![]() Author has written 7 stories for Naruto, Torchwood, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, Bleach, and Glee. Hi, I'm Healthy Obsession! I'm an eighteen-year-old girl from North London and I've been writing for most of my life. I've been on this site for around two years now and have met some seriously talented writers. All the best ones I found are on my Fave Authors list, so please, check them out! I should be in Uni, but I'm not, so I've got plenty of time to write. However, I participate in two RP forums, as well as writing original fiction, which you can see on my dA page. Yes, it's a shameless plug, but a honest one. The name Healthy Obsession comes from a conversation I had with one of my mates. She said that I read too much yaoi, and I said that I had a healthy obsession with the boys. Hence the name was born. I write for a variety of fandoms, and it's usually whatever one I'm currently obsessing about that gets written the most. Notes About Fandoms: Yu-Gi-Oh and Yu-Gi-Oh GX: I watched the dubbed anime and have never read the manga nor seen the subbed episodes, so I use the dub names and I am not likely to change that habit. If you can live with the fact that I will refer to Joey instead of Jounochi and Zane instead of Kaiser, we will get along fine. Naruto: I loved Uchiha Sasuke for a very long time, right up until the whole trying-to-kill-Karin-and-Sakura thing. It's not that I particularly like either of those characters, but Karin especially, was just trying to help and he tried to kill her. That's a big no-no from where I stand. So, I either deny that the Uchiha massacre ever happened or I bring Sasuke home after he's killed Itachi. Torchwood: Season 3? What season 3? For the sake of my sanity, I deny that CoE ever happened. Janto is endgame. Nuff said. Harry Potter: Goddammit, Remus and Sirius live! And I will say this, though I do seem to be in the minority, I liked the epilogue at the end of Book 7. I'm glad the main three got a happy ending, which I am a bit of a sucker for. However, disregarding that epilogue is always entertaining, especially when it comes to Draco/Harry. I am so in love with that pairing I don't even know where to begin. Glee: Yes, I'm a gleek, and I'm also a Kurtsie. Badly. Since Season 1, Acafellas episode. I love him to bits, and to begin with, just shipped him with Puck, because Kurt deserved to be happy. Then I found out about Sam, and turned into a Sam/Kurt shipper. Then I found out about Blaine, and became a Klaine shipper, and as of March 15th 2011, I don't think I'll ever be able to stop shipping Klaine. I totally support Quinn and Sam, and Mike and Tina. I think Puck and Lauren are hilarious. Not a big Artie/Brittany fan. When my mind goes naughty, slashy places, I enjoy Sam/Puck so, so much. I also want to kill Karofsky in the most painful, drawn-out way possible, and nothing that happens on the show, even if Kurt forgives him and Karofsky comes out and all is well, will make me forgive him. Kingdom Hearts: All that can be said here is that Jediempress, who is an amazing, talented writer, writes my canon for Kingdom Hearts. I love the universe she has created, and the way she ties in the Final Fantasy in with Kingdom Hearts is nothing short of genius. Comics: I'm a Marvel girl, born and bred. I read most of them on and off, though my favourites are Young Avengers (Billy/Teddy canon ftw!) and the Runaways. I think Civil War was brilliant, and I loved Ironman all the way through it. That's all the notes I can think of for now. I'll add to it as I go. Now, as you can probably see, the majority of my writing and my fave stories are yaoi. I am a huge yaoi fan and that is pretty much all I will write as my main pairing. However, I am not one of those people who goes 'Het Is Ew' and refuses to have a single straight character in the fics I read and write. Quite frankly, I think that's just as unrealistic as having all straight people. I believe in a balance, and while I may adore yaoi with a passion, the reason I write fanfiction is because I can see the potential for there to be more yaoi that there actually is. I do not turn them all gay. That's not fair on the girls, and as I am a girl, I would like to think that there are at least some men who are straight. We're kinda stuffed if not. I mean with things like Naruto and Bleach, when there's such a huge amount of characters, and most of them are male, none of which are in confirmed relationships, the potential for gay pairings goes through the roof and I love to play with the possibilities. With things like Torchwood and Glee, with a relatively smaller cast, it's a little harder. I mostly stick to canon with a few tweaks or go completely AU in those cases. So yeah, this is me. I hope you like what you find and if you did like something, I would love to hear from you, in a review or even just a PM. I love to talk about ideas and theories and if you get me going, I am a rabid fangirl, so drop me a note anytime you like. Also, if you want to request something, please do and I promise to get back to you, even if I don't actually write it. |
