![]() Author has written 25 stories for Smallville, Stargate: SG-1, and Arrow. Hey there, Here's a little bit of me. (At least the couch potato part) Love to read, must at times write and I guess I get way too invested in the TV that I watch. I read fanfiction from Smallville (cause the fans are the only ones I can count on now to get it right and yes, that means to me Chlark or Chlois and if I'm in the mood I'll even visit Chlollie or Chlex) and and Stargate Sg1 (addicted to Daniel/Vala and not trying to quit). Both have been off the air for a while now and yet I keep coming back. And then there is my new love,Arrow. Long live Olicity. I am currently still watching: Bones and Castle though these days they are more like a comfortable old friend than an exciting love. I have to get my Dr. Who via DVD but the wait is still worth it. Haven is still the most under rated show out there. I'm a big fan of New Girl. It's so weird and yet, recognizable. Real people ARE weird. I do still watch Grimm but it's less fun. Arrow has become my new must watch show. Season three was rough but handed out some Terrific rewards. Really like The Flash and can't wait for Legends of Tomorrow. Yes I'm also still watching Agents of SHEILD. I like it better in its second season but it goes down best when watched in binge format. Jane the Virgin has been so much fun too. Rounding out the list of the waaaaay too many shows I program my DVR to capture are The Big Bang Theory, The Middle, Black-ish, Younger, Lost Girl, Defiance, Longmire, Downton Abbey, Suits, Scorpian, Madame Secretary, i-Zombie, Elementary (Sherlock is a better take on Holmes but I like Elementary for what it is) and I know I'm forgetting some but right now I will stop, still secure in the knowledge that I watch far too many shows. Some favorite older shows include Gilmore Girls, Friends (I am amazed how funny the reruns still are!) Battlestar Gallactica (Even though the ending was not perfect) Veronica Mars (I still actively miss this show. Loved the movie!) Alias, Star Trek -The Next Generation, X-Files, and Lois & Clark, The New Adventures of Superman. How could I not have included Firefly? It's a classic already. Another classic (Give it a few minutes and you'll get past the fluffy hair and shiny suits) Remington Steele. Probably my all time favorite series ever. Got obsessed with it as a little kid and has led to a long term love affair with the classic movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood. They might be in Black &White (and surround sound just science fiction nonsense), but when it comes to love, mystery, and romance-- nothing on the screens today can compare. So all of that info combines to say that I am a huge romantic at heart who enjoys mystery, suspense, the fantastical, heroes of the super kind, and a healthy amount of comedic cheese but still I demand that my shows retain an internal logic and remain true to the characters. For a lot of shows that is a tall order. (Hence FanFiction) Melissa |
