Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter. Hey, I'm currently writing a novel-lenght fic on Harry Potter called, 'The Edge of Darkness Series'. The first part is titled, 'Emerged From Sorrow'. I plan to have action, blossoming canon romances, and a plot that hopefully will suffice as pretty original. I'm really excited to write, as this is my first story that I have ever written down. Hopefully, my lack of experience will be countered by my drive to learn and improve upon my writing. If your just starting out this story, trust me, I believe it gets much better as the chapters increase. I wince to look back now. I go to a university in the U.S--Florida (yay! Disney world and universal _)-- attempting a double major in Creative Writing and Psychology. My family says I'm young but have an old soul. I was born in 1989, you do the math. Ask me about a movie out and I'll tell you all about the book it was based on. :) I don't care for social labels, I dress in what I happen to find comfortable and to my taste, and befriend anyone who's a decent human being. I'm overly sarcastic, though I might come off as shy based on the fact that I absorb information in my own little world where miniature monkeys dressed in full war garb stab fluff to death continuously, but it's really quite a challenge to shut me up once I start going. Don't try to win a debate with me; it will not work. Ever. I'm Puerto Rican, though I speak perfect English (probably :D), it influences how much research I have to do on the cultural level just to make sure that I can include accurate details. For example, I must research foods and activities a family that is out of my cultural influence might eat or do, since I mostly know how to cook Latin dishes and sing in trullas. It's really strange trying to learn about the tiniest little differences between families under a different culture than you are. Though I find that writing HP fanfiction somewhat puts most on level ground, as it is set on the other side of the world. I won't even go into how long I abused search engines just to get a general idea on how people in the UK spoke and lived. Fascinating stuff that, though I may be biased as I'm slightly obsessed with history as well. Let's see what else...I'm a dog person, I try to delve into the characters' personalities quite deeply. I'd trade my '95 Ford for a bag of M&M's, and I hate bashing of main characters. It gets old. There's another, more productive way, to portray a character you dislike. Instead of telling readers why they should hate them, exploit their canon flaws, steer us to look at their faults and let us see them act on it--convince readers to see it your way. Anyway, I have pretty good grammar but I'm new to writing fanfiction so bear with it as I learn. I don't particularly care for pages upon pages of fluff, I believe I can only tolerate a few short chapters without creating horrible conflicts in my imagination. I'm a terrible angst addict, I'm afraid. I find it much more entertaining. I admire when authors refresh me with reality, with the natural fluctuations in happiness and emotions. Tienes alguna pregunta? (Have any questions?) Just drop me a word in a review and I'll answer it as fast as I can. Canon pairings: H/G, Hr/R, RL/NT...etc. Other account name 4 slash(I can be so disorganized it makes my life easier to do it this way. lol.): hand2sorrow (though I've yet to post any stories up yet as I'm busy with this one for now. I usually write reviews for slash with this primary account however--it's nearer to the top of the scroll list. :P) |
