Author has written 9 stories for Twilight. I realized that people actually look at the profiles, so "Hi!" I have an unhealthy aversion to bad grammar and misspelled words. I grade student papers, so I've read some bad stuff. I don't even read the local paper anymore; the number of grammar errors was too large for me to enjoy it. If you see an error in my writing, please PM me. I am happily married, for 17 years. All my "kids" have 4 legs and fur. I love to sing and am a longtime member of my church choir. I got turned on to Twilight by my mom, who is in her late sixties. She isn't as addicted as I am, but she's read the whole series 7 times now. Whoops, she may have passed me! In Twilight Fanfiction, I love in-canon stories and missing moments. And crazy humor. Other books/series I have enjoyed: Harry Potter (JK Rowling), Wheel of Time (Robert Jordan), Sword of Truth (Terry Goodkind), John Sandford's "Prey," Katherine Kurtz's "Deryni," The Belgariad and The Mallorean (David Eddings), Lord Peter Wimsey (Dorothy L. Sayers), Richard Jury (Martha Grimes), anything Jane Austen. The last time I was this obsessed with a fictional character was the summer that Spider-man 2 came out. That started my obsession with Ultimate Spider-man, authored by Brian Michael Bendis. He writes dialogue to die for. I got interviewed ?!!?? Saluki from MyVampFiction dot com interviewed me; you can read about it here. The post was on May 13, 2010! I cohosted the Twilight Anniversary Challenge, with Justine Lark and edward-bella-harry-ginny! Congrats to the winners: TheSingingGirl, EaglesWing81, and BMC1984! ebhg made banners for the top three stories:) Nominations/Contests CURRENT: Nominations/Contests COMPLETE: The Cold War, Soldier X, and Acts of Aggression all were nominated for awards at TheIndieTwificAwards in February 2010! The Cold War made it to the final round under "Best Action." The Cold War was nominated for the Lion Award (Best Story with Vampires) at The Mystic Awards. You can vote until October 9, 2009 here. Masen and Swan: The FBI's Most Unwanted written with edward-bella-harry-ginny took Second Place in the Epic T contest sponsored by Bronzehairedgirl620 in memory of Daddy's Little Cannibal. You can read all the entries in the C2. It also won FIRST PLACE in the Sparkle Awards (First incarnation which ended July 31, 2009) in TWO CATEGORIES: Best Collaboration and Best One-shot. The Cold War made it to the final round at the Indie Twific Awards for Best Canon WIP and Best Original Character WIP. It won 2nd Place at The Sparkle Awards (First Incarnation which ended July 31, 2009) for Best Post-Breaking Dawn. The Cold War won at the Sparkle Awards (Second Incarnation, announced Dec. 12, 2009) for Best Volturi. My stories: The Cold War is an in-canon story of the Cullens twenty years after Breaking Dawn. It was inspired by several statements made throughout the series, but the most important was from Ch. 39 of Breaking Dawn. In the aftermath of the victory over the Volturi, Edward warns that "they'll try to pick us off separately" once they regroup from their loss. Siobhan counters with the statement that "Alice will warn us when they intend to strike." My fabulous friend edward-bella-harry-ginny has made a banner for The Cold War and beta'ed a lot of the chapters (ch. 18 and beyond). Justine Lark also beta'ed several chapters. Acts of Aggression is the sequel to The Cold War. With the end of the Cold War, the Volturi have begun to actively seek the end of the Cullens. ebhg has been my beta for this story, and she made it a fabulous banner! If you don't look at any of the others, look at this one! Soldier X is an alternate universe Twilight story. At the moment, the summary on the story says everything I'm ready to say about the storyline! The idea hit me quite suddenly one day (as ebhg can attest). Currently, this is a lower priority for me than AoA. ebhg is serving as my beta for this story, and she also created a banner! I have an information page on Soldier X on my blog which lists all the Team members and their prominent attributes. Masen and Swan: The FBI's Most Unwanted is a collaboration with edward-bella-harry-ginny. It is a short mystery featuring Edward and Bella as partner FBI agents hunting a possible vampire. It was inspired by the X-files, but we don't really consider it a crossover. It was also inspired by bronzehairedgirl620's Epic T contest in memory of Daddy's Little Cannibal. ebhg created a banner for this as well. The contest entries (including this one) can be found in the appropriate C2 here. Masen and Swan: In the Windy City, another collaboration with edward-bella-harry-ginny, is the second episode of the Masen and Swan series. It could be read alone, but has a few spoilers for episode 1 (Most Unwanted). Banner by ebhg! Renesmee's First Lie is the second collaboration between ebhg and me. It is an in-canon "Daddy Edward" story, and is a spin-off of The Cold War in that the event is mentioned in Ch. 24 of that story. Once I had "invented" the event, ebhg and I couldn't resist writing out the full story. As you might have guessed, ebhg created a banner for RFL as well! Finally, special thanks to ebhg for creating my avatar. I've said it before, and I'll likely say it again: she is a treasure. Thank you Justine Lark for setting us up! |
