Author has written 1 story for CSI: New York. I thought it was about time I actually wrote something in my profile! I’m madmush & live in the West Midlands in the UK. Never mind London, Birmingham is where it’s at! I’m 39, yep it will be the big 4-0 next year but my mental age is around the age of 8 years old. It’s why I’m good at my job! I work as a childminder - caring for other peoples’ children in my home. So I spend most of my time with animals or the under 5’s. Still, it’s a good excuse to do stupid things like splashing in puddles, finger painting and singing nursery rhymes wherever I go. I am also slightly obsessed with the colour green. Seriously. Ask the children I care for. Even they know green is my favourite colour :D I share my home with my dog, Susie and three guinea pigs - Legolas, Billy & Bobby. I would say I own them but that’s not strictly true. They own me. I’d say I’d like it the other way round but it’s just right like this! My favourite show is CSI NY. Hands down. My animals know CSI NY as well as I do now, considering how many times Channel 5 & Five USA show the episodes. And then there’s me & my DVD’s. But sometimes only CSI NY will do. Especially when I am feeling fed up. Hooray for season 6 finally being out on DVD. About time people! My favourite character is Lindsay. I can relate to her in so many ways & she is an amazing character. Of course with Lindsay comes Danny and Lucy. Not a bad thing at all. I also like Sid. He is so funny and there should be more of him in each episode. Sid and Adam when he starts rambling on about nothing. So funny. So why have I written my story? Who knows because I hated English at school! If I could have done I would have dropped it. But here I am over 20 years later and actually enjoying writing. The likelihood is I will only write this one story and I think that is more than enough. I don’t think I could come up with anything else. It’s too hard work. So here’s t the writers of CSI NY because they do an amazing job. Except for parts of Season 4. I like to pretend that never happened. Except when I finally get around to writing that part sometime in the year 2050 the way I keep adding to my story continually. Thank goodness for Seasons 5 & 6 and here’s to a brilliant Season 7, although it will be interesting without Stella. Roll on January when it will start again here in the UK. I had always wondered about Lindsay's past and how it affected her. Once the ‘big bad secret’ was revealed watching the earlier episodes you can see her reactions to certain situations and I couldn’t help but wonder what had exactly happened to her. So I decided to write a story. Or should I say a novel. It’s very long. It starts with Lindsay's last couple of weeks in Montana and is her saying goodbye to her home before she moves and looks at what has happened to her since the shooting. This was supposed to only be a few pages but has taken on a life of its own. Still, it’s good therapy when I’ve had a bad day. I will continue with her life in New York when I eventually get there. Hopefully sometime this year but I’m not holding my breath on that anymore. Every time I say I’m nearly there, I add something else in. So who knows what’s going to happen next. If you do let me know because I don’t have a clue. I will say I am English. Born and bred right down to the bone. That means I write like an English person. So I use English words, mostly, as opposed to American ones. Mum instead of mom, crisps instead of chips (chips are big fat French fries), nappies instead of diapers etc etc etc. If you don’t like it then I’m sorry but it is tough luck. If you are unsure about a word and want to know what I mean just ask me. I am going to say a huge “Thank You” to Brina (Brinchen86). I say it at the end of every chapter but I will say it here to. Firstly she is a wonderful author & her stories are amazing. She writes about anything & everything. If you haven’t read them, check them out. I have no idea how she does it because I find it hard with one story! Brina has read every draft of this story and every bit I add on, helping me to sort chapters (I just write & go on & on & on a bit like this profile), give me encouragement and poked & prodded me gently to post this story. Without her I doubt it would be the epic load of waffle it is (it may not be long on ff at the moment but my version is another 200 pages long. And we’re still in Montana. It’s epic for me.) So thank you Brina for all your support, encouragement and friendship. I am very privileged to know you. |
