Hey there! You can call me Pat, I'm a guy in the eastern United States, and this is an account I made to start posting my early attempts at writing fics.

I've always had an interest in writing fanfiction, probably dating back to my absolutely traumatic experiences with a certain major character death in Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War (that will go unspoiled, in case by any chance somebody here hasn't played the game, which I highly recommend), and I've even dabbled a little bit privately, but I've never felt the confidence to post anything. Partially because I'm not confident in myself in the first place, and partially because there is some absolutely incredible fan content out there for everything under the sun that I'm not sure I can live up to - the best example I can point to is Faust's jawdroppingly incredible Here We Go Again, a complete (and sane) rewrite of GATE: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri, which is in fact so good that the near-universal consensus among people who've read it is that it is the true canon and the original is just a bad Japanese nationalist wankfic.

Anyway, my hesitation has gone away with the arrival of Doki Doki Literature Club! The game has singlehandedly ruined my life and my emotional state, and I've been desperate for more content. So I finally decided to be the change I wanted to see in the world, so to speak, and I'm dipping my toe into the world of posting fanfic.

As such, literally any feedback is welcome. Although I'd prefer if y'all'd be nice about it. I'm looking for inspiration to continue writing and to improve.

Obviously, any fic that I post, DDLC or otherwise, is going to have the potential for spoilers.

Like, for example, the Ace Combat story I'm also working on alongside it, and an additional one besides that will come out when the stars align and the time is right.

Lastly, general disclaimer, even though we're long past the era of Anne Rice types copyright claiming everything in sight: I own absolutely fucking nothing.
