A child should not have that level of maturity.
BTB chapter 2 . 1/16/2018
Two points: a child of four, reading? Even katakana? Who taught him? From the sound of it, the Hokage only checked for physical abuse (and apparently failed at that). How did Naruto learn to read?

Second point. You would have done better with a short terse note and a more extensive will and legacy of some sort. It stretches belief that he has all this running through his head, printing out in a special jutsu, while he's fighting 'Madara', and sealing the Kyubi. A kage Bunshin, with a special seal to allow a simulated rinneagan's eye-view, might have been better. The clone would have been aware of the fight, and where it was going, and written down his thoughts in real time, instead of a jutsu.

I'm sorry but I had to review just to let you know that this is possibly the worst fanfic I've read - and there's many. I don't mean to be rude, but the characters are unbelievable and 'naruto the pedagogue' with little fault is such a faulty conception (there's nothing balancing him out). The development is flawed, the storyline is tedious and unfortunaly I actually read two whole chapters. Thank you for slaughtering my favorite characters.

You expected your child to consider suicide at age 4-6...being hokage is so overrated

Was going to leave a comment but decided to browse the comments section first and i'm glad i did. Everything i was going to say and more was said by Autumn Amber.
Your portrayal of naruto was pretty unrealistic. Both my mother and sister works as a part time counselor to children so I've helped out there when asked and had some free time handy. While i won't say that i haven't seen kids react the way Naruto did in similar situations, and to be truthful they weren't that many to begin with, they were far and in-between.
Though humans tend to have a huge variety of personalities they tend to mostly react in the same way since despite what people may think most people are governed by instinct and emotions which leads tunneling reactions into distinct groups that i won't get into in a review. lol

Okay you really need to clean up this story. First off Itachi being Hanibi's father? WTF? Please go through the chapters and read them. See if they make sense to you.

I like your story so far, :)
But being completely fair, I do not see a child, especially one who grew up the way Naruto does in this fanfiction being so forgiving.

I mean, he first finds out that he has a family, something he as an abused orphan, would want so much, only to find out his father is the reason everyone hates him (essentially) and his father knew this would happen, but did it anyway, and then he leaves him a note that basically says, 'you'll have to suck it up and forgive them, because even though they're adults who should know better, they're not going to, so get used to it', along with an apology, and some stuff that he should have gotten anyway straight after his parents died, then ending it with follow your own path - even though we're pushing you to be a killer which you may not want to do - and saying I love you, and so does your mother. That's almost like saying everything that was done to you because of me should be forgiven because I've said I love you. (Admittedly Naruto would probably not see it that way, but that is how he might view it when he gets older.)
To start with, he's a 4 year old child (and how is he reading when those caring for him would not have taught him?) who's trust has been abused again and again - to a child like that, something like what his father wrote would be seen as a cruelty, or a betrayal (even though he wouldn't know it was his father at that point), and he probably would not have read past the 'suck it up and forgive them' part, at least not for a while, probably a few hours at least. And even when he did finish it, even if he did manage to understand what his dad was trying to say, and forgave him, (which does happen in at least 70% of cases like that), then what Sarutobi did at least, would not be forgiven so easily.

Here Sarutobi is, the only person this scared, lonely, abused child trusts, and he tells him; I left you here to be abused, knowing what was happening when I had the power to change it, or to prevent it from having happened in the first place.
I mean, you can make it sound all pretty, but children have a way of seeing to the heart of the matter, and they can't process or think of things the same way adults do - they are always ruled by their emotions, and that controls their first reactions, and maintains those reactions a lot longer than is found in adults, even in (and sometimes especially in) abused children. No matter how mature they seem with their control of their emotions, and their ability to read situations, they are still just children, who literally cannot see things the way an adult can. - That being said, up until the point where he instantly accepts and understands what Sarutobi and his father are telling him in the letter, you showed and described how an abused child will typically act perfectly. (With exceptions for a few moments later on, such as when you touched on anger as a response to being told to forgive the villagers which is a normal and healthy reaction from a child in that situation - that is also perfectly shown, though perhaps too brief in its appearance?)

On another note, a child who is abused like the way Naruto was doesn't trust easily, and what Sarutobi did/said would be viewed as a huge betrayal of the trust that had been built between the two. I don't see it breaking the trust between them necessarily - God knows abused children don't often turn away from their parents or parental figures that abuse them, in fact they actually tend to try and make them happier, so that they will like them more, (which again, you showed perfectly). But the abuse does damage their trust - they are not as open, and they, especially those that are physically abused, tend to shy away from being touched, even if the one they trust is not the one that hurt them - it becomes instinctive very quickly.

Sorry, I didn't mean for this to get so long, and I don't mean for you to take it as a angry review/ nasty criticism of your work, so I apologise if you do, I just meant it more as something to keep in mind for your character development if you want to.

All this being said, I have quite enjoyed your work so far as it has been quite well written, and has obviously been thought through. Keep up the good work :)

buttcabbage chapter 6 . 5/2/2015
there is nothing wrong with falling in love early in life. i personally had very strong feelings towards girlies when i was around 7 years old and i never regretted it. it was just like you said, my heart wanted to bust out of my chest and i didn't know why. only because my dick wasn't working yet. girls got an advantage cuz their clit works really early on, even before they start puberty. but i can totally understand the hugs and kisses, even at that age. its not terrible at all, rather its more real than some ppl would care to admit. i mean at least they are just being like normal kids and its not like hinata is sucking on naruto's demon enhanced 7y/o dick while naruto punishes her clit with demon chakra.
