![]() Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, Twilight, Chess, and Clare B. Dunkle. Hi, I'm ZeeZee22. I'm addicted to present tense and I tend to suffer from comma overuse. This account was started out of an argument with "J" (it went something like this) J: There is no such thing as good fanfic- it's the lowest form of writing. If someone could write well, they would write ORIGINAL stories. ME: You're wrong. Help me prove my point! I am searching fanfic, amassing a case study (see list of favorites) of fanfics from the Twilight series, the Animorphs series, the Harry Potter series and (recently added) Chess (a musical). Send me a message about well-written (or generally awesome) fanfictions that you know about! About my Stories: Standing Alone: This story is set post-Breaking Dawn. Leah, who swore never to get involved in the fate of the world again, is being sucked right back up. A story about moral choices and what we would do to save the ones we love. This one has been floating in my mind for a while, and it's really nice to finally put it down on paper. In-progress. The King's Wives Chronicles: I absolutely love the Hollow Kingdom trilogy (which everyone should read). While it seems like a romance at first, it actually raises some really interesting questions. How would people under different circumstances react to being captured? Kate starts a King's Wives Chronicles, and it seemed like the best medium to tell the story through. In-progress. Subconscious Truths: After discussing Anatoly/Svetlana, I wondered whether Anatoly ever felt any guilt about abandoning his family in the USSR. Ten minutes (and a lot of beta-ing) later, this was the result. Complete. The Sideways Path: After The Wineglass got me obsessed with Chess, I realized that out of all the characters, Viigand gets the smallest backstory (none). I started wondering how Viigand felt during the championships, and this was born. On hiatus. Chain Reaction: Imprinting, well, I've always felt a bit awkward about it. After re-reading the Twilight books, I still didn't understand how it worked out in the end. As far as I could tell, the imprinting became a way to control and influence someone. So I started thinking about what an true independent person would do, and this was born. Rachel makes a choice that ends up revealing the not so pleasant side of imprinting. However, just because Kim and Emily don't make the same choice doesn't mean they're weak, foolish people. In both of their cases, there are other factors that tie them down. Complete. Harry Potter Fanfiction Anonymous: I love parodies, and after viewing so many horrible DracoGinny fics, I knew it was my destiny to write this. Strangely enough, my favorite part was writing the Anonymous scenes- I loved Helen's character. Eventually, I'll come back to this and add some more chapters, but as of now it is complete. Complete. Seeing Threstrals: I actually thought the prose in this one was inferior to Rebuilding the World, but in the end more people liked it. Luna was fun to write. Complete. Rebuilding the World: This was my first story, and it basically came to me after I watched a soccer game. I like it, but I'll probably eventually vet it for facts soon. I really think Dean is an under explored character that has so much potential. Complete. -ZeeZee22 |
