this fic is so beautiful and i honestly felt so immersed in the story, your writing is incredible and ive never felt so invested like this in a long time. i hope you come back and finish it, but please take your time because i know that writing can be difficult.

I'm from Poland, english isn't my language, so I'm sorry for eventual mistakes:) This is the first english fanfic I've ever commented. I read a lot of stories, but I thought that comments are just a lost time. You're an absolutely amazing writer. I cried. I feel really sorry for your family member, but maybe it's the reason why that story is that full of emotions and well writen. I read polish and english books (and fanfics ;)) all days, but I didn't find many histories that feel real and caused my emotions, that made my day. But yours? Definitely one of them. I know this fanfic is old, but I couldn't just leave it without a single word. The sytuation when someone who you love is dying is heart-broken, difficult, just unbelievable. I am ill, I have type I diabetes, but it's not that bad. At the beginning I was afraid of needles and injections, but actually I'm perfectly fine with them. I'm happy that I'm not dying and my family members are healthy. I'm in love with your text. I'm sad that in the end you didn't finish it. I don't know words that could describe how incredible is that story. I am sure that demanded very much work. I was suprised when I saw my language in your text. It brought me little happines. Polish is difficult as foreign language. I know that people who don't speak polish don't see the difference between "ś" and "sz" nor "ć" and "cz". They always say "sh" ("sz") and "ch" ("cz"). But it doesn't matter. I think I would do the same, so your try to explain pronunciaton "cześć" was accurate. I am happy that I read that work. Love and greetings from Poland

I remember reading this story years ago, totally forgot it didn't have an ending. I still enjoyed it the same way I enjoyed it years ago. I don't know if you are still checking your notifications, but your story spoke to me. I was actually diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, twice... I didn't die, and so I like to imagine that the Harry in this story didn't either.

I come back to read this story every now and then, and it captivates me every time. I hope you never remove it from this website. And I hope that you still think about it too. I would love to see how it ends

I begin by apologizing if my English is not perfect but I am not a native speaker, but I am Italian.
I decided to write to you not only because I fell in love with your story but also because I wanted to let you know that it has reached a lot of people in Italy and everyone loves it. I am very sad about your loss even if four years have passed, I understand how bad it can be to lose a family member in that way. Your story is something very special, it made me move in many moments and you know that I never cry for fanfictions. I also loved the fact that you described my house exactly as I always imagined it, strong, united and simply magnificent (modesty aside). I liked Draco's character very much, you made him super sweet while maintaining his usual attitude which I sincerely love. This is one of the best fanfiction I've ever read I wish you knew. I really hope that one day you will resume writing because this story is truly wonderful.

Ugh. I hate to be pushy, but are you planning on updating this. I think that its so good, and I think this is the third time that I started rereading it only to be incredibly frustrated once I got through the posted chapters. I completely understand if you have moved on from this story because it has definitely been a while since the last update, but I thought I would just ask and see whether you are planning to abandon the story and let you know that at least one person is interested in seeing this completed.

I don’t regret starting this story even though it’s incomplete. In fact, I found this story from a post someone created about fanfiction they loved that they were reasonably sure would never be updated again. I decided to check into this fic because of the title, it intrigued me and I really had only planned to read enough to find out what it meant.

However, I was snagged by the characters and the fluidity of your writing. I was entranced by the story.

This fic obviously took a lot of effort, dedication, and love from you. While I would love to read your planned ending, I know how life works sometimes and can imagine my own ending until if or when you decide to finish.

I have not read the other comments, but I read your author’s notes. It is unfortunate that people have left bad reviews, because this fic is amazing.

I’m also very sorry for the loss of your family member. I can imagine that it would be very hard to write a fic like this with that on your mind, even years later.

I’ve just read this story for the third time, I don’t usually read unfinished fics but I’m so glad I didn’t notice this was unfinished when I first saw it, because it’s been worth the heart break.
This is a beautiful story, and you are an incredible writer, every character has been spectacularly developed and each scene is genius.
I followed it a long time ago in the hopes that one day a notification for a new chapter would pop up, and will continue to do so. I also hope that you are ok because I don’t think you would have taken abandoning it lightly.

I love the Slytherins in it. And Draco is awesome. Also that last paragraph is lovely, exceedingly bittersweet, but lovely. The imagery is something else.

Hate Malfoy, hate how this was done, hate all of it. This is literally so toxic, and Malfoy is a dick. This isn't 'beautiful' at all.
