Author has written 4 stories for X-Men. Hey, Thanks for visiting my profile page. Hopefully you liked something I wrote...that or you are just bored and clicking on shit. I guess I'll tell you a little about myself - I'm a child of the 90s and I always found Gambit and Rogue to be a particularly compelling couple. Eventually Marvel fucked that up, first by making their relationship a caricature of itself, and then by sabotaging it all together. But I hold on to what-could-have-been for several reasons: 1. Their story inspired me so why abandon it? And each story is, itself, the possession of the perceiver... Ugh...I'm sorry. 2. Gambit and Rogue (and to some extent comic book characters in general) have been portrayed in so many different ways it is sometimes hard to reconcile their various iterations with one another. The versions of Rogue frequently act like completely different people...ditto with gambit. For whatever reason I feel like this gives me license to play with them while simultaneously blaming the writers for the stupid decisions that they make. (When characters don't act in character - yeah, I blame the writers). 3. Even though I hate the confusing tangle of alternate universes that Marvel tends to indulge in, it leaves me/us free to essentially do whatever we want. Because universes. Well if you've gotten this far I might as well ask you to review my work. It's what keeps me writing. Have a great day! Best, J |
