About me- I'm a writer first and foremost, but that's more of a wild dream than it is a practical full-time occupation, so I'm a student looking into other options. I love to read above all else- I own more books than I have shelves for and can't walk into a bookstore, even a cheap secondhand paperback shop, without coming away with something new. I read three or four novels a week and my friends would tell you that my life is literature. I've actually declined social gatherings in favor of curling up before the fire with the latest Stephen King book, as wretchedly pathetic as that sounds. Despite my fascination with literature, I do get out and pursue other interests, such as student journalism (which has brought me close to tearing my hair out, on occasion, but I love it), photography, and tennis.

As for fanfiction, I can't promise to be faithful. Most of my writing pursuits are concentrated on fiction that might actually go somewhere, not fanfiction, which, though I love it, is a rather aimless hobby. I can't promise to update consistently because my inspiration comes in bursts (if I could sit down and hammer out a chapter a day like James Patterson, I would die of gratitude) and my stories take months of mental mulling to before I even begin to commit them to keyboard. Fanficition is a bit difficult for me to write, because I don't often name my fictional characters. I find that they are somehow more human in my perspective if they remain nameless and relatively undefined. I've been told that I have a very "read between the lines" style, and I would agree with that statement. Despite being a woman, I've come to realize that I write better from a male perspective. I've written fanfiction before (at this site, in fact), but as I want a fresh start to write in a different fandom, I've deleted my old, crappy pieces. I tend to write oneshots and short stories; multiple chapter pieces, be them fictional or fanfiction, are incredibly difficult for me to write. I think my strength lies in emotional imagery, and I fall down in plot development.

I write for Supernatural (used to write LOTR, but lost interest and deleted all stories)- the characters and storyline have utterly and completely captivated me. I blame favor of and fascination with Dean on Jensen Ackles (not just 'cause he's stunning, either ;P), but I do have a soft spot for Sam.
