Peter is locked in Stark Tower with an angry Hulk, and all Tony can do is watch from the outside in, and hope that the kid makes it out alive.

When Peter was recruited into the Avengers, he expected a lot of training and fighting. He certainly didn't expect a grumpy guy with a metal arm, a deaf archer who was a bit obsessed with pranks, or a sleep-deprived genius who had decided that Peter was his new project, and he certainly didn't expect Steve Rogers to act like such a... father.

After New York, Nick Fury decides the Avengers should be a permanent unit, and emails invitations to all of them. He gets 6 refusals. There are many reasons the Avengers don't want to assemble, but they all boil down to "there's no way Tony and Steve are ever going to get along." And then something goes wrong, and Tony and Steve have only one way to survive: rely on each other.

Clint and Tony have been kidnapped, and SHIELD can't find them. Tony is trying to send a message, but he isn't sure anyone on the other end understands him. Clint is ticked off because Tony keeps taking beatings for him. Their captors keep sending pictures of the beaten-up captives in hopes that SHIELD gives in and surrenders. Natasha is certain those pictures are hiding clues...

As Steve and the newly formed Avengers go to Germany to stop Loki, he can't help but dwell on a question that he was never able to answer: without the serum, what would he have become? Would he have changed like Howard Stark? Died like Bucky Barnes? Would he have given up on the little guys, or died fighting for them? And then he saw, there in the square, who he might have become.

Iron Man/Avengers. Tony Stark is kidnapped. He captors want information from him - information that he does, for once, genuinely, really, not possess. Will they believe him? Henry's past comes back to haunt him in the worst of ways when a psychopath bent on revenge goes after his son in a deadly game inspired by the dark themes of revenge in Harper Lee's 'To Kill a Mockingbird.' Now father and son must fight for their lives and for each other, because this guy is determined to kill a mockingbird: a snarky, faux-psychic mockingbird named Shawn Spencer.

The Avengers undergo experimental treatment to try and improve their field world. It seems to work... At first. But the team become trapped in a world where their nightmares might kill them, and some of them have a lot more to fear than the others.
