Update 9/16: I was really hoping to keep writing after January, and I did, to a point, but it's been harder than I expected. I still haven't rewatched the movie. So while I have a couple of stories I really want to finish and some old pieces to clean up and publish, writing for Labyrinth is going to be sporadic at best, though I really miss the fandom.

That's also because I have been sucked in pretty completely to Star Wars, specifically Reylo (and there are some familiar faces around that ship). I haven't crossposted those works, but I have a couple posted so far at ao3, where my SW pseud is thewayofthetrashcompactor

It's been a hard month. I don't think any of us were expecting to lose Bowie so soon, right when everyone was excited about his new work. I'm still not over it, I don't think it's a loss that's ever going to really go away. The Labyrinth fandom has been amazing though, as always. It's not quite the same space as it was, to me, there's a bittersweet element that's hard to ignore, but I am so thankful for the fandom and the continued creation by everyone in it.

My goal this month was to finish an angsty fic I've been working on in which Sarah and Jareth don't even meet until about a third of the way through. Instead, my brain has rebelled and I'm writing cracky fluff in which they're married. Augh. Hopefully that will be posted in the week leading up to Valentine's, it's all pretty short. After that, I'm hoping to take part in a Star Wars Big Bang that will keep me occupied through spring, though I still want to get some old bits and pieces organized somewhere. Progress is, as always, much slower than I would like.

So, current goals:

1. Valentine's shorts

2. Clean up and post a couple of challenge responses from the labyfic livejournal and some other shorts

3. Finish Winter-themed short story started last January and post sometime this season

4. Big Bang fic

5. Work on fairytale fic (long-term)

6. Review the amazing stories I've read on here (ongoing, trying hard to get back into the habit)
