Really, standing O. I love how in depth this whole story is, the constant back and forth with Sonic's past; how one half of his friends are witnessing and the other half are hearing it straight from him as both timelines are eventually going to meet up is really fun to read.
And as much as I love our boy Sonic, I gotta say, I also loooove this whole traumatic backstory. The way you have taken the time to really focus on what all his friends point of views are on this dramatic change/traumatic past - the inner dialogue of them realizing their fun loving, cocky and care free friend has been shouldering this for so long with none of them knowing is so refreshing to me. Such a great take on Dark Sonic!
Honestly, I'm so happy I stumbled upon this gem and can't wait for the next chapter! Great work, you have a great talent!

Holy shit, this has to be the best chapter so far. The Sonic vs Shadow fight was beyond emotional and epic. The other characters personalities are spot one as well, especially Rouge during her moment with Sonic. I've been keeping up with this story since 2016 and while it sucks having to wait so long for a new chapter, ultimately its worth it. Keep it up!

When I got the notification that this chapter was out, that was the most excited I've been in weeks! Thanks for making such a long one too; it was great to catch up with both parts of the modern group. The scene with Rouge and Sonic making flower crowns is now one of my favourite ;')
How Shadow is now understanding how similar their pasts are and how Sonic somewhat envies his situation is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Also is the fact that Sonic's ostracism and abduction ended with him becoming the hero and role model of his unwelcoming home...
And though things are getting darker, this chapter made me feel hopeful that things may actually turn out okay :)
