Author has written 14 stories for Harry Potter, Pokémon, Steven Universe, Portal, Pikmin, My Hero Academia/僕のヒーローアカデミア, and My Little Pony. Hey! I’m still here! (sorta.) If you’ve read my works, you might have noticed that I haven’t updated in a while. Don’t worry, I’m doing fine and I still plan to continue updating... and here's the word... eventually. The next few years will be a huge turning point in my life. I finish my Games Design degree later this year, and after that I’m going straight into indie games as a one-enby team. Until I get enough games out there to generate a stable income, any time I have to work on something is time I’ll be dedicating towards planning, designing, programming, writing, animating, music-ing, promoting and etcetera-ing my games. Not to mention the business side of things, with trademarks, domains and a variety of other words that I recognise but only vaguely understand. There’s just not enough time to devote to much else if I also want to see natural light within the next decade. I always told myself that I wouldn't be the kind of person to disappoint people with this sort of message, and writing it now almost feels like I broke a promise. But keeping up with multiple fanfics (none of which I've officially cancelled despite several years of inactivity on some of them), on top of a budding indie games career, just isn't possible for one person to do. So I've decided to prune the weakest branch on my Tree of To-do. It sucks, I know, but branches grow back. Eventually I'll find the time to write again, and I have a bunch of ideas all noted down for when that happens. So I'll see you then. -Flitty. EDIT: Hey, remember that comment about natural light? Well it looks like the decision’s been made for me! With quarantine, it’s even more uncertain than usual when I’ll get inspired (and what I’ll get inspired to do, for that matter), but when that happens you can look forward to maybe a chapter here and there. Still, this isn’t a promise, it’s just a possibility. Thanks for reading :D |
