My screen-name--HelenaHermione--comes from Helena (both the teenage girl in 'Mirrormask' and the character in Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'--characters I have identified with in the past) and Hermione, as in 'Granger'. (Also for the same reason; the brain, the creator/dreamer, and the woman unlucky in love.)

Years ago, I learned about on IMDb while posting my POTC 3 fanfic on that board and now it's up here as 'Needs and Wants'. For the most part, though, I have dealt mainly with Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Once Upon A Time stories. I'm not 'prolific' and I have abandoned fanfics in the past, but I hope to remedy that a little bit.

I am interested in all sorts of books, TV shows, movies and even some comic books. I saw Firefly when it first aired, though it wasn't until 2009 that I saw the first few episodes of Buffy. I did not get into Lord of the Rings until after I saw the movies, and I did not read The Hobbit until just before An Unexpected Journey hit the movie screens. I did, however, read a lot of Lloyd Alexander when I was young. I saw Doctor Who when it first aired on SciF channeli in Summer 2006. I've been catching up on old Who and even read some of the BBC and Virgin New Adventures books for Seven/Eight as well as read some of the Doctor Who Magazine comics before subscribing to that. When I was young, I read Bone's first part when it was published in Disney Adventures magazines, but I did not read the full adventure until 2005. I did not start reading Watchmen or Sandman until 2006/2007, and more recently, I got into The Unwritten and Fables pretty late. That is some general stuff about me...
