Author has written 2 stories for Bleach, and Durarara!!/デュラララ!!. Announcement: Perfect Disease has been expanded, renamed A Dash of Bitters, and moved to https://www.fictionpress.info/s/3213655/1/A-Dash-of-Bitters Name: Tsukiyo Rin Age: Old enough to know better but, young enough to still not give a * Location: Los Angeles Education: BA About Me: Honestly, I never know what to say about myself, or what anyone would be interested in knowing about me. I’m an INFJ personality type (introversion, intuition, feeling, judging). So, I pretty much like sit and quietly pass judgement on other people based on how I feel about them because my gut instincts are never wrong. Kidding. Maybe. Bad humor aside, if you are interested in the kind of person I am, Wikipedia’s description of the characteristics associate with INFJ personalities is pretty spot on for how I am, as far as vague over-generalizations go. Moving on to things slightly more relevant, as this is a community of authors and literary art lovers. I am fascinated by language, English or otherwise, Etymologies, idiosyncratic idioms, and the human communication process as a whole, as well as the effect language has on cognitive and psychological processes on both an individual and societal level. I read all manner of the written word voraciously, often times forgoing sleep in favor of reading that ‘one last chapter' before I put the book down for real this time. I like to consider myself well read, but am honestly out of the loop when it comes to more contemporary fiction. My greatest literary influences and beloved authors include: Edgar Allen Poe, Chuck Palahniuk, Douglas Adams, Frank Herbert, Kurt Vonnegut, Ray Bradbury, Piers Anthony, JRR Tolkien, H.P. Lovecraft, and as cliched as it may be, Shakespeare. I have also been writing fiction and poetry for my own enjoyment since I was a child. My work has never been particularly action packed or fast paced since I prefer to pick apart the inner workings of my characters' brains and analyze their feelings and motivations. Also, I’m crap at writing dialogue. In my attempt to contribute to the fanfiction community that has kept me entertained for the past three years, I am finding that borrowing someone else's characters to play in my machinations to be a truly trying experience. I blame my reticence to publish on their lack of cooperation in going along with my designs. I recently stumbled upon, thank you StumbleUpon, this nifty page, ‘I Write Like’, that analyzes your writing style and word choice and matches it to famous authors whose works yours resembles. (I spent more time playing with it than I should have.) If I am to believe the returns, depending on the purpose of a given passage I tend to write like one of three dead white guys: David Wallace Foster, Vladimir Nabokov, or H.P. Lovecraft. Colour me amused. Feel free to message me about pretty much anything. I promise I am much more congenial than the frigid, uptight prat I come off as via electronic communication. (I get endless amounts of flack from my friends for my inability to email, text or IM in less than marginally familiar tone and in complete sentences with proper punctuation.)
