![]() Author has written 30 stories for Kannazuki no Miko, Sailor Moon, .hack/SIGN, Sailor Moon X-overs, and Read or Die. Note, 16th of January, 2009: Having refound my Haruka/Michiru muse, but in AU format, I'd like everybody who are intrigued by my Takarazuka universe to check out the threads that I have played my otokoyaku!Haruka in at the LiveJournal Moonlocket Sailor Moon dressing room RP here: http:///tools/memories.bml?user=josei_otokoyaku&keyword=moonlocket&filter=all and her introduction and canon history here: http:///692.html and here: http:///841.html. Otherwise, check out the information about Takarazuka Revue on wikipedia: http:///wiki/Takarazuka_Revue. All my information and notes on Takarazuka in my fics build on this page. Stays in Takarazuka itself has been moved, however, to me and my fellow AU author's new account: Lamone. Link will be up in a few days when the profile is finished and the stories have been re-uploaded. This time as seperate one-shots and not four "chapters". Keep an eye out. ~healing winds~ Credits: For inspiration, I would like to credit my girlfriend who more often than she would ever want to know, reminds me of Michiru, if not in looks, then in spirit. For the avatar, I'd like to credit shiokazesenshi on LiveJournal who has made hundreds and hundreds of wonderful Haruka and Michiru icons. For Sailor Moon and therefore for the very basics of most of my fics, I'd like to credit Naoko Takeuchi-sama. Without her, none of these fics could have been written. Thanks to her, Haruka and Michiru exist as the most perfect lesbian anime couple ever. For many hours of good, entertaining company, I'd like to thank Asami Yuhka and Takagi Nao for their perfect interpretation of Haruka and Michiru on stage. For music to write to, I'd like to thank the three Sera Myu stages in general for having kept the dreams and stories alive for more than ten years. Oh, this is one of these "introduce yourself" moments, ne? Well, let's be frank, shall we? I'm rot at things like this. I'm completely rubbish at picking out what people need to know about me and what they don't need to know about me. So, since I've started, you'll get the whole package. I hope you have a day or two to read through this. If not, I'll highlight the important parts. Fangirling is a relatively new thing to me. I started out as a Harry Potter fangirl almost two years ago and I'm still active in that fandom from time to time. In the moment, however, the upcoming date for the seventh book's release is killing all my muses, which means I turn my attention and inspiration elsewhere. Leading to this profile, which is my anime-only profile on fanfiction.net. Anime-fans, please, don't hate me for what I'm about to say. Less than a year ago, I hated everything related to manga and anime. I didn't understand the drawing style, least of all the appeal of it (mostly due to the fact that I believed that when you've laid eyes on Yu-Gi-Oh, you've seen what there's too see about manga) and I found animes to be generally overdramatic and sappy. This has changed. A lot. I'm not exactly sure how it started. I think it was probably because many of my friend at LiveJournal were anime-fans - yaoi, mostly. You can't enter an Harry/Draco community without getting anime icons thrown in your face, and so my curiosity grew. The first yaoi anime I watched was Ai no Kusabi which is not the most gentle place to start, but hey, I've got thick skin. I still love this OVA, despite it being yaoi, which I normally avoid. The universe and the story are elements that fascinate me greatly. However, beginning as I was to be swallowed up by femslash in the Harry Potter department, made me open my eyes to the glory of yuri. I watched episodes from all the yuri classics, such as Strawberry Panic!, Revolutionary Girl Utena (I swear, my girlfriend looks just like Anshi, minus purple hair - no, really), Simoun, Read or Die (OVA), Maria-sama ga Miteru and finally I stumbled upon Kannazuki no Miko which is still my favourite yuri anime. You'll probably find fanfiction from KnM below. Sailor Moon is another story. Of course I knew about Haruka and Michiru, you can't search high and low for yuri and not find anything concerning these two. Nevertheless, I had not delved into the world of SM due to the fact that I believed it to be childish and boring. To be honest, I haven't watched all the Sailor Moon metaseries. I've watched Sailor Moon Super and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars and will probably watch the rest of the metaseries at some other time, but in the moment it's only Haruka and Michiru and the relationship they share which truly interests me. And my, it does. The dynamics of their relationship speak to me on an entirely different level than that of Chikane and Himeko in KnM. They actually have a relationship that works and is equal to a heterosexual relationship in every way a lesbian relationship can and should be. I've never encountered a portrait of my own love that I felt I could relate to as I can with Tenoh Haruka and Kaioh Michiru. Other Sailor Moon pairings I find interesting are Haruka/Usagi and Haruka/Seiya (female). Mostly everything that has to do with Haruka, because she is one unique and very beautiful character. I love Chikane and her darkness, but I simply admire Haruka's personality and portrayal in the anime. In the moment, however, I've watched my fascination shift from Haruka to Michiru, leading to a lot of Michiru-centred writing. I am not sure what it is in Michiru that intrigues me; maybe it's her voice, her secretive ways or her teasing smile. Maybe it's her beauty or her stubbornness or how dedicated she is to Haruka. Maybe it's that she manages to be soft and hard at the same time - silk wrapped in steel. Maybe it's just her. No matter what, in the moment I read/write any yuri pairing that contains Michiru, most notably - of course - the canon Haruka/Michiru pairing, because no one makes Michiru shine as Haruka does. Plus, loves: Ogata Megumi, Sera Myu, Asami Yuhka, Takagi Nao, Ono Hikari, KOTOKO, Katsuki Masako. Yes. I have a huge crush on Haruka and Michiru's seiyu and an even bigger crush on Sailor Neptune's 4th and Sailor Uranus' 2nd actresses from the SeraMyu. Ogata Megumi is in a league of her own, closely followed by Katsuki Masako, but both the last mentioned ladies rock my world. Especially Yuhka. She is, in one word, stunning. One lady, however, rocks my world even more. My girlfriend. K - you know I love you more than anything and you bear with my obsessions and crazy rants like no one else does. Thank you. I think that's what I've got to say for now, but hey - I will probably return with a lot of other crazy rants later on, so don't feel too safe out there. If anyone should be interested in finding my other fanfictions, you can find most of my stuff on my LJ. LiveJournal - username: animimares (which reminds me of the story behind my name here on - daughterofmars... no, it's not Sailor Moon related, but rather a translation/interpretation of the words "animi mares" of which my LJ username is made. animi mares is a Latin phrase meaning spirit of man or spirit of warrior (mars). I'm a lesbian and have always been interested in the ancient view on homosexuality. I read somewhere that the cro magnon (early draft of homo sapiens) probably viewed a homosexual as a two-spirited individual who had the body of one sex, but the desires of the other. Therefore in their eyes I must be a woman in body, but a man in spirit... hence the name). That was all. |
