![]() Author has written 32 stories for Gone with the Wind, X-Men: Evolution, Harry Potter, StarTrek: Enterprise, Twilight, NCIS, Little Women, A Wrinkle in Time Trilogy, and Hunger Games. I see you have stumbled upon my profile for whatever reason (the back button is right up there if you've come here by mistake and need to make a hasty escape). My name isn't actually Poohdog, believe it or not. My name is Jessica. I'm a recent college graduated (Biology degree) who's been around fanfiction.net for, well a while. Further back than the date of my earliest currently posted story because I had some that I ended up deleting later on. Anyway, I mostly write Harry Potter but I've also written for a few other fandoms (as you can see by the nifty list above). I may also later write some Avengers, Big Bang Theory, and/or Game of Thrones. I take a while to post anymore (life has gotten steadily busy since I left for college and hasn't slacked now that I've graduated) but I may update a bit more quickly if someone mentions they want an update on something. As Emiliana Keladry can testify (see my favourites), I'm a bit scatter-brained but a mention can help me focus. As for reviews, I like them very much but if you read and don't review, that's fine. I do tend to like a review if you favorite but, meh. My favorite reviews are actually critiques. I'm not an aspiring writer but I do like to write and I like to get better at it so if you see something that would help make me better in writing style, characterization, grammar, spelling, voice, anything, please let me know. I do appreciate it and I won't get angry about it. It sometimes seems like people are so cautious around here about saying anything that could be construed as negative that nobody is too honest. I've decided to try, from here on out, to try to use the country specific spelling and phrasing from wherever the original work is from (with the exception of foreign languages as I only speak Spanish other than English and then only so-so. Add my lack of multi-lingual ability to the things I'd like to work on). Mostly this applies to Harry Potter. However, I probably won't get it all right. Please forgive me if I accidentally butcher anything and let me know. I am from the United States, and proud to be, but one of my goals in life is not to be an "American Idiot". I'm actually from the northern-middle part of the country, far from New York, California, Texas, and Florida so I actually have a very bland accent but have only ever said "ain't" and "ya'll" in jest (in case you were interested, though you're probably not, saying someone has an American accent is about equivalent to someone not being able to tell between an English and a Scottish accent; across the country, we're quite diverse in accent and speech patterns). Sorry to join the cult of posting random links but I really do think this is a good one: http:///?qh=ion=&q=howtoavoidbeingtrolled#/d3c9b3b There are a lot of people who take a negative review and claim it's a flame. The article is meant for Deviant Art but I think it's applicable to fanfiction.net as well. |
