I never thought I would write a Jisbon one-shot. Jane and Lisbon have 'the sexual history conversation'. Fluff-free zone. Jane's history starts very young, which you might consider makes this 'M' territory (theme not language). Set after 'Blue Bird' as so many other fics have been. What would have happened if Jane had asked Lisbon out at the end of Violets? A one shot.

Sometimes gambling yields good results. Just a little piece of plot free fluff, because I can't seem to quit this show. Set a couple of months after Jane and Lisbon's wedding.

"He couldn't help looking at her, his beautiful wife, as she strode across the dance floor. She never stopped to dance, just thanked everybody for coming, having brief conversations with their guests." Jisbon, takes place after the finale. Fluff, nothing else. Rated K plus just to be sure.

"This day was a difficult one for Patrick Jane. Other people wouldn't understand how scared he was for his loved one, how much he feared something would happen to them. Not even his wife supported him enough to lift his spirits. She had just squeezed his arm and had told him not to be so childish." Really just future-Jisbon fluff, with a (grown) Jisbon baby as well. Rated K plus.

Jane and Lisbon embark on a camping trip in Canada with the Lisbon brothers.

Teresa was furious. Jane had screwed up again and she told him she wanted him to go away. But she didn't mean forever! Now Jane is in trouble and she has to find him and save him.

"He loved seeing her be pregnant. From the moment she had told him, she had glowed, but even before that, he had to admit that there was already that specific glow to her." Jisbon, almost full fluff, family fic. I was craving to write some Pregnant Lisbon and have some fluffy Jisbon baby scenes, so this is the result. One-shot. Rated K.

In My Blue Heaven, Dennis Abbot notices the seashell on Teresa Lisbon's desk. "It's a cowrie" she tells him. This is just a little musing about how that seashell came to be on her desk.

Imagine Lisbon is in on Jane's plot to trick Red John and Lorelei in Las Vegas. How might that have changed their paths, both to true love and to Red John? Romance/Drama/Humor/Jisbon. Rated T/M for language and adult situations.

Non-canon. If Cho weren't so oblivious and Jane had better ideas. Lisbon gets the wrong idea of course, but Jane straightens it out. Jisbon, duh!

What happened between the time Jane confessed his love on the airplane and Teresa shows up in the interrogation room? My take on that. T-rating with one bad word!

A short story set in the current economic climate, around the time of late Series 6. Jane and Lisbon are increasingly estranged, it would take a major incident to turn things around.

A chronological look at Patrick Jane's ingrained tendency to run away. The third and final chapter is up, and I've included an Epilogue. Expect drama, angst, and a bit of humor. I hope you enjoy it.

She sees his mouth form his response, and she has to look away as he answers. 'No,' he says. 'I don't want you to wait for me.'" Post Violets.

"'I was just looking out for my teammates,' he says quietly. 'That is what we are, right? A team,' he clarifies. Agent Lisbon smiles again, and it suddenly occurs to Jane that she is beautiful. Not like Angela had been. Rougher, sharper, somehow…but still beautiful. 'Yes,' she says finally. 'A team.'" Pre-series oneshot.

Just a little Jisbon fluff. Lisbon gets cravings in the middle of the night and Jane has to go get her food.

This is my take on when Teresa finds out she is pregnant, waiting until after the wedding to tell Jane and her reasons why. This is what viewers would've seen if it were my show! BUT, it belongs to Bruno Heller and I own nothing. It starts right after Vega's funeral, at the end of Nothing Gold Can Stay and continues a little after the end of White Orchids. There are 4 chapters.

Going 'way back to the first season of The Mentalist, I loved the Bloodshot episode. I thought there was a lot of room in that episode to further explore how Jane's sudden blindness affected him. We only saw his brave front in front of Lisbon and Cho for a short time in the hospital. Here is my attempt to fill in more details of that difficult time for him in the hospital.

I watched over her while she slept for hours and that why I'm here, wide awake at 3:30 in the morning in Teresa Lisbon's bed. Lisbon's promotion just sealed my unanswered questions. I'm following this woman anywhere in the world just to give ourselves the chance that we both deserve. A chance to start over again and a chance to finally live the lives we both desire.

Post Nothing Gold Can Stay. What did Jane do after he left Vega's funeral? Jane meets a stranger who helps him explore his feelings and motivation, and those of Lisbon. Will he find understanding and solutions, or at least hope of moving forward.

Three men have proposed to Lisbon over the years. Two engagements fail. One doesn't.

"Brushing aside his fears as though he's made some kind of unforgiveable sin in trying to save me is not the way to handle this. Because I understand now. Jane is not only trying to save me. He's trying to save himself. I'd been so sure I was right, that I deserved to win this argument. But as it turns out, neither of us did." A variation on Copper Bullet.

Just finished watching Strawberries and Cream Parts 1 & 2 and I could not help but infuse some more Jisbon related moments. They were an intense 2 episodes, but looking back again now, I wanted to highlight those moments and let myself get a bit more carried away with them. Just humoring myself and my fantasies.

Red John is dead. Red John is dead. Caught up in a flurry of emotions, Lisbon and Jane finally kiss... but then Lisbon runs away, crying. Cute one shot with banter and fluff!

UPDATED: Rose-Colored Glasses-My ideal ending. This may start a series of one-shots of how I dreamt various episodes could have ended -with Jane and Lisbon admitting their feelings for each other. There were 100s of missed opportunities throughout the 6 years and this is my way of compensating. The writers in their brilliance obviously knew what they were doing though!

We don't get to choose what happens to us. We don't always get the chance to choose who we love, or the direction that our lives will take. But sometimes, sometimes we get to make a choice that stands for something that matters.

How did the SCU start? How did a motley group of people become a tightly-knit team and makeshift family? By necessity Jane doesn't appear till chapter 5 since this story takes it back to the formation of Lisbon's team and the gradual team bonding. I was watching one of my favourite episodes, Red Rover, Red Rover, where Red John taunts Jane on the anniversary of his family's death. We see Jane go to a restaurant and sit at a table set for three to remember his family. I wondered: what about now? Now he has a new wife and child, what does he do? I hope you like what I came up with.

My own personal take on what happened after the finale ending. I know there's been a lot of these and originally I wasn't going to write one, but I did. It's just a short oneshot. I'm sure it's not what most people are expecting or hoping to read, but it was what I came up with. I hope you guys like it anyway.

He lived life in grey, no matter how bright he smiled his colors were never solid and there were no definite lines. She used to be the stark opposite of him. She'd had a clear moral of what she deemed black and white, the lines so clearly etched into stone that he used to find joy in trying to smudge her colors. They used to be so very different.
