![]() Author has written 9 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, and .hack/SIGN. Four months have passed since the ARK rose from the darkness. Nightmare gathering like storm. Time is now to gather the past, and to shatter all barriers. Chapter 15: ~Shadow and Fang~ On The Horizon It's been a long while since I've last updated. To the readers who have followed "Symphonic Chaotix" since its conception, I apologize for the sudden halt. In the last year, new mediums and new fandoms have been holding my interest; the most recent posting is a sample of my new occupations. The Twilight Generation is a story born out of speculations: I've been following the multimedia series .hack//G.U. since its conception in teaser trailer videos, and every new image or trailer shot has been scrutinized to death in my attempt to "guess" the plot and figure out the characters. I've since learned all of the plot twists and character nuances of the cannon, but not before penning a story that detailed the directions I believed the plot might lead. The story below runs three chapters and is listed as 'completed', but it is really just the prologue to a longer, alternate telling of the general events chronicaled in .hack//Roots. And my version has since become so 'alternate universe' and 'out of character' as to be considered obsolete: character names and situations IRL, for example, are of my own design. Personalities and motivations of the RPG-characters are also considered 'skewed' when one has devoured all three canon volumes of .hack. Put simply, my .hack 'language' has regressed into a a regional dialect, and just as you probably won't understand a thick Irish brogue on your first encounter, this story might leave dotHack purists similarily dazed and confused. I submit the story as a case example of "what might have been". If you are new or unfamiliar with the dotHack genre, I invite you to explore the story: I've put in effort into making the backstory and characters accessible regardless of one's fandom history. So all you Sonic fans, or browsers here on referral, take a look and tell me how I've done. I other news, I'm now live on YouTube, where you'll be able to view my 'other' projects. If you've got some Sonic games in your library, it's worth a click on the Home Page link. ~Stay aware of the world around you, drink lots of water and be humble. It'll save your life someday. |
