![]() Author has written 4 stories for Sherlock, and Frozen. Really, all you need to know about me are the fandoms to which I belong :) And they are (alphabetically, of course): Adventure Time! Almost Human Angel (currently working through the 3rd season) Avatar: The Last Airbender (not the movie. never the movie.) The Avengers (just the current Marvel universe series of hero films, since I'm a newbie AND OHMYGOSH AGENTS OF SHIELD!!!) Buffy the Vampire Slayer (currently working through the 6th season) The Divergent trilogy (totally going to the midnight movie premiere in March) Doctor Who (Matty is my doctor, but I'm excited to see what PC brings to the role!) Downton Abbey Firefly (There is no justice in this world) Friends (who isn't though?) The Gemma Doyle Chronicles The Graceling series (Bitterblue is my favorite book in the series!) Harry Potter (books and movies. Obbbviouslyyyyyy *wink*) The Heir books (Cinda Williams Chima. Absolutely brilliant) Heroes of Olympus House (been ages since I watched, but gorgeous!) The Hunger Games (books and movies) The Inheritance Cycle (Probably the first fandom-oriented books I ever read, way back when. Many thanks to Mr. Paolini for showing me a beautiful new world.) The Inkheart Trilogy JOHN GREEN (The Fault in Our Stars, Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines and Paper Towns. Still trying to get my hands on a copy of Will Grayson, Will Grayson, and Let It Snow is on my to-read shelf.) The Kane Chronicles (Somewhat halfheartedly. I absolutely love that Riordan chose to explore the exotic realm of Egyptian mythology, but there were elements of his story that made me uncomfortable. I completely disagreed with how the Walt-Sadie-Anubis thing ended.) Labyrinth Monk (been ages since I watched, so I'm a little rusty) The Nanny (LOVE this show, probably more than I should, but I digress.) New Girl Percy Jackson and the Olympians (ONLY books. But I could be convinced to see the second movie just because Nathan Filion is in it) Peter and the Starcatchers (LOVE) The Princess Diaries (Books and movies, because although the first movie barely followed the books and the second never even happened, I still love them :) ) Once Upon a Time (Heavens to Betsy this show is dramatic) A Series of Unfortunate Events (been ages since I read, but still love! just books) Sailor Moon (been ages since I watched all the way through but still adore!) The Seven Realms (Also magically delicious. All Hail Queen Cinda) Sherlock (The BBC series, but then, you knew that) Star Wars (just movies, but I intend to get to the novelizations some day. Can you believe that there are people in this world who have never seen Star Wars???) Studio Ghibli (Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo, Princess Mononoke, The Secret World of Arietty, and Spirited Away. Still trying to find the others) Supernatural (Working through the 8th season) The Underland Chronicles (I just reread these recently and still thoroughly enjoyed every page. Only goes to show you exactly how brilliant Suzanne Collins is) Welcome to Night Vale (Goodnight, Night Vale... Goodnight) Some miscellaneous dystopia: For Darkness Shows the Stars, Under the Never Sky & Through the Ever Night, All These Things I've Done, Incarceron & Sapphique (though the ending to Sapphique was disappointing), Matched (I've only read the first one but I'm enamoured with the concept), Wither (I have yet to read Fever and the other one but I'll get there.), V for Vendetta (just the graphic novel. ADORE), Enclave, and The Selection & The Elite. (On my list: Eve, The Program, The Coldest Girl in Coldtown, Delirium, The Obsidian Mirror, and Fahrenheit 451, to name a few) Some miscellaneous mythological fictions: Starcrossed, Reincarnation, The Colossus Rises, Nobody's Princess & Nobody's Prize, Avalon High (it's dorky, I know, but I can't help but love it), Eon & Eona, Troy, etc. Some miscellaneous science fictions: Beta, Origin, Frankenstein, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Ender's Game (I've only read the first one since my reading list is never ending and I haven't found the others in a store anywhere!) Some miscellaneous historical fiction: Gone with the Wind (I have also read Scarlett and Rhett Butler's People, both penned many years after M.M.'s death, and they're good but... meh.), The Secret Garden, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers (The Man in the Iron Mask is nearly on the top of my reading pile), and To Kill a Mockingbird (So beautiful.) Finally, a very special nod to Edith Hamilton's "Mythology". My older sister gave me a battered copy when I was seven or eight years old and I cannot even count how many times I have read it. Both it and my copy of Eragon have been taped together many times, and are among the most precious things I own. Miss Hamilton was the very first person to introduce me to the fascinating world of ancient mythologies and I am eternally grateful to her. And a million other things I can't think of right now. They'll come to me though :) If there's a book you think I've probably read and want to discuss it, or if there's a book you think I should read and want to recommend it to me, please feel free to PM. I can never resist a good book talk. Or TV show talk. Or movie talk. Really, I just love geeking out with fellow geeks, so drop me a line if you feel we'd get along :) |
