How I got into Fan Fiction.

There's kind of a funny story about how I got into the site in the first place. Around late May (2010 of course), I was looking through some SpyroxCynder stuff in Google out of nothing better to do. As I was perusing through said stuff, I noticed some odd title that got me interested. I clicked on it and it wound up being a story on this site. I've been hooked ever since.

Why I like...

Legend of Spyro series- Now I know there are those of you out there who believe the original Spyro is the best and there are those of you out there (if any) who believe Skylander Spyro is the best, but in all honesty, legend Spyro is without a doubt the better Spyro. I've played a few of the old Spyro games before, and they're all just going to worlds and kicking butt. And there's no way I'll ever play that Skylander game because it pretty much took a huge dump on the franchise. Here there's a more serious storyline behind it and the combat has more fluidity than the others. Plus we get to see love happen between Spyro and Cynder which is something everyone wants to see.

Kingdom Hearts- To be completely honest, I don't know why this franchise has become so interesting to me all of a sudden. Yes, I've never played it at all in my life and yes, I've never really heard about it until I got on the site. But now that I've done some research into it, I have to say that this franchise is great. The idea of traveling between worlds has to be the single greatest thing I've ever seen. Plus the very concept of a giant key that people use to layeth the smacketh down on other people is just hilarious.

Pokémon- Yes people, I know this gets more and more childish as you get older. But it's a generational thing. Pokémon has been around since I was a kid and I have a feeling this will one of those ideas that will withstand the test of time.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Now this has to be one of the craziest ideas I've ever come to like. The fact that four baby turtles and a ninja rat get splash by alien radiation and become one of the most widely known superhero group in existence is an epic in of itself. I especially like the fact that Leo and Raph make up the stereotypical love/hate brotherly relationship and that Donnie and Mikey are pretty much just along for the ride in their never-ending arguments. The one thing I can never figure out though is why a hot-ass girl like April would ever fall in love with someone as clueless as Casey Jones.

Call of Duty: Black Ops- I had played Call of Duty 3 but had a hard time telling who was on my side and who wasn't, thus not liking it. I told myself I wouldn't get any of the other games, but I caved and got this game. I like this game because, not only are the bad guys easier to figure out, but the plot was easy to follow. Plus I get to kill zombies.

Johnny Nitro- Johnny Nitro is my profile's public face. He takes on many forms depending on the story. Dragon name- Jargon

District 9- For District 9, Johnny Nitro is the cousin of the American Ambassador to the UN. He also happens o be Neil's separated twin brother.

Spyro- For the Spyro series, Johnny Nitro is a kid that has a birthmark shaped like a dragon on his right wrist. He currently has psychic abilities (telekinetic, telepathic, and some special sight I need to name), energy balls, laser eyes, Icefire, and energy spikes.

How to Train Your Dragon- For How to Train Your Dragon, Johnny is sent back in time due to some time traveling accident. Suffers from Aviophobia and Drakonophobia (although he classifies them as Staying-in-the-Air-for-Way-Too-Long phobia and Any-Type-of-Lizard-That-is-Large-has-Wings-and-can-Breathe-Fire phobia), which most people believe stems from nerves and a lack of confidence. Colin Neilson-Fraser: 18 years old, Brown hair, Blue eyes and usually is seen with a pair of sunglasses in human form

Colin is pretty much the de facto leader of the pair simply because Nathan has the good enough sense not to tell him no. Armed with years of constantly watching fads in pop culture come and go, he is quick to react to certain situations and, at the same time, quick to anger when something doesn't go his way. He is never shy when it comes to speaking his mind, overly confident to the point of narcissism, and will never be the first to admit that he got something wrong. His anger problems tend to get him into trouble, most of which he's able to get out of on his own through a show of brutal strength. Despite this aggressive attitude, he has proven to be an effective strategist and is extremely loyal to anything that doesn't fight against what he wants.

Colin's fighting style ranges from a focused, target oriented assault to a hard nose, in your face offense. He'll be the first to tell you he doesn't have the most multidimensional of moves, but the ones he does have all hurt. When level headed, he'll focus on an opponents weaknesses, taking his time and slowly dissecting then until he's incapacitated. When angry, he'll keep pummeling you with whatever bomb he throws at whatever body part he wants, weakness or no. Usually it takes the enemy running in fear or someone having to calm him down to keep him from overdoing it when he gets in that state. The main drawback with this style is that it forces him to end fights early or risk tiring himself out

For most of his childhood, Colin had to deal with his parents’ constant demands and restrictions on his life. This got so bad that when people started to notice why he was so miserable all the time, a series of events, starting with Colin ratting them out to the fuzz, cascaded into a judge taking him out of their care for emotional abuse. In the years since, he's had several foster parents attempt to raise him as their own, most of which ending after several months due to the bitter attitude he had developed since then. He may have gotten over the fact that it happened, but the very mention of his life before now still sets him off to this day.

Nathan Fraser: 16 years old, brown hair, hazel eyes

While not exactly the most direct person in the world, Nathan makes up for his lack of a competitive drive with his compassion for others. Unlike Colin, he is more willing to see the bright side in everything and is more sociable with others. He is overly trusting to the point of being extremely guilt-ridden when he gets in an argument with people and will always try to make it up to them the first chance he gets. He’s willing to trust Colin's judgment while trapped in the other world, although most of the time he has little faith in his plans. He's also one of the few people to have found a soft spot in Tigress' heart. A running gag is that he always gets hit in the family jewels when he least expects it

Nathan's fighting style is predominately defensive. Never being the one to make the first move, he'll usually counter his opponents moves, deflecting their attacks until he finds an opening to attack. When he does strike back, it's typically a measured strike that knocks opponents out cold. This style conserves energy and channels inner strength from the body. The drawback from this style is that he has to keep a level head and an eye on his surroundings or risk being overwhelmed if ganged up on.

Several years before he and Colin ever met, Nathan and a friends had gotten into an argument over a rule dispute during a bet. The argument quickly escalated into a fight that didn't end until his friend had to be taken to the hospital after a bad step led him to fall down a flight of stairs. Nathan's friend, who blamed him for the fall, never spoke to him again and in his anguish, Nathan vowed to never willingly harm anyone again... or at least until the ghost of a talking rhino helped him get his confidence back.

a Dragon's Heart was originally just going to have Blaze take Ignitus' place as Fire Guardian. considering how odd it would look to have him stuck with a bunch of old dudes, i decided to add the others in

Glacis, Rumble, and Jolt's human names came from people I knew over the years (ironically I only keep in contact with 2 of the 3)

aside from Timing out Phobias, Johnny Nitro is how I would react to certain situations in the archives

A Change in Destiny and the TLoS remakes were just ideas I came up with to bleed off time while I was coming up with chapters for Ambassador from Earth. I honestly had no idea they were going to be as popular as they are

Timing out Phobias was originally going to be called 'Why Time Traveling and a Fear of Dragons Should Never be Mixed'. Unfortunately, it ended up being too long, thus it was shortened to Timing out Phobias

Multiverse Mix-up came about after watching the Family Guy episode "Road to the Multiverse". considering that this was a massive undertaking that would need more than one mind to work on, I decided to bring Serenity in Virginia in on the project, to which he accepted... and then flaked out on

ch. 15-18 of Ambassador from Earth, the cut scenes from ch.12-15 of A Change in Destiny, and the food fight in Wild Force: Inauguration came from watching Viva La Bam

the basic inspiration for Colin's anger issues in Multiverse Mix-up came from Raphael from the Ninja Turtles

I was originally going to have Brighton be an agent of the International Police that ended up having to protect Mewtwo from Team Rocket while using ghost Pokémon, but I was having a hard time figuring out how to make it stick so I ended up scrapping that idea and making Generation Trapped

The gaps in the cut scenes in ch. 3-9 of Change in Destiny make sense with the ones in ch. 17-23 of Spartan B312's annoyingly unfinished, and now somehow deleted, story The Talking Eevee

Wild Force: Inauguration came to be because I wanted to put them becoming the new Guardians before I start writing the sequel

the basic plot line for a Change in Destiny and the flashes in Generation Trapped were loosely mirrored off the main story from the explorer version of the Mystery Dungeon spin-offs

the Annoying Wars came about because... well, there just needed to be more Annoying Orange stuff on the site

Rocky and Mugsy got their names from that blundering mobster duo from Loony Tunes fame
