Emma / Up-Past-Midnight

You may call me Emma. Typical, brunette (with matching eyes), fifteen-year-old, skateboard-down-the-street Emma. But just Emma will suffice nicely, thank you. I was going try out UPM (short for Up-Past-Midnight), but that sounds like some sort of urinary disease or ultrasound mechanism. So.

Anyway...

I live in Las Vegas, and here, I enjoy skateboarding, the hot summer sun, and though I miss the San Jose Beach (homeland), I make up for it by digging holes in the desert with my friends and starting fires on winter evenings. Yeah, I'm a bad-ass troublemaker. I love to write to escape worldly limitations. The human race gets too absurd sometimes, and being on this site lets a lot out. My brother, in the room next to mine, really annoys the frick outta me, but he and I get along, and we started writing together. Not that anybody cares.

You will see in my pairings that I have a mix of straight, lesbian, and gay relationships. Might I add that I am a heterosexual young lady myself. I, though, was raised not to see relationships as a boy and a boy, or a girl and a girl, etc. I grew up with two gay activist parents who taught me not to know genders when it came to love, and I judge relationships on how cute they are together, not because they're two girls, or two boys, or whatnot. In real life, I prefer a boyfriend, but that doesn't mean if a girl is nice that I wouldn't consider liking her. This does not make me wrong. This makes me human. So if you can't deal with homosexual pairings, then leave now. Thank you.

I, though, will not always write slash. Life's not always about romance and fluffy feelings. Sometimes it's about friendship, or the strength of family, or yadda yadda, things like that. There's a happy life outside the fences of slash pairings, and there's a happy life within the fences as well. If you don't believe in slash, good for you. If you do, then good for you! It's your life to live, and this one is mine. I'll be writing slash when I feel. This shouldn't change your opinion on me, though, for I am a good person, really.

I suffer FCMD, or Favorite Character Mutilation Disorder, wherein authors mangle, destroy, emotionally annihilate, disease, or mentally/physically hurt their favorite character.
