Author has written 11 stories for Harry Potter. Hi! Glad you stopped by. I'm Daisy Pennifold. I'm the inventor of the Slow-Falling Quaffle (mentioned in Quidditch Through the Ages), and I also write a bit in my spare time. The mystique surrounding Harry Potter, his merry band of miscreants, and their ancestors completely captivates me, and I make up many, many wretched situations for them to get into. A muggle named J.K. Rowling seems to have a monopoly on Harry, so I spin most of my tales around the other characters, in particular his parents. Check here to read my stories, my favorites, and to find out what's happening with my works in progress. NOTE: If I have an author on the author page, that means that they have SO many good stories that I didn't want to post them all on my favorites list. Come back soon! -Daisy 31 July 2011 - happy 31st birthday Harry Potter! :) Thanks to all of you who are still leaving me reviews and adding me to your favorites lists on an almost daily basis...it's flattering and I really appreciate all of you. 11 August 2011 - I finished The Pendragon Wager! Could you die? 21 August 2011 - So I was just thinking today. For all of those muggle kids who got their letters - how does the magical world keep them from telling their friends? There was nothing in Harry's first letter saying, "and don't tell your friends - this whole world is a secret." If I was 11 and I got MY letter, I would have told all my friends. And yeah, for the most part, no one would have believed me. But maybe someone would. Does the Ministry and Hogwarts staff really want to take that chance? Do all these kids from muggle families just up and drop their muggle friends? What do they tell them when they see them at the mall or the pool over the summer holidays? Plot hole? I think so. Just like the independent contractors on the Death Star. 22 August 2011 - Also - does it ever bother anyone that Hermione is the "brightest witch of her age" blah blah blah, but Bill and Percy each got 12 O.W.L.s and she only got 11? 26 August 2011 - And what about the fact that the Death Eaters have their mark on their left forearm? Don't they ever want to go swimming? Why don't they put them somewhere that is covered up more easily (bum cheek, arm pit, bottom of foot)? I mean, seriously, Peter never had his arms bare around his friends after getting the mark? I push up my sleeves constantly from habit. I would be captured by Aurors on like the second day. 10 September 2013 - Hi everyone! Still around, still love fanfiction.net and all of the wonderful readers but not really writing these days. I still love HP, but I've reached my saturation point for a while. Right now I'm reading Eureka fanfic almost exclusively - I need more! I've read like every Jo/Zane story out there. So go to Netflix, watch all five seasons, and write me some stuff! :) By the way, a little tip for all of you budding writers. If in your blurb you write, "I'm really bad at summaries (or worse, 'summeries') - just please read!" I won't. If you can't sum up what you're trying to say in a sentence or two, I'm not going to have any faith in your ability to write an entire story worth reading. Work on your summary - you can do it. It will improve all of your writing immensely, because you'll have to be able to reduce your story down to its essence, and you'll be able to see what fits and what doesn't, plotwise. Try it today! Thanks! |
