Author has written 10 stories for Death Note.
Update (10/10/15):
Never mind. I'm not sure why I thought I'd actually have time. Still trying to write, but things are going really slowly, so I want to have a decent number of chapters saved up so that I can actually post on a regular schedule. I'm not going to try to estimate when I'm going to start posting because, chances are, it'll end up being later than whatever I estimate. But it is a thing that is going to happen! For the first time in a long while, I have a project that I'm actually really dedicated to, so I'm going to follow through with it. It just might be a while until it sees the light of day...
Update (8/29/15):
I'm not sure if anyone will ever actually see this or if I'm just talking to myself (which is fine too), but... My "gonna start posting at the beginning of September" plan is not going to happen. Basically, a bunch of irl nonsense got in the way of my plans, and now there is just no way I'm going to be able to have something ready for next week. That being said, it's still a thing that is happening, just a little later than I thought (because honestly, when am I not running behind compared to what I had planned?) New projected "release date" (if that's what you want to call it): first or second week of October.
Update (6/30/15):
I'd like to say that I'll be starting to write again really soon and that anyone who is still actually interested in reading my writing isn't waiting in vain. The truth is...I don't know. People have written comments that suggested that they thought I had left for good, and others have sent PMs asking if I have. The thing is I never actually intended to stop writing. Life got in the way, and then I found it hard to go back to writing and yet proceeded to tell people that I definitely would. I don't want to say that I'm definitely going to start posting again eventually, but that is still the goal. In fact, I'm planning on having the first chapter of a new story up by the beginning of September, but I've also said similar things many times before and it never happened. So take what I just said with a grain of salt. That being said, feel free to peruse the rest of my profile if you're interested in what I might (or might not) post in the future.
To all my readers, thank you so much for reading, favoriting, following, and reviewing! Really, it means the world to me! And even though the assumption is that, if an author on this site has been inactive for a while, they aren't reading any reviews their stories are still getting, that's not true! They still find their way to my email's inbox, and I still read every single one of them.
As always, if you have any questions or suggestions or just want to talk, feel free to PM me.
An important note about my stories: Let's assume I actually do start writing again... My goal is always to upload one chapter per week, but I tend to go on hiatus from time to time. Sometimes for a long time. It's just a thing that happens. In the words of Andrew Hussie, creator of Homestuck, "It is nothing short of The Greatest Tragedy that a beloved story is held hostage to the ability of a single artist to continue creating it." So I'm so terribly sorry if/when I will have to go on hiatus. However, no matter how long the hiatus, I will never abandon a story.
About yours truly (i.e., mostly random stuff that I decided to leave on here from before):
I have a couple different accounts across the internet under the name Amour en Rayures, but this is the only site I (currently) post on under that name. However, if you see this name somewhere (in a YouTube comment, for example), feel free to send me a message. Random conversations make for the best conversations. :) And in case you were wondering, Amour en Rayures is French. It translates literally as "Love in Stripes" but more accurately as "Love made of Stripes".
Perhaps you don't like online aliases. If this describes you, feel free to call me Nic.
I love yaoi. I don't think this needs any elaboration. I'm pretty sure anyone who has read my writing could infer that.
I'm currently an undergrad majoring in Psychology, Women's & Gender Studies, and Philosophy. You can blame 90% of all hiatuses, planned or unplanned, on my coursework. The other 10% you can blame on the fact that I procrastinate like my life depends on it.
Fandoms I might write for in the future:
Gorillaz
I've recently wandered into this fandom and have fallen in love with the music and the characters. Actually, you can thank this fandom for me actually getting my butt in gear about writing again. The fic that I'm currently convinced that I'll start posting in early September is a 2Doc (2D x Murdoc) fic. Still not promising anything, but that's currently the plan.
Homestuck
I actually started planning out a GamKar fic (see Beautiful Nonsense below), and assuming that I can actually get back into writing, there's still a really good chance that this story will happen. For that matter, if I lose interest in my 2Doc story idea between now and September, I might just default to this.
Death Note
I most certainly have not abandoned Matt and Mello! They will always be my OTP, and I can easily see myself writing another fic with them at some point in the future. In fact, I have about half of one already planned out (see Favorite Worse Nightmare below), though in all honestly, it's way more likely that I'd go with a different idea I have (sorry, no summary for that one yet). And to everyone who has read and commented on Neon Hearts and to those who still continue to read and comment (seriously, where do you all come from?), a sequel may still happen. Right now, I'd say the chances are slim, but I do have an idea for a sequel that I think has potential and that I still think about writing from time to time.
Upcoming projects:
Please note that this section has not been updated. I decided to leave it here in case someone wanted to know more about some of the possible stories I mentioned above.
Beautiful Nonsense (Pale to flushed GamKar; humanstuck AU)
This was originally supposed to be a oneshot, but then the idea wouldn't leave me alone, so now it's going to probably be a very long multi-chapter fic. I'm still planning on finishing the oneshot and posting that as a "pilot" of sorts as well as for practice since I've never written anything for the Homestuck fandom before. It might be a little while before I actually start posting this, but this is the next fic I plan to write. However, before I can start it, I need to finish and post the oneshot and outline the entire multi-chap version of the story. And before I can do any of that, this semester needs to end so that I actually have time. No summary yet because much of it is still very nebulous in my mind.
Favorite Worst Nightmare (MattxMello; AU)
I had about half of this outlined...and then I lost motivation to work on it. I have been planning to work on this for quite a long time now, and I'm still pretty invested in the story, so it's still very possible that I will write it. I just need my motivation to write this particular fic to return before I can actually do so.
Summary: Mello had never intended for things to happen this way. He’d never meant to be a cop who didn’t even bother to follow the laws he was supposed to upholding. He’d never wanted his ‘business’ relationship with that stupid redhead to go anywhere past that, and he’d definitely never wanted to fall in love again. But if Mello was one thing and one thing only, he was a hypocrite. AU.
Translations:
Neon Hearts is currently being translated into French by the wonderful Jilano and Caela-chan. The translation is being posted to Jilano's account and can be found here. From what I've read so far, they're doing an excellent job, so if you are a French reader, I would highly recommend their translation of Neon Hearts as well as their other translations!
