Author has written 6 stories for Dragon Ball Z, and Stargate: SG-1. Hello, I'm Milui Elenath. I first started writing for Fanfiction in 2002 for the characters of Bulma and Vegeta in DragonballZ. It seemed to me there was a story to tell in those three years that had been left out of the series and it burned within me to get it out. After a few test stories I wrote She's Everywhere and have continued to revise it over the years (decades) as my writing improved. I've now branched into other fandoms such as Stargate SG-1 (Vala and Daniel) and will shortly be embarking on a couple more for the Labyrinth (Sarah and Jareth) The art of writing is something which never gets old to me, I'm always finding myself stretching those skills and venturing into new places, experimenting with dynamics. I think Fanfiction is a fantastic place for practising and publishing. (Afterall what are Star Trek and Star Wars novels and the like if not just official fanfiction?) I also adore fanfiction for reading. It's helpful to read so many different styles from so many different authors in varying states of expertise. Thanks for checking out my profile and my stories. I hope they entertain and inspire you. My advice to other writers is to READ READ READ (especially the genre you are writing) and write consistently. Also a brief note about plagiarism and plot theft. PLEASE DON'T! Don't copy or paste words, don't steal original plot ideas and then paraphrase them - it isn't flattering and it isn't a tribute to the original author. It's shocking and it's unethical. We all work very hard to make our fanfictions stand out in the genre, where the source material may be limited and similarities are bound to happen so to plagiarise or steal a plot or scene that is not your own robs the author of that hard work. It also robs the plagiarist of the satisfaction of overcoming plot issues and bringing together their own story - you will never improve doing that. It might be tempting when you are stuck but it is wrong and will not do your writing talent any justice. THANKS! |
