Basically how I feel when I have writer's block: here How I feel when I finally get something done: there

Challenges (I know there's only one right now, but I might add more later.)

1) What if Sasuke had been a few seconds earlier coming home and saw his parent's faces as they were killed? What if Naruto was the one to save Hinata instead of Hiashi? What if Kakashi got over his grief earlier and was assigned to look after three very traumatized academy students?
Requirements:

1: Naruto has to use the power of the fox to save Hinata before Hiashi can get there.

2: Kumo has to learn that he is the Kyuubi's Holder and demand he be handed over in compensation, instead of Hizashi as in canon.

3: The Sandaime must refuse.

4: After refusal, Kumo must send assassins after Naruto at some point.

5: Sasuke must come home a few seconds earlier to see his parent's faces as Itachi kills them.

6: This must cause Sasuke to unlock his Sharingan and be able to activate it again, and remember getting it.

7: Kakashi must be assigned by the Sandaime to look after Naruto, Sasuke, and Hinata shortly after the two incidents occur.

8: Kakashi must be distant and and unforgiving as a sensei in the beginning. Can change later on , or stay the same, up to you.

9: They must become a genin team together earlier then the rest their age, preferably at age ten or younger.

10: There does not need to be any romance in it at all. If you do choose to add romance, Naruto can NOT pair up with anyone but Hinata, except for maybe Sakura if done right, and Hinata can NOT pair up with anyone but Naruto, except maybe with Kiba, but again, only if done well. Sasuke can pair up with whoever, he can even be gay if you want, but again, NO pairing between him and Naruto.

I've seen some of the features that I've listed above in other fanfics, but never all together like this. This seems interesting to me, and I think that it could end up really good. I hope lots of people try this out

Am I the only one that has noticed this? The Akatsuki have had 4 members that all have some special power/trait/jutsu that makes them immortal. Hidan can't die, Kakuzu and his 5 hearts, Sasori made himself into a puppet, and Orochimaru taking other people's bodies. I feel that if their were any arguments with Deidara about what art is, he would be outnumbered.

Yes, I think that Teuchi always knew who Naruto's parents were and that's why he never felt any animosity towards him. It would make sense that since Kushina liked ramen so much, she would have been a frequent visitor. She would have almost definitely brought Minato there, and Teuchi would get to know them. He would have known about there relationship and seen that she was pregnant. Knowing her name, it wouldn't be that difficult to put 2 and 2 together and for him to realize who Naruto's parents were.

Lemons in my Fics:

Never gonna happen. I'm sorry, but that's the truth. I don't have anything against them in a story, I'm just not going to write any. Here are my reasons: 1) I've tried it before, and failed miserably. I read it to myself and it just sounded horrible. 2) I don't want my account or stories to be banned, taken down, or destroyed. I love my story, love it like a child, and I don't think I could forgive myself if I got it taken down because I put something too explicit in my story. Besides, any stories I may write won't be about the sex, but about a good plot, and action, and drama, and some actual romance. If, FF.N gets that pole out of their ass and gets over the fact that people will write smut, then maybe I'll write a few scenes with lemons in them, but that won't be for a few years, if ever.

I don't know why, maybe Kishi just got better with storytelling, or what, but I love the back stories of the adults characters more than the current plot line of the manga. My view on Spoilers in FanFics:Spoilers are going to be in almost every fic on this site, so if you don't want spoilers, go finish whatever series before you read the fics.

My opinion on reviews in fanfics:

First off, I'd like to add a little something to this. Any author that knows me knows that I review a ton. I review, for the most part, because I like the story, and the more I like a story, the more I review it. If I like a story, I want others to find it and like it as well. The more reviews a story has, the more likely somebody will decide to read it, that is a fact. Just because I didn't review a chapter when I review the surrounding chapters doesn't mean I don't like that chapter, but that I don't have any question or that there was nothing in particular to say about it. Yes, some chapters are better than others, but that's how it is in all forms of literature.

The opportunity to review a chapter is just that… a REVIEW. Naturally, readers will (and frequently do) take the opportunity to express their opinions, hopes, desires, preferences, concerning the story (in general); and their approval/disapproval of the issue at hand: the chapter that they just read. Every reader has a right to speak their mind, that's what review function at FFN is all about.

Any author worth mentioning should welcome opinions and observations of their work… it serves many roles. Inspiration, helpful criticism, reasoned opinion, praise (a source of motivation for every author), and reviews can be an opportunity for an author as well. Reviewers are frequently fans of the story's focus, and sometimes become a resource for the author; and, some of the reviewers are authors in their own right... networking with them is equally desirable.

Being a realist, I accept that reviewers will stray from the matter at hand (reviewing the chapter). I kinda regard it as part of the gig if you’re going to write a fanfic… you just smile, or frown, and move on.

BUT... what is not acceptable is this: 'flaming' the story (do I have to explain what that entails?), obscenities and threats directed at the author, and using the opportunity to review as a soap-box to lecture the author on what should or shouldn't be ‘story content’, IF the content matches the rating of the fanfic.

It's one thing to call an author out for a scene involving ‘groping & heavy petting’ (otherwise known as 2nd or 3rd base… depending which chart you’re using) in a ‘K’ fanfic… that would be an issue (and any reviewer has the right to say as much). But if the content is consistent with fanfic's rating, and an appropriate warning posted to inform the reader of that content, then any complaints concerning content will be duly ignored. Repeated complaints from the same reviewer will earn a ban.

And, any reviewer who tells, or implies to me, the author, that I "need to write the fic in a manner that won't offend, or displease me" (in so many words)… that will get you a warning, there won't be a second warning... the 20t Ban Hammer is going to make an appearance.

NOBODY is forcing anyone to read my stories. If you're not happy with my version of a canon story, or my take on how canon characters are presented and grow, you are free to look elsewhere for something more suitable to your tastes, or sensitivities... that's your right.

When I write a fanfic, it's for an audience at large (and myself... if I'm not having a good time writing it, what's the point?). Will I be able to please everybody? Probably not, tastes, and opinions vary too much for that. But what I do try to do is present the best story possible, and if the number of hits, alerts and reviews tell me I'm on the right track, then I stick with that story. I owe that much to the readers who have invested the time to read my stories.

Greetings to the fine folk that moderate our site.

I have not been on this site or been writing here for very long, but many have been writing and posting on your fine site for years now, some of the better examples of up and coming writers out there are are now suddenly finding some of the stories we've come to love at risk of being removed without the chance to even rectify our errors.

For some, that means the permanent loss of a story. While I don't have anything that (I believe) violates your terms of use, there are those out there that are never able to recover a story in it's original form, this is something I find to be almost worthy of a legal action, as while we cannot claim ownership of a character, the stories are OURS and simply destroying them is something that is inexcusable.

It's quite easy to simply add an MA rating, additional filters or even a simple requirement for a free membership to read the stories presented here, and would cut down on hateful anonymous reviews and posts at the same time, so I have to question as to why such a thing, in all this time, simply wasn't added.

If you're worried about falsification of a registration then have an appropriate disclaimer and then there can be no dispute, you took your steps and the PARENTS didn't monitor their children, if that is even your concern. If it is more of a personal view or desire then please at least let people know and give them a chance to remove a story that you and yours find offensive, most people on the site are actually rather cordial when it comes to such requests.

While I cannot say for sure if this letter will even reach those that may be willing to listen, or if it's more akin to a wide spectrum purge in preparation for something bigger, please understand that you are going to be losing a LARGE number of your writers, and thus your income from a lack of readers if there is not some level of action taken to help with this situation.

Let it be known that it is absolutely forbidden to willingly perform the technique known as "1000 years of death" on a log. It is also equally frowned upon for one to replace oneself with a holy log for the purpose of avoiding said technique. The Situation in Hell

The following is supposedly an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.

As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different Religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "it will be a cold day in Hell before I go out with you", and take into account the fact that I went out with her last night, then number 2 must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over.

The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct . . . leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."
