Hello, welcome to the profile of Gonturan! What is with the name? Why are you so curious?

Gonturan is a reference to Robin McKinley's novel, "The Blue Sword". The name is actually the name of the blue sword which only allows its bearer to be of the female gender. Any male who carries her after their 21st year will meet an unfortunate demise. Gonturan is a friend to her bearer and in times of peril can be used to defeat forces of evil that one normally can't on their own. The book is great, one of the best fantasy novels I have ever read and still a much loved favorite. The prequel to this book is "The Hero and the Crown" also very good and highly recommended.

So a little about myself: I am a girl. I'm attending college. I have participated in several different types of forums, and enjoy writing very much. I believe in writing with proper grammar, and refuse to read a post with text speech in it unless it is the description of something the character is doing. I know that I'm not perfect with grammar or spelling, and will likely make a few mistakes. Please review my stories when I get around to publishing them, trust me I love any and all critiques!

I do enjoy the anime/manga genre amongst others, my interests tend to be eclectic. Currently, I enjoy watching a lot of the Gundam series more so Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and Gundam Seed Destiny. My favorite characters to read about are: Athrun Zala & Cagalli Yula Atha, Heero Yuy & Relena Peacecraft, and Zechs & Noin. I'm totally open to reading new threads, I just have to find it interesting enough to want to keep up with it.

I've been reading Ouran High school Host Club, and Fruit Basket, both are superb mangas that I recommend to any who like a good funny story.

I also am a complete bookworm, and movie lover. I LOVE the Harry Potter series, and Lord of the Rings. Anything by Robin Hobb or Robin McKinley. I also enjoy classics like Jane Austen and Shakespeare. My reading delves into many different kinds of genres, just about anything I can get my hands on really. Movies I like are mostly action/adventure, comedies, or romantic/comedies. I dislike horror movies, just not really into that kind of stuff. I like watching anime, currently am watching Kaichou wa Maid-Sama!

Regular TV shows that I enjoy are Bones, NCIS, NCIS LA, Sanctuary, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, Merlin, Vampire Diaries, Doctor Who, Burn Notice, White Collar, Royal Pains, and many many more.

I really like reviewing other people's fan fics. I try not to be too harsh, and to always help the writer whether it is just expressing how much I enjoy the story, or a specific character.

Status of Stories:

Rebuilding:Updated!!! Chapter Nine is up. I'm currently working on Chapter 10. I have Finals coming up and 3 papers due so it might be a week or two but if I can manage it I will otherwise my break is coming up which will give more time to write and update!

New Story: Going against the Grain I began working on an Ouran Host Club story. It's a Mori-sempai and oc character pairing. Not sure when this will be uploaded. Definitely after Chapter Ten of Rebuilding.
