For the most part, all of it is still true. And it's a reminder to myself of how things were before. Hi, I'm Yamadori, and thank you for visiting my profile! This profile will probably be updated regularly, since I tend to forget things often. Another thing I tend to do is work in waves. What I mean by that is this: I will focus on a game/anime/book series for a long time, then suddenly stop and switch over to another series. I may take a while to update my stories, because it takes me a long time to write. I'll try to get out stories as quickly as possible, though. I've decided to make an updating requirement - I need at least ten hits to a story before I'll update it. I'm not trying to be mean or anything; I just want to make sure that someone's read the first part, and give them time to possibly review. Also, feel free to send me a message if there's a new story you'd like me to write. I'm always trying to think of new stories, but I'm not always able to. I'll take a request for just about any game/anime, though if it isn't on the list of favorites below, I may not know what it is. But I haven't completed the list yet, so it's possible the series you'd like me to write for is supposed to be on that list. Oh, and in case anyone got the wrong idea, you can still send me a message for other reasons, too. My interests include birds, video games, anime, Japanese language/culture, reading, basketball, listening to music and writing fan fiction. And that's just to get started; I probably won't put all of my interests here, since I'm interested in a lot of things. Section Last Updated: ?/?/2009 News 6/4/2016: Really stressed, really tired, and frankly really sick of life. But I'm still here. And I'm still surviving. And I've been through too much to give up now. 5/29/2014: My God, it's been so long. You would not believe everything that has happened since I last talked to any of you. A lot of tragedies, but some really good things in the past year as well... These things have forged me into a person who is not quite the same Yamadori you once knew. At the heart, I am still myself - but I'm also very different. I know a lot of you may have given up on me... I didn't realize how long it's been, but it's been a long time. Please forgive me. I know I've said this often, but this time is different - I will try harder to not disappear so suddenly. And even if I am not updating, please contact me; this time, I will still be here, even if I'm not updating or publishing anything. As for updates: I am abandoning the birthday present project for the time being. Please don't think it's because I don't care about you; I do. All of you are very dear to me... But at this point, so much time has gone past that it's likely impossible for me to catch up. At some point, I will probably try to complete and upload the presents that I had planned out or begun, but I don't know when that will be. What I will be doing in the interim is taking on some LiveJournal challenges; I need to use some prompts to exercise those "writing muscles" that have been inactive for so long; I tried to sit down and continue the next chapter of Blue Dragon Beyond and I was utterly lost. That's how out of it I am. I need to practice a little bit before I reattempt any of my ongoing projects. You will see things from Blue Dragon, but mostly from other things first. I will also probably do a complete overhaul of this profile; it's become very crowded, so much of it will likely be moved to LiveJournal or Tumblr (links for both of those will be put on my profile relatively soon, likely later today or tomorrow). Additionally, the changed updating style that I mentioned back in 2012 will also be implemented as soon as I update Blue Dragon Beyond; there will be another News post regarding it (hopefully sooner rather than later). For those of you who've been waiting for me, I thank you for not giving up on me. And for those who haven't, I hope you can forgive me. Regardless, you'll be seeing things from me soon. 10/31/2012: It's been a while since I updated the News section - this is my first time this year, I'm ashamed to say. I'm sorry for being away for much of this year - a lot of things have been going on in my life, and so my absence was alternately willing and unwilling, depending on the situation. I have been working steadily on the late birthday presents I need to write, but unfortunately I was unable to finish any before November, and so the presents - and all other fan fictions - will be on hold until November. I am doing NaNoWriMo this year, though due to some chaotic atmosphere I'm unsure of how successful I will be. I had intended for this year's project to be for BDG, but I'm afraid to say that I have been unable to get in the mood to write it, and so I'll have to do something else. (I won't say which story it was supposed to be, since everyone will likely be disappointed if they knew.) After thinking it over, I decided on the story I thought I would have the most success with - Today Is Better Than Yesterday. I hadn't wanted that story to be done during NaNoWriMo, but I've run out of time to come up with a better solution. I have been looking forward to writing it, though, so I'm going to try and look at the positives rather than the negatives. Please keep in mind that some of the first chapter is already written - 612 words, to be exact - and so that will not count towards the 50,000 word goal. Word count updates will be posted the same as last year - daily updates, or as close as I can get to it, both over here and on my livejournal (since took out the main website link option on our profiles, you can find me on livejournal as yamadori-hane). The completed chapters of Today Is Better Than Yesterday will be posted here on the first of December, and on livejournal as soon as possible. When my usual writing resumes as regularly in December, I will start working on birthday presents again. After that, once I've updated Blue Dragon Beyond (which everyone has been waiting on forever), there will be some smaller changes to this profile and a very big change to my current updating style. I'll have more to say about that when the time comes. 10/17/2011: If anyone knows what’s been going on with me lately (or maybe not so recently, now that I think about it), you may very well think that what I’m about to say is insane. I wouldn’t blame you; I think it’s crazy, too. However, this November, I’m going to do it – I am going to do NaNoWriMo. It will be as fan fiction, and it will be for Blue Dragon – most likely the anime, since I can come up with BDA fics more promptly than I can BDG, and I’ve come to this decision rather abruptly. I have not decided what it will be about – advice, ideas, unused plot bunnies, etc. would be appreciated. Also, I’m going to be joining LiveJournal very soon and using that as a “home base” of sorts for my fics. NOTICE: I WILL CONTINUE TO UPLOAD AND UPDATE THINGS ON THIS SITE. Before anything else, though, I'd like to apologize to An, whose birthday I missed because I needed the internet to complete it. However, I will resume work on it immediately.
