I noticed that it has been almost eight years since you last updated this fic. Do you still plan to write it even though the fic's status does not say "completed"? I really look forward to reading the next chapter if you still plan to write it.

This story is a precious gem. I love how beautiful and musical it is, like poetry.

...wow...just, wow. The. Greatest. Naraku. Fanfic. Ever. Written. It was described so well and it was so twisted and richly dark, it fit Naraku-sama perfectly!

Wow. So much wow I can't think straight at it. Gorgeous dark, and utterly twisted - way to employ your obviously amazing writing style to make something so wonderfully and deliciously grotesque. Oh, this one is SO in my favorites!

This is excellent. Great characterizations and long chapters? Is this from heaven? This is the first great Naraku-centric fic I've read and I love it. Did I mention that your characterizations are wonderful? 'Cause they are. I love what you did with Onigumo. The conversations between Onigumo and Naraku are very well done. That sort of thing isn't very common in fanfiction these days.

I see that updating takes a bit of time for you... well, I shall hope that this review will encourage you to update this fic. Happy writing.

this is excellently written prose that is in depth and vibrant and VISUAL without going all purply on the reader. and the depth you give Naraku and Onigumo is frighteningly alluring.

Awesome work! (I'm actually not done with it yet...) I wanted to let you know that your story inspired me to write a new One-Shot...it should be coming out tomorrow. The first scene was giving me problems and reading the first part of your story gave me a wonderful idea.

A lovely, creepy and chilling story. Each of your images and metaphors are so fresh and unique, so carefully crafted like demonlings of your mind - Onigumo's mutterings like a running stream. The unborn incarnation, a ribbon of rainbow silks. Kikyou, so beautiful, white and pure, yet also dark and world-weary. I especially admired the unity of essence you assessed to each of Naraku's children - all of them bound by some soulless hunger to seek and taint in their own unique colour.

The story of Onigumo is sad and disgusting in the loss, and also the bloody cruelty poured on the bandit. Besides Kagura, he comes off as the most sympathetic character, although each of the demons here is painted so as to hold a glimmer of humanity. Naraku, at moments, even seems a victim himself, ensnared by the false deception of the Shikon and the siren song promising peace to all the chattering distraction of his worrying mind.

I liked your assessment of his love of complexity - why else does Naraku brood and pine away, scheming another variation on the tune of 'trick my enemies to kill one another'. Although you do raise a good point that he is also held responsible for maintaining his lordly alter ego. What do his human vassals and servants think of the incarnations flying and drifting over the castle, I wonder?

I have two theories so far as to the Unborn, oddly innocent in its delight of cruelty and suffering: a demon melded to and released with the faceless Muso. Or, perhaps this is that -other- incarnation. That name and a rumor yet to surface in the dubbed anime. Hakudoshi, I believe.

Really awesome. This is probably the best inu fanfic Ive ever read. You are an amazing writer and I hope you start writing more fics afterthis one. You make the charatcers seem so real and I can totally see everything you write about. I really likethe things you said about Kagura, but wheres Kanna? Anyway, please update! )

This is easily as beautiful as the first chapter, and it's nice to find a fiction with such wonderful length. I was able to get into the story early on, and the rest was absolutely immersive from there. I love the way you write, and I love the little side-studies of Kagura you've been doing. Will there be others, possibly on Kanna and the other shades?
