![]() Author has written 32 stories for Gravity Falls. Special note: taking a brief sabbatical to work on my first Gravity Falls themed comic, “Protector,” with famed Deviantart artist, Kenzoe64. Please check it out and let us know what you think @: -The Wendip Week Tumblr page for the newest updates to the comic. -My own page (ddp456) at Deviantart for the rest of the archive. Please forgive the fact that fanfiction refuses to let us post exact links to these pages. In this case, Google is your friend. Enjoy! Greetings all, and thank you for visiting my profile page! Who am I? Just your average person working a regular job who dabbles in writing from time to time. I also have an awful habit of rooting for the little guy! Why do I do all of this? To be honest, I hadn't written anything professionally (or should I say publicly) for years until I watched Gravity Falls on cable one fateful night. After that, my imagination was instantly captured, and I found myself inspired. Why write about Dipper & Wendy? Gravity Falls has so many different, yet wonderful things to adore about it. There's mysteries galore! A tightly knitted back continuity! A barrage of cleverly-hidden innuendo that could make a Disney censor tear their hair out! But my favorite aspect of the show is the growth and development of the main character, Dipper Pines. Dipper is literally a version of myself at twelve years old (twelve and 3/4s if you wish to be specific). The same intelligence; the same mindset and determination, as well as all of his insecurities and inner fears. He could easily be a (non-copy-machine) clone of me! However, nothing warms my heart more than his interactions with his teenaged crush, Wendy Corduroy. The quintessential "girl next door," Wendy helps Dipper break away from his self-contained world of conspiracies and monsters by showing him life on the other side could be just as great. Maybe with the exception of Mabel, no one else forces Dipper to mature and try to be a better person (even though he does do a lot of stupid stuff in "her" name). Oddly enough, the show never really goes into great detail on how the bond between the two deepens. One episode, Wendy shrugs her shoulders as she reluctantly accepts Dipper's invitation to the Mystery Fair, while further down, she jumps for joy when he suggests that he sit at her side as her junior lifeguard. Where did this growth come from? That is where the archive below comes in. Not content with the stories I found on the 'net, I wanted to create a series of (mis)adventures with these partners-in-crime that suggest how the two further their relationship while trying to abide by the canon established by the show (so you're not going to find too much OCs or OOC moments here, I'm afraid). These tales are considered to be stand-alone unless noted in their descriptions (e.g. Dipper's Birthday Rumble 1 & 2 and For That Special Someone). So, please, feel free to enjoy the selection below! Leave me a quick review if you like your story (or want to give me advice on how to fix it) or shoot me a PM if you have a question. I'll try to get back to you ASAP! Cheers, my friends! Quick FAQ: Q: Are you secretly a writer for Gravity Falls? Your stories share a lot of the same details as the show... A: I wish! Those things are merely coincidence and nothing more! I chalk it up to "Great Minds Thinking Alike..." Q: So, you really don't know Alex Hirsch? A: Nope! The truth of the matter is that he'd probably sucker punch me (BTTF-style) if he found out what I do for fun... Q: Do you do commissions/requests/trades? A: I know I'm probably going to sound like a jerk, but at the moment, I do not. I'm lucky I have enough free time to finish my own projects (COUGH - DBR2 - COUGH) yet alone take on someone else's. However, I'm always up to prompts; if I end up using it, I will make sure to give proper credit for it. Q: So, you won't write a story for me? A: I can't. But if you ever need advice on making your own story or if you want me to give something a quick look-over, send me a PM, and I'll see what I can do! Q: Will you write anything else but Wendip (Wendy/Dipper) stories? A: When you learn to write, you'll learn that your best works will be the pieces that you feel the most passionate about; the ones that have a connection to. At the moment, I feel that way about those two troublemakers. Will it change in the future? We'll see... Q: Can I make fanart/other projects based on your works? A: By all means, YES! YES, PLEASE! The only thing I ask is send a message my way so I can check it out! Q: Why do you leave the phrase "added to the archives" in your reviews? A: After making a bunch of stories, a few of my fans and I created a community called "Wendippers" for people that want to find the best Wendip tales out there. When we find a great one, the mods (or I) will add it to the list so that your story receives as much attention as possible. Q: So, I have a great Wendy/Dipper story. Can you add it to the list? A: Of course! Unfortunately, these days, I don't have a lot of free time to explore Fanfiction to look for stories. If you have a piece that you wish to submit to the group, please send me a PM ASAP and I'll do my best to check it out. For this, I ask a few things story-wise: -Does not have to be romantically based (but Wendy/Dipper have to be primary characters). -I will approve "Teen" rating and under. "Mature" rated stories have to be checked out for content. -Speaking of, NO WENDY/DIPPER PORN! Kissing/Hugging/Cuddling/Tickle Fights are kosher, but nothing very sexually based (considering we're talking about a twelve and fifteen year old here) Q: It seems like you bug people for reviews/favorites/alerts. It's kind of pathetic... A: This is the deal. I'm not very social when it comes to the stories. I use very little amounts of social media, so any and all popularity I have is all in thanks to you, the readers! And as much as I appreciate the favorites and alerts, I look forward to the reviews most of all because in essence, it is you guys telling me if you liked a certain story or not. Why is that important? I personally read every review posted on this site, and it is your opinions that help me become a better writer, or even try new styles/tactics when writing new tales. So, please, even if it's something simple, like "Good idea!" or "That stunk!" remember, every last review helps. And if you feel like writing an essay telling me your thoughts, by all means, go nuts! Q: So, it looks like Dipper's Birthday Rumble 2 is wrapping up soon. Does that mean DBR3 is on the way? A: (shakes head and sighs...)
