with my darker, more personal style of writing... Or so i'd like to believe, in reality, i am some loser who has little to no social life, who sits in his room for the better part of a week, watching youtube (in some cases doing youtube,) complaining about the idiocy i see online and in real life and playing free-to-play games since i have little to no income... not for the want of trying, of course. This is all wrapped up in a nice little skin of writing for fanfiction.net whenever the energy hits me. So let me go over my personal check mark for this introduction: 1- Egotistical 2- Delusional 3- Offensive 4- Apathetic and 5- Unbelievably sexy Yup, i think i've crossed all of those off. Right well, feel free to peruse the shit i have up. if anything tickles your fancy, well i am sure you can figure out what to do. I shall leave this here... I kind of, sort of maybe despise the very concept of Juvia Lockser in both an objective way and in my own personal code sort of way... In other words, I highly dislike her. If i were to use 3 words to describe her 'character' I would not be able to use all three slots as there is that little to her it actually becomes more depressing the more you think about it. But i can think of one word for her, that is: Bad. She is objectively bad as a character, so bad that calling her a character is more out of me trying to accurately relate all of the awful things she is to you. I am certainly not going to call her Juvia all the damn time in third person. Speaking of which, let's talk about that. Juvia's third person speaking is often regarded as either: Funny, Cute or memorable. Now it certainly isn't funny, honestly even those who say that humour is subjective must understand that there all still levels of which no one should or will stoop to. Cute, well, nothing about Juvia is cute so that falls apart right away and memorable... Okay, i'll give you that one, mostly because it is the only fucking thing she has that even resembles something of a distinct trait that she can call her own. Even then it doesn't really get explained or given any form of meaningful weight. For example: Gray has his stripping habit, okay. He caught the habit after training with Ur for almost a year, during which he (humorously) began to do it unconsciously. See? Gray's distinct habit is due to his training and a deep down desire to have something that keeps him close to his master. It holds more than just comic relief. Juvia literally only has it for the sake of having it, so it can't be funny or cute since it has nothing besides being unique in the way that it only shows up on her (as one of the bgger side-characters.) Point: 2. Her progression as a character can be summed up rather simply: Regressive. When she first steps into the field, you see someone with a melancholic yet deadly feel to them. She gives off the aura of warning but of sorrow to. Given her lonely past it makes that aspect understandable, having someone means a lot more than many think, it goes beyond just being lonely. It is a psychological nail that can destroy someone if it happens to them. So it seems from the get-go that Juvia may have an interesting past and therefore, good framework. But where does all of this go in the end? It seems that it all just disappears after a while, when she meets Gray it begins to seep away for a little bit, okay, cool. I can get behind that, a creepy crush sort of thing makes an interesting dynamic for a fight and it does work for the fight. But then the crush/obsession becomes the new overwhelming factor, taking away the mysterious yet sad feel she gave off before so the fans can focus on the freak-shipping aspect. It is there where Juvia truly lost any immediate hope for her character... Then the arcs go on and on and all she really does in that time is stalk Gray, invade his property, bully his friends and socially disengage him... Out of 'love'. Yes, she proves herself willing to die for him, but never for anyone else. Insanely (and unjustly) selfish and mentally bottle-necked behaviour and personality. But hey, she has sexy legs, let's ship her with Gray. Because why put effort into a good pairing when you can easily give him a hap-hazard bout of Stockholm-Syndrome? Finally, her combat competency... Or lack thereof. In my old version of this i stated that Juvia had only fought 3 enemies and at the time i was correct in that assessment. But now she has also fought Invel so i should take the opportunity to lay out what my 16/17 year old brain couldn't at the time. Vidaldus: She was utterly useless and didn't contribute once to the fight. In fact, she made Lucy's job even harder than it needed to be. I am of the opinion that even at her best, Lucy would thrash Juvia with mild problems, Lucy just has everything that Juvia doesn't, like a brain, keen intellect, strength and conviction (among other things.) Hell, i admit, i actually found her thrall form and personality much more interesting, even holding great potential. But nope, she lost to Lucy and Vidaldus in one fell swoop and her good form was quickly forgotten about. Meredy: The only thing that saved her ass in this excursion was the fact that she pulled out the old FT Friendship and Love trump card. Other than that, Meredy could have wiped the floor with her. Hell, at this point Meredy could have taken out Gray as well as Juvia (albeit at her death) and Juvia is by far one of the weakest characters in the series, she stood no proper chance in the end. Keith: Just watch/read the fight scene between them. Now, i understand that Keith's advantage was high magical reserves and an magic that kept him safe attack. But replace Juvia with anyone, Gray, Lucy, Cana, Elfman and they would have done a better job. Then there is the problem with her 'Controlling one's body fluids', if she could do that all this time then how come she didn't just force Keith into submission or outright kill right away? The inconsistency is utterly baffling here and i really wish we got an explanation, then at least i could say that she has one strong attack. But overall, disappointing repetitive and inconsistent. Invel: Gray was beginning to actually push Invel back a little bit. Then of course Juvia comes in and interferes, not only causing Gray's chances to dwindle (because now he has to protect her as well as fight the Winter General), but she actively fucks Gray over by giving Invel a chance to use his magical control collar. She did nothing but cause trouble for Gray then and somehow she was still praised... Basically, the last thing you can reasonably call Juvia is 'strong'. So overall, Juvia Lockser is a boring, toxic, inconsistent, repetitive, annoying, creepy, obsessive, vitriolic, bullying, petty and extremely insane lowkey Yandere who only causes trouble and contributes in no way and even in some cases, takes away from the shows overall quality. Okay, i feel much better now. Moving on! Fairy Tail Stories: Future/Currently writing and/or in progress Fairy Tail was introduced to me through my cousin in the later part of 2014, at first he had showed me 'Is This A Zombie' and i wasn't very trusting of his taste in anime after that. But in the end i crumbled and let him show me the show. At first i was wary because the first person he told me about was Gray Fullbuster and his stripping habit. Now he is my favourite character and Fairy Tail inspired me to get into Character depth and creation. As such, it holds a special place with me and i will always be grateful for the shows existence, despite its many flaws. "The Elite Four" Characters: Team Natsu Summary: 'What if Team Natsu were the most powerful and skilled mages in Fiore? Natsu Dragneel: The Fire Dragon Slayer and known Demon: END. Gray Fullbuster: Ice Devil Slayer and Master Ice-Maker Mage. Lucy Heartfiillia: Master Celestial Spirit Mage, and Erza Scarlet: Re-quip (Knight) Mage and Leader of the team. Together these four Aces take on the worlds danger with finesse.' "Memories better forgotten" Characters: Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, Jellal Fernandes Summary: 'Deliora was only a small fraction of Gray's less than pleasant past. But walking into the guild and suddenly taking part in a weird and frustrating adventure constructed by a group of Fairy Tail girls who were trying to 'perv him up' (as Vali put it) was definitely one of the most confusing experiences in his life. but just because it was pervy and weird didn't mean he was complaining... Not. At. All.' "Shatter-Point" Characters: Gray Fullbuster, Erza scarlet, Makarov Dreyer, Mirajane Strauss Summary: 'When a slip up during a mission with Team Natsu ends with Gray's sight being permanently taken away from him. Erza finds herself struggling to help her Best-Friend put his life back together whilst trying to not break down in guilty sorrow in the process." (Not a Grayza story i should point out.) "One Punch Fullbuster" Characters: Gray Fullbuster, Zeref Dragneel, Achnologia, Ultear Milkovich Summary: 'It was his life dream to be the most powerful mage that Fiore had ever seen. So why did it feel so... dull. Lifeless. Boring.' "Re-forging" Characters: Gray Fullbuster, Cana Alberona Summary: 'It had been years since Cana had even thought of him in such a way. She remembered when they were so close and comfortable with each other. They were still now, but it was different, more platonic and friendly... And she wanted her old Gray back, the one she broke it with, the one who loved her, the one who WAS her boyfriend and lover. All she hoped was that it wasn't too late to re-try now...' "Enough" Characters: Gray Fullbuster, Hades, Zeref Dragneel, Ultear Milkovich Summary: 'The Dragnoid incident didn't go well at all. Gray knew it was his fault, he had all but killed his best friend in the world. They were right to hate him, to shun him, to banish him and to wish his most utterly painful death... But why did he start hating them back?' "Hidden Talent" Characters: Gray Fullbuster Summary: 'You know, it got really annoying for Gray sometimes. People treat him like he is just a taller version of Natsu, compare him to Erza and mock him around Laxus. Maybe he could turn this bet Cana and Levy made for him into something to prove to them assholes that he is Gray Fullbuster, ice Mage of Fairy Tail, and master Pianist/Singer and star!' "Malfunction" Characters: Gray Fullbuster, Mirajane Strauss, Porlyuscia, Natsu Dragneel Summary: 'His time was slowly running out and he knew it all to well... For years he had been in a secret war with his condition, and somehow, he had been able to hide it from his guild for so long, they didn't need to know. "Sweet Sweet Melancholy" Characters: Gray Fullbuster Summary: 'He wasn't depressed, although it certainly felt like it. What he had was more of a jumbled mess of thoughts, assumptions and loads of repressed feelings he just didn't understand. He said things without conviction, admitted things he knew to be untrue. He scared himself with how he could logically compile it and present it to himself as fact. But it wasn't fatal, nor would it ever be.' "Battle of the Elements" Characters: Gray Fullbuster, Vali Conway, Natsu Dragneel Summary: 'Pride in oneself was always encouraged and often appreciated... Pride in one's element (if they had one) was less encouraged, but still desirable. But when people argue over who's element dominates the others, you get war...' "Remember Everything" Characters: Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet Summary: 'If i could hold back the rain, would you numb the pain? 'Cause i remember everything.' Odd bits and bobs: "Erza's Cooking Disasters" Characters: Erza Scarlet Summary: 'Erza Scarlet is the strongest Mage they had ever met. A skilled swords-woman, a keen strategist and a powerhouse on the battlefield... It's just a shame she can't channel that competence into the kitchen. (Inspired by Mnemosyne's Elegy and her portrayal of Erza's cullinery talents).' Walking Dead (Games): Future/ Currently writing and/or in progress Have you ever had that once in a life time game series that drags you into the world, makes you understand and fall in love with characters and immerses you in its world? Well, for me the was Walking Dead. I originally watched Hannah of the Yogscast play it and i had only found it when when episode 2 of the first season was released. I watched the rest after watching one video and instantly loved Lee and Clementine. I have never been one to cry at things, but this series happens to make me come close or over the threshold every time. I have watched Clementine grow and struggle and i have not once felt bored or disinterested in her progression. This series inspired my 'Over-arching story' writing style and i have a few ideas for the series, some old and re-hashed, some new and interesting... to me at least... Current Stories (main stories): "Don't leave me" Characters: Clementine, OC Summary: 'He was her best friend, his only friend. And he didn't want to leave her, luckily it seemed like she didn't want him leaving either. But the world had ways of hurting its inhabitants in ways one couldn't ever imagine. From Season 1 to Season 4.' "The Louis Hijinks" Characters: AJ, Clementine, Louis, Marlon Summary: 'He was handsome. He was talented. He was perfect. No matter what others thought. He would prove them wrong, Louis style.' Confirmed One-Shots: "OwO What's This?" Characters: Clementine, Louis Summary: 'Louis discovers the Furry community.' Mass Effect: Future/ Currently writing and/or in progress "Shepard." "Wrex." Need i say more? Honestly, this is my favourite Sci-Fi universe in the whole damn galaxy. Playing as your own Shepard and traipsing the Milky way to save it from utter annihilation not once, or twice, but three separate times. Meeting amazing characters (and alien bae(s) ) along the way, Mass Effect deals with very deep and equally interesting themes such as trans-humanism and Organic Vs. Synthetic thinking and reasoning and it was displayed rather well in the ending to Mass effect 3. I know many people hate the ending, but i don't think it was that bad, not great - for sure - but not bad. I just think the symbolism and themes (underlying and obvious) were laid on too thinly. But overall: The games have a rich and well built world and very complex and challenging issues and themes that are coupled with fantastic gameplay. Plus, Tali'Bae exists. I love her. My waifu, not your's. Fuck off. Confirmed Stories (main stories): "Don't Go..." Characters: Garrus Vakarian, Shepard (F), Shepard (M), Tali'Zorah Summary: 'John Shepard only had a few things he gave a damn about. His sister: Captain Jane Shepard. His best friend: Garrus Vakarian. And whatever Tali was to him... But now, all could do was watch as they all left him, one by one.' (Covers Mass effect 2 and 3) Confirmed One-Shots: "Why are you?" Characters: Shepard (M), Tali'Zorah Summary: 'He knew, but it was warped. He fought, but it felt fake. He felt, but did he truly feel? That was what petrified him to the core: He didn't know. For now, he was more machine than man. Like a Geth but alive... Maybe...' One Punch Man: Future/ Currently writing and/ or in progress Season 2 may not be that great, but to be fair it doesn't really do much to tarnish the reputation of the first. That and i am a bit of a sucker for the subversion. Honestly, this is something that i picked back up after i briefly cruised through the webcomic again after bloody years of forgetting that this even existed. But yeah, I love Saitama and his oddly complex simplicity, he is a walking oxymoron in that sense (one of which i hope to do justice), i love Genos and his undying devotion to who is a simpleton with no hair. I also love Tatsumaki's adorable tsundere attitude, though that does also annoy me just a little. Plus, who could hate that animation in the first season...? Confirmed Stories (main stories): "One Punch Man: A World of Grey" Characters: Saitama, Tatsumaki, Genos, Fubuki Summary: 'Saitama decimated Vaccine-Man, saving a certain S-Class hero in the process. However, when that same S-Class appears at his door mere days later, demanding him to allow her to repay him for the deed, he finds his life tumbling into chaos... But at least he can say that his life isn't boring anymore.' Okay so i will list off some material i plan to make stories on. 1: Fairy Tail (obviously) 2: Walking Dead Possible stories may come in form of: 1: Spiderman 2: Sonic The Hedgehog 3: Mass Effect 4: HOTD Yes i know HOTD has fanservice. Well spotted but it had no right being as good in terms of quality as it was. I'd more likely stick to dark, non-sexual stories if i chose to make one. Finally, do not forget to check my current huge project: Fairy Tail: Trails of Ice. (or ToI) It revolves around Gray Fullbuster from the start to the end of the anime/manga. but he starts with his Devil Slaying magic right away. Yes he will be fucking powerful, that is the point, it won't be Natsu for once. And as a final word... Bunglecunt -Viperhat Endorsement: My good friend and fellow writer 'YeOldeQuill' resides here on fanfiction and if you like Harry Potter and are willing to give Slow-burn OC's a whirl, then please do give her profile a look. Both YeOldeQuill and myself will be grateful for the time taken by you all. Also she has permission to use any OC I create: Be it 'Vali Conway' or 'Mohawk and Jump Suit'. |
