Author has written 3 stories for Twilight, and Akatsuki no Yona/暁のヨナ. I am terribly unfaithful to these stories, but I always come back to them in the end. Thanks for bearing with me, those of you who are still here. I've finished outlining the major plot arc for Bound in Chains, and hopefully I'll flesh it out and finish it this year. I started it with an idea about a world where vampires weren't so large and in charge anymore, but wasn't really sure where to take it, and drifted away. I came back to it last year when I reread the series (in a fit of loneliness, as you do) and was inspired to return to the little universe I had created. Now that I've finished my Master's thesis, I feel like I can actually write for fun again - something I really haven't felt like doing since I started post-secondary education about seven years ago when I first started publishing on this site. So thank you for your patience, if any of you are still around from way back when, and I hope to do better than my track record, for those of you joining me now. I've also become very attached to the series Akatsuki no Yona, or Yona of the Dawn, in recent months. It is a series that defies genre classification, somehow being a shojo manga, an epic hero's journey, and a (quasi)historical fantasy geopolitical drama all in one. It is a story about personal growth and change, institutional growth and change, and deep philosophical questions about what it means to lead. Even if anime/manga isn't your bag, I would highly recommend this series. However, virtually none of those wonderful things about it show up in my fanfictions. Since it's ongoing, and I want my stories to either be firmly AU or (at least nominally) canon compatible, I don't feel like I can contribute to the lofty storylines and themes at this time. So instead I focus on the shojo part, and explore the numerous potential pairings. This has taken my attention for now, partially because of the warm reception Waking the Dragon received, despite my inexperience in the genre. But I STILL have not abandoned Bound in Chains. I am determined to finish that story eventually. As all of us on this website do, I think, I deeply appreciate your reviews, favourites, and follows. It's nice to know that someone's reading. -- Sang Et Or |
