(and in case there's any confusion, the avatar is a pic of Rutina Wesley, who plays Tara on True Blood, at her most awesome. I much prefer the TB version of Tara than the book canon.)

I live in Colorado and I've been trying to write fic for the Southern Vampire Mystery series and the Twilight Saga. Let's just say I'm older than our friend Sookie but younger than Mister Northman and leave it at that.

I'm squarely and firmly Team Eric, (and if anyone frequents Jezebel, I'm also Team Cake.) My favorite SVM character is Pam, with Thalia coming in a close second. I tend to channel Pam and find it easy to see life (undeath?) from her perspective. I truly believe Thalia's story deserves to be told, and i've begun to do that in the story Bloodletting.

My fanfic creed: Fan fiction is our chance as people who appreciate a good story to really show our appreciation for the original author, the characters, and their worlds. It is our opportunity to take the characters and live out our fantasies of them, with them. Therefore, anything goes. I may be disgusted with where you want to take an author's characters, but I will defend your right to do it. There is a place for fanfic that sticks strictly to Canon and never remotely veers Out of Character, and I enjoy these stories and appreciate the ability of a great fanfic writer to satiate my cravings until the next book in any given series is released. But for those who dare to draw outside of the lines: I salute you, and I want to support you. Gimme all you've got. :)

Fair warning: since FFn is currently the sole beneficiary of my Post-M.Ed.-Completion Burnout Syndrome time, I have finally started writing for the Twilight universe now that I've found a way to move past the teenage angst/sparklysparklyNOMNOMNOM aspect. (Team Edward.) Someday I plan on writing fic for Stephen King's Dark Tower Series, as well.

Oh yeah, I'm also a beta for Project Team Beta, Sparkly Red Pen, and Emergency Beta Service. (Do I like to Beta? Why yes, I do.) Also a member of the LiveJournal Inficted community.
