Author has written 28 stories for Pokémon.

Hey y'all!

ShinyGrowlithe12 here. I've been wanting to write my own Pokemon fanfictions for over 10 years now but have never gotten around to it. I was usually too busy with life to make the commitment, but now that COVID-19 has me stuck inside (I don't have it), I've been chugging out a lot of ideas, especially for stories I wish were on here. Anyway, despite being a college graduate, I suck at writing. I majored in technology. Just try to enjoy the stories. If you don't like 'em, just leave. :) I'm pretty bored throughout my days and day dream a lot, so some of these stories are from many years of well-thoughout daydreams.

Anyway, my favorite thing ever is Pokemon. I love pokeshipping, contestshipping, ikarishipping, and oldrivalshipping. I don't really care for Brock's love life, so I usually just pair him up with the other rock type gym leader, Roxanne from Hoenn. Also, I was a broke kid and never had cable, so once pokemon was taken off of the Saturday morning cartoons, I never watched it again. I only got up to Ash in the Hoenn league with May and Max, and even then, I think he had like 6 badges or something. I grew to like Dawn after liking the relationship she can have with the stoic Paul. I only know their personalities from the many Ikarishipping fanfics I've read.

Furthermore, I'm a strong Pokeshipper, so sorry Amourshippers. But don't worry, I'll never make Serena out to be a bad person since we all know Ash would never like someone like that. Since I've never seen an episode of Pokemon with Serena in it, I don't know her personality well enough to ever put her in my stories. It wouldn't be fair to her character if I threw her in just to cause some drama. She may be mentioned a lil here and there, but I doubt you'll ever see her in one of my stories. And I also don't want to watch episodes with her because I'm a strong Pokeshipper, so it'll only pain me to see Amourshipping.

Okay. That's it from me. I only created this account to upload my stories.

See ya!

UPDATE: Got a job, so won't be able to fully focus on these stories anymore. :( Will be updating less. 4/31/2020

Most of my stories are family and next-generation focused because I love family and the whole adult aspect of the Pokemon characters.

Having too much fun this summer, so my updates have slowed. I'll be more consistent in the fall. :D Enjoy your summers, everyone! 7/6/2020

Stories I'm Working On:

What Makes a Family: Contestshipping

While May Maple is enjoying her life in Rustboro City as a coordinator teacher, she gets a phone call from a mysterious woman who tells her to visit the Petalburg City orphanage. Giving in to her curiosity, May chooses to finally visit the orphanage where she also plans to visit Professor Birch. It is there that she learns there is a little boy in the orphanage who her childhood friend Brenden fathered before dying a few weeks ago. May has no idea what is going on, but she ends up adopting this boy and moving to Johto where she happens to run into her old rival Drew Hayden.

Since May abruptly left Hoenn, her relationship with her family is strained, and eventually, Max shows up to give her a piece of his mind. This little boy is nothing to May, so she needs to come back home to Petalburg, but May won't have any of it. She considers this boy her family because Brenden did too; therefore, she will honor her childhood friend in raising him, even if everyone tells her not to. Fortunately, Drew ends up helping her with this feat, causing old feelings to resurface as the two spend more time together around Brenden's son.

Things Money Can't Buy: Contestshipping

May Maple's family died in a car accident when she was 5 years old, and she was the only survivor. Without any relatives, she was sent to the orphanage. After years of being in and out of foster care, May grew cold to the world. She'd purposely be mean and disgusting whenever potential adopters would come around just so that she wouldn't get hurt from the relationship not working out.

Now that she is 20 years old, she's chosen to stay at the orphanage to work there. Without a college degree, she feels like this is the best job for her as well as the most rewarding. She feels for the orphans and tries her best to make sure they never feel the emptiness she felt growing up.

At 22 years old, Drew Hayden has a long rap sheet. He is the heir to the Hayden fortune, but with money and power, he's grown arrogant. He tests the boundaries of the law, which causes Hayden Corporation to look bad in the public eye. Despite being very capable of taking over the business, Drew's personal mistakes make his family question handing the business to him.

After his most recent scandal of drunk driving and drugs where he narrowly manages to avoid injuring a child, Hayden Corporation's stock prices have dropped dramatically. The public relations expert suggests for Drew to do some community service; thus, showing he's possibly changing for the better and cares about the community. Of course, Drew is spoiled, so he disagrees, but his parents force him to do it, else he won't inherit the company. The public relations expert decides to send Drew to the local orphanage, and the courts have agreed to a year of community service there for him.

While begrudgingly at the orphanage, he leaves a bad first impression on May. It's bad enough where she contacts the courts about his behavior. Fortunately, Drew's public relations team manages to keep him volunteering at the orphanage. After this near mishap, Drew's parents remind him of why he is at the orphanage, so Drew actually has to try and be nice because his money can't buy his way through May.

Pokemon Leaders Academy: Pokeshipping, Contestshipping, Oldrivalshipping, Ikarishipping HIATUS

Professor Oak, Ivy, Elm, Birch, and Rowan gather their top Pokemon trainers for 2 years of learning as the trainers get used to their new jobs.

Ash Ketchum (21) is the new Kanto Champion, Misty Waterflower (21) is officially the Cerulean City gym leader now, Gary Oak (21) is the new Viridian City gym leader, Leaf Green (21) is the new Johto Champion, Drew Hayden (21) is the new Hoenn Top Coordinator, May Maple (19) is the new Johto Top Coordinator, Paul Shinji (20) is the new Sinnoh Champion, and Dawn Berlitz (18) is the Sinnoh Top Coordinator.

As these young adults are forced to attend this educational program on Two Island of the Sevii Islands. They will learn about the history of Pokemon and the regions as well as how to be public figures now that they have this responsibility. They will also constantly train so that they are equipped to keep their titles at the end of the tournament season. (Top Coordinators now compete with a new challenger where they have to defend their title).

While they're cooped up on the Two Island dormitories, emotions rise as the students start realizing their feelings for each other. Drama ensues when other students become interested too, and the stresses of their new professional positions will get to them. Friendships and love will be tested, but no one said holding these positions were going to be easy.

Think of it like Pokemon high school, except that everyone is older. So like dramatic Pokemon College. This is my attempt at including all of my favorite shippings as well as keeping it in the Pokemon world. Everyone new to a position has to attend this year of training, and they are all dismissed at the end of the academic year to compete with their challengers. Since gym leaders need to be at their gyms to battle challengers, then gym leaders go through this academic program 2 years prior to their expected start date. For Top Coordinators and Champions, if they win their first year, then they return for their second year of schooling. If they lose, then they use their second year to mentor their replacements.

For the sake of drama, some characters may be OOC:

Ash: Serena Yvonne (20) will be the Top Coordinator of Kanto. I know she's from Kalos, but for simplicity, she's the only character past the Sinnoh journey that I will include. As I was trying to find a good love interest for Ash...I know Serena is the best option. I don't want to make her OOC (like I said in my bio), but we'll see. Maybe I won't make her too OOC.

Misty: Rudy Ziggy (23) retaking over Trovita Island gym after he had passed it on to his sister who can no longer be the gym leader anymore, so Rudy has to attend the schooling all over again. Might change it to Red because I always liked the relationship between Red and Misty in the Manga, although short. I'm not a fan of Rudy, so I'd rather write about someone I do see Misty with. We'll see.

Gary: Lyra Kotone (20) is the new Mahogany Town gym leader once Pryce retires.

Leaf: Silver Sakaki (21) is the new third Elite Four member once Agatha retires. He and Leaf have also known each other since childhood when she moved from Pallet Town to New Bark Town.

Drew: Brianna Wakana (19) is the previous Johto Top Coordinator spending her second year of schooling as a mentor to May, but Brianna has a huge fangirly crush on Drew.

May: Brenden Birch (19) is the Hoenn Champion and a childhood friend of May's.

Paul: Ursula Urara (18) is the previous Kanto Top Coordinator who will be spending her second year of schooling as a mentor to Serena. While Ursula initially doesn't care for Paul, she sees that her rival Dawn does. As Ursula decides to get close to Paul to make Dawn jealous, she starts falling for him too.

Dawn: Kenny Kengo (18) is the previous Sinnoh Top Coordinator spending his second year of schooling as a mentor to Dawn who is also his childhood friend.

My Word 2: Friendship/Adventure

Follow Dillon Ketchum as he and his sister, Amy, explore Johto. Along the way, they will make friends and rivals while Dillon struggles with the loneliness he feels without his Kanto friends. Dillon's and Amy's new traveling partner is crushing hard on Dillon, and Dillon is starting to become forgetful towards his Kanto friends. Romeo Hayden despises Dillon, thus causing him to not think highly of Dillon's coordinator traveling partner. As these teens face dramatic situations while their parents try to prevent a repeat of the past, there will be many strianed and broken relationships.

Romeo Hayden (Drew's and May's son) is a coordinator rival of Dillon's and Amy's traveling partner.

Operation: Family Reunion: Pokeshipping

Ash Ketchum and Misty Waterflower are divorced parents to 9 year old Ariel Ketchum. Ariel's dream is to have both of her parents send her off on her Pokemon journey next year. However, Ash and Misty can't stand each other after their divorce 5 years ago, so they haven't seen the other since the divorce hearing. Both parents drop off Ariel with Delia Ketchum as the middle person so that they don't have to see one another, and this saddens Ariel. While her parents love her dearly, she wishes they would love each other just as much again.

With the help of her childhood friends, Jace (9) and Lauren (5) Oak, Ariel hopes to reunite her parents and make them fall in love again. To prevent suspicion, she needs to be careful of what she says around her parents as well as what she does because if either one realizes that they might see the other, they will not trust Ariel's words anymore. The task is difficult because both of her parents are very stubborn, but when good old Uncle Brock steps in, Ariel feels like her team to get her parents back together cannot fail!

Future Stories

"Ghosts" of Traveling Partners Past: Pokeshipping

Will probably be a Christmas one-shot if I ever get around to writing it.

As Ash is traveling through Kalos, he has a very weird dream one night after he had danced with Serena. First, May shows up in his dream, then Tracey, and then Brock. They claim to be ghosts of his previous traveling partners even though May, Tracey, and Brock are still very much alive. All three teach him a different lesson, which leads to his first ever traveling partner, Misty. Why are they telling him this now? And what does it all mean?

10 Years On Time: Ikarishipping

After a drunken night at the Sinnoh Pokemon League celebration, Dawn Berlitz ends up pregnant. She has a daughter who, like Dawn, grows up without knowing her father. When Aria goes off on her Pokemon journey at the age of 10, she does so in hopes of finding her father. With the help of her childhood friend, Chase Koki (Lucas's 10 year old son), Aria seeks answers to her questions her mother likes to avoid.

Chase lost his mother (OC) at a young age, and she was also another mother figure to Aria. Due to this, Chase wants to help his friend find her other parent. Even Lucas tries to convince Dawn to tell Aria about her father, but no one knows who the father of her child is except for Dawn.

Aria asks her mother's many friends once in their cities. Eventually, when she arrives in Veilstone City, she believes a purple haired breeder must be her father. They share the same hair color and passion for battling. Plus, the gym leader says they were once friends with her mother, but then why is the gym leader married to this breeder? Did her mother and Maylene have a falling out over Reggie? That would explain why Aria never heard about them before.

Unexpectantly, while she's at the Shinji house learning about her mother, another man enters the house to visit. Apparently, his nieces managed to convince him to drop by, but he's very cold to Aria and Chase. Reggie apologizes for this man because the man doesn't care for most people, which irks Aria. However, Chase comes to the realization that this new man is the Sinnoh Champion, Paul Shinji.

Reggie confirms that he and Champion Paul are brothers, causing Aria to now question this new man as her father. Although, can this cold person really be her father? She doubts he'd ever interact with someone like her bubbly mother. Plus, her mom could never stand this stoic mean man.

When the man ends up joining them for dinner, Reggie mentions how Aria is the daughter of Dawn. This surprises Aria because she thought Paul and her mother wouldn't know each other enough for Reggie to bring her up. Once Paul doesn't react to Reggie's statement, it confirms to Aria that her mother and this man must not have been friends; therefore, Paul cannot be her father. She finds herself relieved since he's scary, and she doesn't want him to be her father. When Paul finds out Aria's birthday, though, the Sinnoh Champion does his own investigation on Aria Hikari Berlitz's father.

My Word 3 Friendship/Adventure

After a nasty friendship breakup with Aurora and Granite, Dillon Ketchum, is now in Hoenn where he travels alone for the first time. Eventually, he runs into his cousin who ends up traveling with him. Rose Hayden (the daughter of Drew and May Hayden) and a new friend tag along with Dillon. Unlike her family, Rose wants to be a pokemon trainer, so Dillon helps her with her dream. Although, Rose hasn't figured out how to break the news to her family, especially her parents. Moreover, trouble for the Lightfield family stirs as their father returns and no one is sure of his intentions. Is this it for the Kanto Trio, or will trouble bring them back together again?

Connor Shinji (Paul's and Dawn's son) is Dillon's rival. Dillon also visits Granite in Rustboro. Connor despises Dillon for accomplishing more than him, but Connor somehow becomes interested in Dillon's nerdy traveling partner.

My Word 4: Romance/Adventure

In the final installment of the My Word series, Dillon Ketchum is in Sinnoh with all of his friends and relatives. However, not all is well when Team Rocket works together with Team Galactic to constantly chase down Dillon and his friends. Moreover, Dillon still has bad blood with some of his cousins due to his time as a delinquent, such as Connor Shinji and Romeo Hayden. Will the whole family finally make up by the end of their journeys?

Allie Shinji is 15 and can finally leave for her journey where she meets up with Duke, like they had promised years ago. However, Allie's father thinks she's traveling alone because he would never allow her to travel with a boy that's not related to her. When Allie starts developing feelings for Duke, though, it complicates things with the two and the Shinji parents.

Furthermore, Aurora manages to find a sub for her gym, so she can join Dillon, and even Granite comes back somehow. After everything they've gone through, Dillon is happy to have his original friends with him again. With Sinnoh being the last region for him to travel, Dillon wouldn't spend his last journey with any other traveling group. Follow the Kanto Trio as they're back together for one final adventure! (This time, they have the whole tournament season rather than 7 months of it, like when they traveled around Kanto)

Paul is the Sinnoh Champion. Connor Shinji will be traveling with Leia. Romeo Hayden will be traveling with Jane Kenta (Jimmy's and Marina's daughter). Amy Ketchum will be traveling with Derek. Rose Hayden will be traveling with Luke. Kaz Oak will be traveling with Mira.

I've planned the My Word series for years now, even though it's not something I would read, myself. But I hope to publish all of it out. :)
