A few comments: in TOS, Spock undergoes his first Pon Farr at age 35 - I see no reason to change that. If he had entered Pon Farr at an earlier age, his marriage to T'Pring would have been consummated then. Yes, Spock is widely read, and has READ about human sexual practices. There is a great deal of difference between READING about something and actually EXPERIENCING it. In TOS, at the age of 35, he is still ashamed of his human feelings and of feeling friendship for others. In the new reality, he appears to be coming to this balance much sooner, but while at the Academy is still repressed and secretive. It is not until they are on the Enterprise that he openly acknowledges his feelings.

My take on Pon Farr is definitely influenced by the canon statement that Pon Farr occurs every seven years during a Vulcan's ADULTHOOD. NOT adolescence! It most commonly occurs for the first time between the ages of 30 and 40, according to scholarly documents I have researched.

Another note: Lifespan: For Vulcans, over 200 years, 300 is not unknown. For Humans, 140 or thereabouts. People are not retiring in their early 60's and dying of old age at 80. For additional information about life in the 23rd century, the Memory Alpha wiki contains much information.

I have had questions about this, so I will confirm that the Spock in 'Of Tea and Music' is the same Spock that becomes Spock Prime in the Alternate Time line stories.

Families on the Enterprise: In the earliest episodes of TOS, there are both a wedding and a birth. There are shots of people roaming the halls in civilian clothing. It was the original intention to show family life on the spaceship - one of the things that got shot down by network executives who couldn't see far enough into the future or believe in it. In the new movie, there is a fully-staffed obstetrics unit, with the right equipment, on the Kelvin. OBVIOUSLY StarFleet has realized that you cannot send 400 plus healthy young adults of mixed species and sexes out in a spaceship without expecting fraternization. Therefore, there ARE families on the Enterprise. Maybe not many at the beginning, because most of the crew is new graduates. But the number will increase, with marriages between crewmates, and transfers in from other ships. And that's my take, and I'm sticking with it :-)

Chapter Sixty-five of 'All Good Things' has been posted. This is the continuation of the story of Spock and Nyota's life on the Enterprise, sequel to 'Have we Been Here Before?'. Many changes occur on the Enterprise at the beginning of this mission. How will the crew handle them? Rated M.

Chapter Fifteen of 'Destined From the Start-Part Two' has been posted. This is the story of Grayson Kafeel, oldest son of Spock and Nyota, starting in early childhood, and following him into the Academy. The second part starts the summer between Grayson's junior and senior years at the Academy. Rated M for very adult content.

Chapter Forty-five of 'Maat S'chn T'gai Vol 2' has been posted. This story takes place on New Vulcan and involves all the members of the clan. Rated T, although there will be some clearly marked "M" chapters.

Chapter Thirty-five of 'In Command' has been posted. This story follows the crew of the Enterprise as we approach the time period of the second movie. Rated M.
