Author has written 4 stories for Maximum Ride, and Harry Potter. About me: I like to figure skate and play soccer, but those are the only sports I truly enjoy. For the most part, large balls flying at my head scare me. I really enjoy playing the violin and I am teaching myself how to play the piano using my mom's old piano books from when she was a kid. I enjoy writing fiction and fanfiction (obviously) and reading the work of other aspiring authors. You can call me Ellie, since Chasing Ideas gets a bit long winded if you type it a lot and doesn't really sound like a name. It has absolutely nothing to do with my name, which starts with an S, or my middle name, which starts with a B. I needed a name to use online that I wouldn't forget, and this was the first one that popped into my head. Lame story, I know. Hometown: As if I would tell you! What I will tell you is that I live in a medium sized town in the northeastern United States. Education: I go to public school. (sigh) I really want to go to boarding school, but my parents won't let me. Luckily my high school is pretty nice. Hobbies: Reading, writing, playing the violin, skating, listening to music, talking to friends, reading fanfictions, etc. Pets: none. :( I used to have two goldfish...but they died. Music: I listen to a lot of different stuff depending on my mood. My favorite genres are probably classic rock, alternative, and classical, but I also like some pop and country stuff. Most recently I have become quite obsessed with The Fray. My current favorite song is the fourth movement to Dvorak's New World Symphony. It's epic! Movies: HARRY POTTER! (last movie=epic), Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Pirates of the Carribean, Lord of the Rings, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen... I don't really have a lot of favorites, just a whole bunch of movies I really like but I don't have time to list. TV shows: Grey's Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory, The Simpsons, How I Met Your Mother. The Glee Project is my guilty pleasure. TV channels in General: Discovery, TLC, Bravo, Oxygen, History, Food Network, Travel, and Fox Soccer Network Favorite Youtube-ers: CHARLIEISSOCOOLLIKE, CHARLIEISSOCOOLLIKE, CHARLIEISSOCOOLLIKE. And Nerimon. And the VlogBrothers. Tobuscus too. But mostly Charlie. Also: I don't care how popular he is, I can't stand Nigahiga. Favorite Food: Chicken alfredo! Favorite Drinks: Apple cider and lemonade (not together of course!) Favorite Color: Purple, any shade Maximum Ride Quotes: "The first M-Geeks hit the sides of the sub and we all grabbed on to something. I happened to grab on to Fang." ~Max in MAX "Yes. I owed my life, Angel's life, and my mother's life to a mutant's ability to create industrail strength snot." ~Max in MAX This is a long one, but it's one of my favorites!! "This is nice," the Gasman said happily. "It's like summer camp." "Suddenly I stopped dead, as if I'd been poleaxed. "If by 'superior' you mean totally inadequate in every way, then, yes, Omega is far superior." ~from Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports. More personal quotes: "I'm not a know it all. You just did it wrong." Me when one of my friends started my friendship bracelet wrong. I told her that she had and that I could do it better. When I did, she called me a know it all, and I said this. "This is true. It's very sad." At camp my friend Jessie always said this is true, and my friend Kina Kalamari (check out her stuff here and also on fiction press) and I always say "It's very sad," because it's a quote from MAX. We decided they sounded good together, so we combined them. Jessie: We should probably go over there. (points to the rest of our group) Inspirational quotes: "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss you'll land among the stars." ~Les Brown. My all time favorite quote and the inspiration for my fictionpress username. Unfortunately, it was already taken here. "Be who you are and say what you feel because people who mind don't matter and people who matter don't mind." ~Doctor Seuss. My second all time favorite quote. Song Thing I got this from my friend Kina Kalamari who saw it on everyoneisMISunderstood's. Mine turned out sort of strange, but I guess that's the point. Put your ipod (or mp3 player) on shuffle and copy down each song. It's like a movie version of your life. Opening Credits: Hold On (Jonas Brothers) Why do I need to hold on? It hasn't even started yet! Uh oh... Waking Up: Games (Jonas Brothers) I don't play games when I wake up. I'm barely concious! First Day of School: All These Lives (Daughtry) Uhh... Okay... Falling in Love: Grace (Kate Havnevick) Finally! One that sort of makes sense! Fighting: Hot n Cold (Katy Perry) Two in a row! Breaking up: Fabulous (Ashley Tisdale) This one makes no sense. And why is High School Musical on my ipod anyway?? Driving: Got Me Going Crazy (Jonas Brothers)Well... It'll make my mom crazy, so it works. Sort of. Flashback: Big Girls Don't Cry (Fergie) I guess now that I'm older I shouldn't dwell or be upset by the past, so... okay. Mental Breakdown: The Great Escape (Boys Like Girls) He he. That makes SO much sense. Getting Back Together: Things That Never Cross a Mans Mind (Kellie Pickler)I guess that could work... Wedding: The Two Grenadiers (performed on violin by David Cerone) It's classical, so it works I suppose Birth of a Child: I Don't Dance (Cast of High School Musical) Of course I'm not dancing; I'm having a baby! And again, why is HSM even on my ipod? Final Battle: Goodnight and Goodbye (Jonas Brothers)Makes sense... Death Scene: Single Ladies (Beyonce) If my husband dies I'll be single again, but otherwise this makes NO sense at all Funeral: Minuet (performed by David Cerone) Again, it's classical, so I guess it works End Credits: Farther Along (Brad Paisley) Woo hoo! My final one makes the most sense of all. I guess that sums it up folks! Story Ideas: I've been getting into the Harry Potter fandom lately. The two others I'm working on (but haven't posted yet) are: Kina Kalamari and I have this cool idea for Twilight. (evil laughter) Just you wait, it's going to be amazing. |
