![]() Author has written 1 story for Twilight. Hey everyone! First off, I appreciate you taking the time to click on my profile and read it. (These days I feel like we're all saying the same thing.) I usually don't say much on my secondary accounts but since I'll be going back and forth between them, I felt I should probably say something to make sure you all are aware of this fact. Really, the only reason I put this on my profile is because of the high interest on my primary account. So, it felt like a decent thing to keep my readers aware of what's going on with my stories. Hijacked Hijacked has been updated as one of my priority stories and therefore moved to my primary account. If you wish to continue tracking its progress, find Gothic Rain. About Me My name: I actually don't like my name and have been working on a new one to officially change it, so even if I didn't care about my privacy, I wouldn't say it anyway. Besides, being unknown is much more enjoyable. To keep it simple, you may call me Gothic Rain which is the name I go by on my primary account, or you may call me Phoenix. My race: I'm Norwegian. Although the mixed blood has been washing out a lot of the characteristics between my mother and father, I've been told I've inherited the most of my family's Norwegian characteristics in my generation. From the nose to the jaw, to my feet of all things. I am hoping that I'll inherit the white hair over gray like my grandmother too, but I'll see in another two decades or so. I'm white, from what my grandmother says "no one is going to be tan in Alaska" and even though I am constantly working outside I remain that way. My blood is a bit mixed, but not in the way a lot of "exotic" people are. Just got some Whale, Norwegian being the most prominent, English, and a tad Navajo. Regardless of my race, I work to keep myself very aware of the many cultures of the world as to not offend a race of people I may co-exist with. Not to mention, you find truth in the past more accurately in knowing the history of every people better than just one. But that's a topic of conversation for another time. My sexuality: I am a woman and I am only into women. I have nothing against transgenders, gay men, pansexuals, straights, or whatever else is out there. I am against pedophiles, human predators, homophobes, and anyone with a religion that wants to murder people for their sexuality in cold blood. I'm a person with priorities. However, I am currently not looking for a relationship as (officially) I doubt I could commit when I'm still in college and wanting to get my life figured out before having a love-life. Not to mention, in my teenage years I had some pretty bad relationships with crazy women or girls I should've just remained friends with. Don't date as a teen unless you're sure about it (as I've met teen moms more adult than middle-aged adults) because a lot of people at that age are just figuring their shit out or goodness-forbid "experimenting." My age: Currently, I am 20 years old. Every since turning 17 the time has just flown by. I still look the same though. The only difference is that my facial features have finally revealed themselves and are no longer veiled with youthful baby fat. My vanity: I used to not care about my appearance in my teens but am now putting a little more effort into it for impression sakes. And to make a good impression on the single ladies out there, haha... I am on the relative short-side but I guess its sort of average for women, and I am an artificial red-head. I'm a bit on the thin-side, annoyingly, as I lost a lot of bulk in muscles ever since getting a serious injury but I am working to change that this year. My hair is short, thankfully, as it no longer gets in my way nor literally weighs me down. Favorite color: I don't really have one and stopped saying that I had one since I'm always changing my mind. The colors that stand out to me the most are, however, luminous blue that you'll see on some rocks in underground caves or glaciers, silver, and black of the night sky (as it brings out the significance of the other colors). Favorite music: I'm not really picky about the music I listen to. So long as the melody resonates with me and the lyrics aren't complete bullshit, I'll listen to it. To be more specific though, I like Ivan Torrent, Hans Zimmer (who doesn't?), John Dreamer, Julie Elven, Movie Scores, Phil Rey, R. Armando Morabito, Ryan Taubert, Thomas Bergensen, Two Steps From Hell, Audiomachine, Unlike Pluto, Chillstep, Tom Day, Jennifer Knapp, Eurielle, Marcelo Zarvos, Sappherios, Nocolai Patricio, Kanon Wakeshima, Anilah, Loreena McKennitt, Enya, 2WEI, Pentakill, Breaking Benjamin, 009 Sound System, Blue Stahli, Celldweller, DANGER, Goldpile, Infected Mushroom, Varien, The Glitch Mob, Jesper Kyd (Assassin's Creed Soundtrack), LEJ, Jeremy Soule (Oblivion Soundtrack), Pegboard Nerds, Lindsey Stirling, Pandora Hearts OST, Celtic Music, Rihanna, Nilili Mambo, Enimen, Imagine Dragons, Red, Alan Walker, Bebe Rexha, Barns Courtney, Ashes Remain, Demon Hunter, Dream on Dreamer, Digital Daggers, Empathetic, Hollow Point, Hollywood Undead, Indila, Kaleo, In The Silence, Khalid, Normani, Lana Del Rey, NF, Lauren Aquilina, Sia, Hidden Citizens, Our Last Night, Radioactive, Ruelle, Sickick, Shakira, Starset, Sleeping At Last, The Pretty Reckless, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Thousand Foot Krutch, Three Days Grace, You Me At Six, We As Human, Ursine Vulpine, Annaca, Young Guns, Lukasz Kapuscinski, Oh Hiroshima, Metallica, Apocalytpica, Paramore, and Adrian von Ziegler...to name a few. Favorite games: I'm a little outdated on my favorite games simply because I'm waiting on getting the PS4 slim and am, for now, stuck with my Xbox360, and while I mod other games on my computer, I just prefer having a controller in my hands over a keyboard. I love The Elder Scrolls games, Gears of War, Assassin's Creed, Dark Souls, Halo, Fallout, The Witcher 3, The Last of Us, Dark Souls, Dragon Age, Beyond Two Souls... etc. Hobbies: Spray painting canvases (since walls eventually fade), reading, writing, swimming, tree climbing, learning old languages, and dreaming. Likes: Women who do things they are passionate about and not women or people in general who do something just to prove they can. (EX: Mulan joins the army to save her father, not as a typical Disney princess who do things just to prove they're as good as men). The moment you separate yourself and your goals into a category of success are the moment you've lost. I also enjoy watching sunrises because they're mosquito free and dipping my hands in water. I also like the scent of smoke and Ed Hardy Perfume. Dislikes: Mosquitos, getting sick, getting injured, drunks, stagnancy, politics, hypocrisy, being interrupted while talking, terrible grammar, condescension (I've been humbly introduced to people younger than me that are wiser than yoda), people who have opinions just for the sake of having them, facades, people who follow logic over their heart, apathy... that sort of thing. Oh, and mushrooms. Personality: I know myself as a person better than I think a lot of people know themselves, and because of that I am a pretty calm person. My anger is in short bursts and I usually keep those moments to myself. I despise passive aggressiveness though and will become cold to anyone that projects that attitude to me. I am often the peacemaker in the aftermath of fights and will take being yelled at and accused of bullshit to my face with ease, until the moment things get violent, and I will walk away at that point. I am an intuitive/clairvoyant empath, which is not as simple as it sounds and it took me about two decades to not only figure that out but to accept it as a part of me. I am also an INTP, Gryffinpuff who prefers the company of Slytherins and a conversationalist at heart. I like philosophy and have a quote I follow every day, and I am a self-actualizing kind of person - meaning I am not the same person I was the day before. I seek change and am basically a protagonist's rapid growth of their character development in my own story. I crave companionship yet cannot bring myself to let anyone in, as I often see the emotional depth of someone (so in other words, I know what they feel like doing) but most times people act on their logical side (of what they think they should do), doing something completely different than what they're feeling - and in result I get hurt by it - because of this, I prefer company that keep it real and don't wear two faces. People who are honest despite all the pain and don't try to fake it with me. I have a lot of regrets yet I continue to live and move forward because I don't want to repeat the past. I like beginning new, creative things in my life and I believe that my own writing takes after my way of thinking and experience. Fears: Silence/Complete Sensory Deprivation. Seeing the sorry state my father is in. A certain expression people wear when furious at another person... it is like looking into their eyes and seeing an abyss of liquid rage and unforgiving fire; where all that person desires is destruction and you are the one they will break. My past mistakes coming back to haunt my future. Never changing. Losing my personal freedom of existence. That sort of thing. About My Writing A lot about my writing is covered on my primary account so in short, I'll just say I write character redemption stories or rewrite character dynamics of a canon story simply because I wasn't fond of the original or there were too many flaws to allow myself to be apart of the fanservice. I also write OCs every now and then, whether "story stealing" or new characters replacing the protagonist in a story. To prevent the chaos of "story stealing" I make the canonverse AU and restructure everything. I do what the maker of the world didn't, with more descriptive backgrounds, ignoring fanservice to work on the characters. Adding in new and improved character dynamics, subplots with the main plot, character growth, and realistic reactions to the story. I don't PG it nor do I Darkside it. I avoid Mary sues like the plague as well as Imprints, domestic abuse relationships, teen romance that makes my skin crawl, and OP main characters that steal the spotlight from the background characters. I also rewrite the character experience of semi-main characters I didn't like. More often than not female leads. People like Haruno Sakura from Naruto, Clare from Claymore, Clarke from the 100, and Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail. I don't write harems and really try to avoid story-centric ships in general, neither supporting nor bashing canon ships (except in the case of unhealthy relationships) and just focus on the protagonist's story. I dislike stories about fate or gods and prefer the "only human" aspect of characters just trying to live their life. The main reason for creating my secondary accounts (meaning yes, this isn't the only one) is because I'm constantly brainstorming new plot ideas when watching or reading something new and don't like to waste potential if I can help it. I keep them in storage until I can make use of them, and to prevent my primary account from being topped off, I created new accounts in order to store and sort through my new ideas better. I will even publish and update some stories I have no priority in maintaining a steady update schedule or ideal for the future. Stories with slow updates and low priorities. Whenever that changes, like the case with Hijacked, I move it to my primary account - Gothic Rain - and continue to update it there. I will notify the readers of this account of the change, and whatever happens from there - happens. Questions What does BAMF stand for? Every time I read a story with that tag I just guess it means Bad-Ass-Mother-Fucker but that seems a little out there... or am I right? Just Words "Don't love somebody for how beautiful they look... love somebody for how beautiful their soul is." "Every person is on their own level of understanding. Be a person that can change the way they think - and see all the levels." "Things that shouldn't exist have a reason to exist; the things we need to understand that we are allowed to have." "Don't be mad at people for being right... be mad that those are the choices you have left." "Never, ever, under any circumstances, build a relationship made of love out of lies." "does every relationship between a young man and a young woman have to be romantic? Maybe I just want to be your friend." When I'm stressed I feed my muse. Here's the result: |
