Spock and Uhura are assigned to an exploratory mission that requires complete compliance with the strict cultural practices of a new planet, Asteri. Nyota struggles to adjust, and Spock decides that some matters must simply be taken in hand.

"Yes." he whispered, ashamed. " Yes what?" She said running a finger down around his adam's apple. Spock shuttered. " Yes, I've...imagined having intercourse with you." he said meekly. Spock's TA has becomes obsessive and her fervor for him gets the best of both of them. Spock finds himself engaged in a battle of wills in which he both favors and dreads either outcome.

I wrote this because I wanted to do a character study of a friendship between Uhura and Kirk and how their relationship helps them both learn how to relate to Spock better. This is a Kirk and Uhura friendship fic mostly, but there is Spock/Uhura goodness
